One thing i can and do respect about indians is that they will never be pushy with their religions. Sure you'll find some "bad apples" but rare. Here is a aggressively neutral take as a Canadian elementary school teacher in an area with an extremely high Indian population (around half our school is ethnically Indian). It is also my own opinion, and some opinions on the internet suck: The good: Cultural integration IS possible (the Indian families are more into hockey than the white families where I live), tons of cross-cultural friendships, beautiful blend of cultural celebrations, top achievers are almost always second-generation immigrants, kids are growing up to love their parents' culture while also loving Canada's, many fantastic families who engage their children well and raise them very respectfully, religious temples that will feed an amazing meal to ANYBODY who walks into them (as long as you cover your hair), low rates of family trauma (drugs, abuse, divorce, etc.), families that take care of their elders The rough: Not all families are interested in being Canadian (some families just send their kids to Indian speaking private schools, live in Indian areas, and only seem to practice Indian ways of life - what's even the point?), many Indian families retreated into their home-lives during Covid which removed their children from integration opportunities, a very small percentage of the families are absolutely TERRIBLE at parenting and treat their sons and daughters with different levels of respect, multi-family households pay a single property tax which makes the contribution per taxpayer much smaller (while social benefits are equal to anybody else), some crime such as extortion and gang activity has been imported into the country, some individuals' disregard for rules and laws (setting fireworks on Diwali in the middle of a dry, grassy field is just plain stupid), some Indian communities seem to vote blindly for their own ilk during local elections without any regard for policy or experience, LMIA immigration program has been corrupted by the nepotism of bad actors and the greed of large corporations (wages can be federally subsidized which makes it cheaper to hire immigrants than the 16 year old down the street). Many of these families were simply making good choices for their own family, so don't blame the people themselves for this - blame the government that allowed it to fester unsustainably. I don’t blame the immigrants, I blame our liberal government because they are the ones who are supposed to control the amount of people coming into the country. If I travel to another country that I want to live in or work in, I need to follow their rules, laws and respect their culture, not trash their country, and change their culture and country to my country. My daughter is a fully qualified for graphic Designer and yet (with thousands of $$$in student debt) cannot find a job. She actually put in her resume with an Indian name as well as in her own name. It's worse than this video shows. I don't live in Brampton and my town is entirely * after 10 years. Everywhere I go is * people. It doesn't matter what store or business or service I contact it's just * people now. When I went to college everyone was from there. This was a regular local college that Canadian kids aspire to go to. They made up 90% of the classmates, they never showed up to class, they refused to participate in team projects, nobody failed. They did so poorly but the school charges 3x. My final year they cancelled final exams because they decided too many international students would fail. They are from the same country but they have different religions and from different cities that hate each other so they would refuse to communicate with each other. Imagine you meet someone from another province and you hate them and aren't afraid to crashout in public over it. My next door neighbors there is so many people living in the house that they live there on a schedule one group in and one group out. You would think they would be going to work NO they literally hang out all day long like a bad 90s comedy movie. In the last 10 years all of the house in my town skyrocketed in price. The people around me all bought around 2010 - 2015 for $150k - $260k and sold for around $1m 2023 - 2026. Average house price in my town has stayed at 3x what it was 10 - 15 years ago. They don't rake their leaves, they don't clean up their trash, they don't clear their snow from their driveways. Both my parents are immigrants, they came here poor had to work, had to respect the country and its laws and culture because that's what allowed Canada to be successful so they could come here. The problem is immigration back in day was a luxury in India so only riches made it outside and they were rich compared to others after independence because they were more pro british and served them. So it was easy for them to immigrate and assimilate into your culture. Now you see many poor people also immigrating because immigration became more accessible, its just like the touchscreen phones, before only rich people had them, but later and now everyone has it. Plus your overly liberal and the stupid point system lets anyone enter the country if they meet a specific criteria, they barely check their english, background, crime record, etc. Also, living in India is a survival, or a nightmare for short. Especially for the poor people in the up north, and so they go to these shady agents who claim that they can send him or her to Canada, UK, Australia where ever they want in exchange for some money. Sometimes these agents turnout to be scams and sometimes not, then these students apply to some fake university that has no campus in Canada and select a course thats easy. Then once approved they come to canada, don’t go to university and make some other indian friends who say they have contacts with some job providers and through that the students get their jobs at the fast food joints and shopping malls. The mindset with which these students come to Canada is that I want to get a simple job as soon as I land in Canada and through that job I can get a PR. They never go to assimilate or discover the culture, they come because the country looks nice, has resources, and will provide them with a good salary so that they send some money back home to their parents as compared to low paying jobs in India, which too are super competitive. They still like the indian way of life, the culture, the food, the attire, just not in India. Thats why you’ll never see these students eating at anything other than a Indian Punjabi Restaurant or a fast food joint, they will never make white friends, they will never try to change the way they speak and look at Canadians, they will never try to change their driving habits. In conclusion, more poor people and students migrating, paired with their mindset of “I want everything to be Indian just not in India but in a place that looks better” paired with their low interest in actually learning and working better jobs is what makes them a bad immigrant group. But thats not to say that all are like that its only some and mostly Punjabis/ other North Indians that have this mindset. The reason why the Indian group in USA is much better and successful is because they are mostly of south indian descent. Those people are far more educated, actually respect the law of the land. And fun fact: The stereotypical Indian Accent originated from USA mainly and reason why many indians say that they don’t speak in that accent is because that particular stereotypical accent is present in Indian people who come from the states of Andra Pradesh and Telegana, which is is where most of the Indians in USA are actually from. I immigrated to Canada in 1996. This country was such a beautiful and peaceful place back then.. Unfortunately, these immigrants these days have no respect or courtesy for Canadian laws and other people. The majority of them come in, commit crimes, partake in protests that disrupt everyday Canadians just trying to get to work and support their families, all while collecting free money from the government, not to mention free health care and they do not even have the decency to simply follow the laws and regulations of this country. I hope the Canadian government takes action soon to get Canada back to the way it should be.

