Oh we have a similar problem in Poland. Ukrainians evreywhere! They are not assimilating at all. Ukrainian bussinesses just for them, they don't even want to learn our freaking language. This is super disrespectful. We provide them safety and in return they are making a small Ukraine within our beautiful country I refuse to accept this.

I grew up with lots of ukrainian and other immigrants, and on the whole, they are okay. Current ukrainian refugees are, I have noticed, a bit confused owing I think to the unfortunate circumstances which caused them to relocate. I suspect a lot will repatriate themselves when the war ends. I've encoutered many immigrants over the years and I have noticed, that in the last 20 years or so that a disturbing number of refugees are bogus exploitative jerks who wound up here because they weren't welcome where they came from because of their own character flws.

So of course any business like retail or restaurant’s biggest overhead is labour costs so if they can save like $6.00 an hour on every employee why wouldn’t they opt in for that. I also did a very deep dive into the voters in Canada. At least 4.5 million out of the 8.5 million voted the Carney liberals got in April 2025 were immigrant votes. That’s why Carney and liberals pander to the gigantic Muslim population in Canada. Muslims, Chinese, Indians from India, Ukrainians, Filipinos they all pretty much vote liberal. There weee over 100 Muslim groups that told their Muslim community to only vote for candidates that support Gaza Muslims and Palestinians. How is that not election interference. We know the Chinese directly interfere in our elections by threatening Chinese Canadians to vote liberal or their families in China will be harmed or they will be harmed inside Canada. In June Carney said Muslim values are Canadian values. Either this clown has no idea how radical Islam is or he knows and just panders for votes. Liberal cabinet ministers Anita Anand and Melanie Joly they both openly campaigned saying they must support Palestine because they both have large Muslim populations in their respective ridings. Over half of the liberal voter base is foreign now. I started in 2019 telling the federal conservatives look the liberals are importing new liberal voters. The party needs a strategy to win over the immigrant vote. I proposed hiring a team of individuals from the Muslim community, Chinese community etc to brainstorm on how to get their message across that if your an immigrant your best to vote conservative because the liberals don’t care about them they just want their vote. Show them how they may never own a home, how their kids will be worse off than them. That buy bringing in about 2 million more immigrants a year it is causing inflation and the affordability crisis. I believe if you can show these immigrant communities the truth they may consider voting conservative. Bit of the conservatives refuse to pivot we will never see another federal conservative govt in our lifetimes. It’s not racist it’s the truth. We need a foreign registry act to kick out foreign entities that harass bully and threaten immigrants in Canada to bend the knee or else. If we have 100 Islamic groups telling their community it’s yo only vote one way charge them with election interference. We need electoral reform badly in Canada. We need to end all immigration to Canada for at least 5 years maybe even 10. We need to deport those here illegally. No more fake asylum claims. This country can still be saved but we need immigrants on board to help save it. We need to remove broadcasting licenses of mainstream media networks that lie and bash conservatives. That’s deliberate political interference. It’s time we enforce the law. No more hate speech or hate crimes against any community especially the Jews. these 'new canadians' refuse to assimilate and accept traditional canadian culture and values. anyone is free to practice their religion and practice and celebrate its cultural ancestry. canadians dont want anyone to forget or abandon its culture. my roots come from ukraine and poland. but im canadian. i work with many ukrainians that fled the war, they're labelled as 'displaced peoples (funny because theyre chritian and white), recieve no federal assistance some have even gone back to ukraine! meanwhile (conveniently 'non white' other religion) new canadians receive extensive federal assistance

I came as student in 2013 I am now Canadian from past 5 years. I just want to mention government is to blame for They earned so much money from international students. I studied with Ukrainian Chinese Mexican and Russian students . They weren't good in English as well But they all worked very hard and very dedicated. Initially it was difficult find job they asked young students for Canadian experience which obviously none of the students had Ircc is laziest department. Even college cares about fees only. Because if student leave the college they don't get back the fees. So they are absolutely fine with this kind of fraud. .and private college are worst among everything. Students doesn't have to attend college. The fraud is now they just gets degrees and some else studies for them. Canada is not corrupt but Canadian politicians to get votes made Canada curupted. Covid benefits fueled this . Downhill started with Covid ended.

My girlfriend lives in Brampton, it’s a really nice city and I’ve always felt welcome there as a white guy dating a Punjabi woman. Theres a lot of cities like this surrounding the GTA, Richmond Hill with Iranians, Markham with Chinese, Etobicoke with Ukrainians. Brampton has Punjabis. Brampton is probably the most successful out of all of them, prosperous, growing rapidly and it has a low crime rate.

I think it is important to realize that immigration comes in waves. right now we are seeing a huge wave of indian immigrants but eventually it will slow down and many will return home and a new wave will come. I think we often forget we are a country of immigrants. All of us have origins elsewhere, at one point the wave of immigration we came from caused "disruptions". Irish, Italian, Ukrainian ect. endlessly we were have waves of immigration. the best thing to do is learn about each others culture and realize we are all born under the same sun.

You should come to Portland OR and Vancouver WA, Seattle area too - compare and contrast these communities to the Russians that moved here in the 90s. Still only one generation, but very assimilated, just with old foods and some customs of the old land. Like Germans, Scandinavians, English, Scottish, Polish, Italians, French immigrants. 2nd gen is already thoroughly Americanized. By 3rd generation, impossible to tell the difference. We do tend to be much more conservative, very Protestant actually in the PNW. Ilya Malinin, a memeber of our US figure skating team, is ethnically Russian. Looks like a Russian, but Russians look very American generally. Many such cases. And then the Mexis, Somalis, Indians...
