Now Brampton and most of Canada is overrun with Punjabi “temp workers” “international students” “asylum seekers” etc. They have RUINED what used to be a nicely mixed city of Brampton. It used to be clean, friendly, safe….not anymore. I grew up Brampton all my life and I’ve never been afraid of going out in the evenings or to events, until the last 10 years happened, especially the last 7 years. These new Indian immigrants are NOT respectful, not clean, downright rude, they stare at you if you’re a woman, I mean STARE. Im the summers of you wear a dress or shorts (and you’re an Indian or brown girl) they will yell obscene things and stare you down, it’s disgusting.

This is going to sound super cruel but in American its just as bad, over the last 8 years over 30 family owned businesses or small restaurants have been taken over and bought out by Indian people in my area alone, the food quality dips, quality in general dips, they're rude, they get mad if THEY mess up at you which is super disrespectful. I come from a Hispanic culture do be respectful to other human beings if you enter another person's country. Your laws no longer apply here and people who are foreign seem to think that is not the case. I hate seeing local grocery stores get bought out because nothing feels the same. Its not a community anymore its an infestation of rude, self centered obnoxious foreigners who treat everyone like crap because they're miserable. Many don't last because American's aren't going to go to a place that isn't really local anymore its not the same faces they're used to its a cheap old Indian man who is too lazy to fix anything and gets mad when you order too much and by too much like 4 things....

Canadians themselves are responsible because a good few of them are running illegal education rackets blessed by their respected governments. Why Indians because Indians want to get out their messy country where jobs are scarce, lawlessness corruption is extreme on top countries like UK Canada Australia and NZ are making billions out of these so-called students. On top they are getting 19-year-old to 30-year educated healthy young ones to work for them for pittance. Your government knows it very well and they should be blamed for the mess. Here is a aggressively neutral take as a Canadian elementary school teacher in an area with an extremely high Indian population (around half our school is ethnically Indian). It is also my own opinion, and some opinions on the internet suck: The good: Cultural integration IS possible (the Indian families are more into hockey than the white families where I live), tons of cross-cultural friendships, beautiful blend of cultural celebrations, top achievers are almost always second-generation immigrants, kids are growing up to love their parents' culture while also loving Canada's, many fantastic families who engage their children well and raise them very respectfully, religious temples that will feed an amazing meal to ANYBODY who walks into them (as long as you cover your hair), low rates of family trauma (drugs, abuse, divorce, etc.), families that take care of their elders The rough: Not all families are interested in being Canadian (some families just send their kids to Indian speaking private schools, live in Indian areas, and only seem to practice Indian ways of life - what's even the point?), many Indian families retreated into their home-lives during Covid which removed their children from integration opportunities, a very small percentage of the families are absolutely TERRIBLE at parenting and treat their sons and daughters with different levels of respect, multi-family households pay a single property tax which makes the contribution per taxpayer much smaller (while social benefits are equal to anybody else), some crime such as extortion and gang activity has been imported into the country, some individuals' disregard for rules and laws (setting fireworks on Diwali in the middle of a dry, grassy field is just plain stupid), some Indian communities seem to vote blindly for their own ilk during local elections without any regard for policy or experience, LMIA immigration program has been corrupted by the nepotism of bad actors and the greed of large corporations (wages can be federally subsidized which makes it cheaper to hire immigrants than the 16 year old down the street). Many of these families were simply making good choices for their own family, so don't blame the people themselves for this - blame the government that allowed it to fester unsustainably. I'll continue to stick up for the majority of these beautiful families though - haters be darned! Watching these kids grow up gives me some hope for humanity!

New immigrants are not like the old immigrants. I am native, roots go back hundreds of years before Canada became Canada. My whole family worked in the orchards with Indian families that came here a long time ago, they adapted and changed and loved being in Canada, and these families had respect and worked hard and got along with everyone peacefully. New immigrants, they are here working for half the price for large companies getting kick backs. Why be here if you are trying to change everything?! Adapt like everyone else before you did. And those people have lived here for a long time and even say the same thing! We are losing our grip here people!