I'm Canadian. I've spend my entire adult life involved with everything immigration. I have no problem with immigration which to me is people moving. It offers great people and great things. I have a problem with women and children abused, in violence and almost killed and our resources which are suppose to help protect the men coming here doing this because as immigrants they have value and so support anything they do to innocent people here because they have more worth as human beings than people born, raised and who lived here all their lives. This includes not one specific culture but numerous ones and I am referring to a different one than referenced in this video. Respect divided into two opposite meanings, ignorance, lack of care, abuse, hate and so many things which our government is permitting to happen and people are losing their physical lives and becoming physically and mentally ill and it is directly related to destroying Canadians living here, killing them to force a message of change of respects and persons need to die to force it.

When I moved here 7 years ago, Canada felt like heaven. People were respectful, culture was strong, even Tims had great customer service. I was eager to adapt, made Canadian friends, worked in a church Downtown, Barrie to assimilate. Now it feels totally different, more chaotic almost third world in parts. Honestly, I don’t blame immigrants, I blame the laws. They’re too soft, and people take advantage. Refugee protection, settlement aid, multiculturalism sounds welcoming on paper, but in practice, they’re dragging the country down.

I share the same sentiments as these Canadian citizens.I'm an immigrant myself, and it is our moral obligation, to respect the culture and Laws, etc. There are people coming from other countries, especially in certain parts of Asia, as if they are here to take over Canada. Some years ago I was going home from work about 9 :45 pm and an Indian female told me to get up from beside her, so her friend could sit beside her.

To be here as a citizen today, I had to pay CAD$35.000 for a two years program in Toronto. But to get the study visa I had to prove a lot of things, including money, proof that I had paid the college (at least 1st year), English, a Bachelor degree (education), a clear criminal history, and what attach me to my country. I had to study hard, and only after graduation I could have 3y work permit. By working in Canada I could get more point to become a permanent resident. After 2y having my PR, I could get the citizenship, but I had to prove I pay taxes, clear criminal history, and other things that show I would be a good citizen. So, I worked (and still work) hard, I am currently in two jobs and at school taking my masters, I respect the laws, I respect the culture (I never tried to impose mine), and I pay over CAD$10.000 in taxes per year on my income. That said, I feel as a slap on my face when fraudulent and dishonest people are able to be here cheating the system in any way. Some people may say I am an immigrant against immigration. NO, I am in favor of people taking the right path to immigrate, and make real contributions for this country, not coming to be scammers and criminals.

As a Canadian immigrant, I didn’t have any special treatments (given a job, medical and money to live here….). Anyone wants to live in Canada, should follow Canadian laws, regulations, and respect Canadians! Try not to change what Canada has.

Respect the law of Canada. We as an immigrant be great full for giving as the opportunity. Respect ❤ Canada
