Housing impossible to find and prices astronomical. No jobs available to it's OWN CITIZENS. Canadians getting scammed by noncitizens. The landscape obliterated by trash and human excrement. Hospitals overwhelmed by non citizens leaving Canadians behind. Low birth rate due to unaffordability. There are actually areas in Canada that don't speak either official language. I can't even enter a shoppers drug mart without being assaulted by horrible body odor coming from the temporary foreign workers. END THE TFW PROGRAM. Farms are the only areas where it is needed. Canadian gov says we need to increase population... But not of it's own citizens. So they made it impossible for it's citizens to afford children and then dumped all of India into our country. IM SICK OF IT.

Canada is COOKED! crime, extortion, fake students on a visa working full time jobs, fake asylum claims, temporary foreigner worker program, "Diploma Mill" colleges, Poaching wild life. And ask the Canadians who grew up in Canada what it is like trying to find a job, If your last name isn't Singh or Patel good luck to you. Why is it that The Liberal government is letting in over 50% of the immigrants from India compared to the other nations? This is how you get cultural dominance. Immigrants who came to Canada before 2015 really wanted to become Canadian. Now everyone is coming at a fast rate, no one gives a F.

What an awful piece of journalism. Uhh look at graph go up! Up mean bad! Claims of an increase in suspicious asylum claims. Any sources? What is the definition of a suspicious asylum claim? Housing prices go up due to increased immigration. Any sources? Do corporate landlords stalling out the market have anything to do with this? Does anyone actually think that "low skill" workers taking up "Canadian teenagers'" jobs are able to afford a house? Temporary foreign workers taking up jobs. I have zero issue with people wanting to come to Canada to build a better life for themselves, what I have a problem with is the cheating to get into the country from the rampant fraud in India and then they cheat to get ahead like abusing the foreign temporary worker program to get kick backs and not trying to learn the language. If we went to India to do 1/10th of this we would be thrown in jail or worse

Thank you for showcasing this city. Brampton has long been the armpit of Peel Region, and the cause of many of the rest of our issues. The new entitled migrants that come here spill out into other areas of the GTA (Greater Toronto Area) spreading the crime and loitering, and essentially "taking over" certain places and causing massive issues. Our Car insurance rates in Peel are insanely high, primarily because of Brampton also being a part of Peel, and the high accident and theft rates coming out of that city. We have a massive issue here in Canada with unchecked mass immigration, and we don't see do be doing anything about removing the people who have overstayed their welcome, aswell as an issue with letting the new population move only to the same already developed places, overpopulating those areas that never had the infrastructure to support those numbers of people. Especially the households that are housing more families than just their own, the people who arent citizens that are clogging up our healthcare systems, all the jobs taken up by the Temporary Foreign Worker Program, the lack of openings in universities and colleges because of international students. Its unbelievable how much they take advantage of the system.

Its the government's fault. Temporary foreign workers program is a disaster.

She came here to study. And then she is classed as a TEMPORARY Foreign Worker. She even acknowleges that she doesn't have enough experience under the program's stipulations to stay. Is something lost in translation here? 🧐 She now has transferrable skills AND an education to take back to her home country. AND she can reapply to reimmigrate as a PERMANENT RESIDENT next time. She is exploiting the system.

The temporary foreign worker program is what's wrong with Canada.. it incentivizes businesses to hire foreigners over citizens.. the government literally pays for over 50% of their wages... Tim Hortons abuses it the most

this should be Canadian CITIZEN employees. not new Canadian employees looking for PR. and the temporary foreign worker program needs to be abolished.

There never was a clear path to permanent residency, hence the term "temporary foreign worker" and "international student program." Permanent residency was simply something these immigrant classes hoped for but were never promised. Quebec saw that these programs were being abused as backdoor efforts to gain permanent residency and have shut tte loopholes. The Canadisn Government should follow suit.

What about entirely stopping the temporary foreign workers program, for every industry, other than agricultural. Canadians need jobs, too. It can't ALL benefit big business at the expense of unemployed Canadian citizens.

Carney won't stop the Temporary Foreign Worker program - because then he'd have to leave Canada.
