a few years back Brampton had a mayoral election and one of the people running was this guy John Sprovieri and he received and email complaining that a white man should not even be running because white people no longer have any business planning Bramptons future. He replied saying that people of all backgrounds want to come because of what white people built" he was sanctioned by the government for that comment and he was touted as a racist from then on. No comment was made about the indian woman who said white people shouldn't be allowed in the government in a Canadian city anymore. Last time I was in Brampton I was told to go back to my own country because I asked a group of indians who were playing indian music from concert volume speakers in a residential area at 1 am to turn it off. I don't think you captured a small fraction of how bad it is in Brampton.

I live in Brampton it's bad, at least I live in the southern part where it's not quite as infested, but it's still bad. We used to play spot the white guy driving up the 410, and that was like 15 years ago.

Tbh its alot more saturated than you would think, I live in B.C and do alot of uber deliveries, 2400 alone last year. Id say 70% of the people in houses, and some really nice houses are Indian. Also most fast food restaurants are run by indian managers and staff, I was in a KFC the other day that had 1 younger white male at the counter, and 5 punjab behind the counter. The workers were all yelling at eachother about orders in their language and the white guy looked so confused. English is the first language in Canada so it should be learned especially when it comes to a business context, does our government care tho? Nope.

I'm a white guy born in Mississauga just south of Brampton. I've been living in a tent for over two months. Youth stand near the woodlot where i live and shout "Indian go home" The news and researcher-academic classes tell us we didn't want to work and we were unqualified for work, and now they tell us we are racists if we even blink wrong.

As a white Canadian in a skilled trade who has lost 100's of thousands in work to lower bids from East Indians it honestly makes me wanna apply for M.A.I.D I worked for four years In a apprenticeship to get my redseal these guys come work for three months at the union's an they leave start their own company it's only 150$ for a business license in Canada and than they cut my throat a job worth 80 a sheet for hang tape an paint they come an bid at 15$ a sheet! Beautiful thing about we Hindus or Sikhs is that we don't enforce our culture to anyone. If it was Islam, Brampton would have become a no go zone or a mini Islamic country. You might ask me, why don't they assimilate with locals? Well, we are culturally different and our skin colours are different. Assimilation at large scale requires common ground. In work places, people assimilate but Race Mixing at large scale is also not good for the society. It's very sad to see white people being homeless, Build a community of your own, look after one another. To be honest, you guys have destroyed your family structure in the name of individualism, feminism etc...

I live in brampton, and it is actually wild. Every single business has been bought and turned indian. Go to Walmart, im.the only white guy. I have nothing against indian. I would feel the same if it was any race , including white people. There should be diversity it should just be equal. They let way to many people into canada way to easy

I actually worked at Tim Hortons(I'm a white guy), and there were literally so many Indians that they'd order each other around in Hindi. They'd only speak English to me and the customers. I had a shift coordinator in fact who would reflexively give me orders in Hindi, and would get a little ticked off and repeat it in Hindi, and then when it clicked that I'm the only non-Hindi speaker there, he'd give 1 word orders like "Garbage" or "Sinks". The owner of the Tim Hortons also said that if I was a little slow or needed extra training, they wouldn't fire me because they don't like to keep rotating workers around, and instead would rather just retrain them. I was a tad bit slow(only because I was precise and not violating health and safety standards), and they fired me in like 10 seconds. Like my second monthly review, I was fired. I have a feeling it largely had to do with the fact that I was not Indian and didn't speak Hindi, so therefore the shift coordinators had less tolerance for me.

This is a great mini doc that takes time to hear out all sides. It's interesting how white immigrants see themselves on a higher tier, the Polish guy was saying Indian immigrants all get hotels- totally untrue! If you compare how the anti-immigrant ppl are speaking vs the immigrants you can see which side the hatred is coming from. I like when the Sikh temple leader tells him we see eachother as the same, we are all human- this strongly counters the thoughts ppl have on Indians clinging to their own. Ofc not all think like him

It’s very interesting because Indians seem to be more thick skinned than Canadians in general, so even white ppl’s reservations or microaggressions don’t register to them and they just keep expanding on positivity. I’ve met many Indian people in Canada and it almost seems like they’re so positive and community minded that they think it’s small minded to be stingy about sharing space, which can clash with the general reserved nature of Canadians but also make you feel embarrassed in a way about being judgmental. You even see it in this video with the white guy asking judgey questions to Indians but he gets showered with food and hospitality from the Indians. No matter how you fight it you kind of get overpowered by their positivity…

The fact is that they eat rice and lentils with spices kind of food ...so obviously they will buy that stuff from those people who sell it. The Canadian white people should focus on doing South Asian business and stuff rather than complaining.

I love Punjabi people, they are high class and they surprise me when they tell me they were farmers before coming to canada because I don't get that rugged vibe from them. That guy at 2:50 was purhaps the most honest 'white' guy you will meet. The fact is Indians didn't take over, the upper class just decided to move north to Bolton or more west to the Halton area. Over time enough Indians replaced them to basically take over important roles like police officers and political positions. Eventually just like East Asians have Markham and parts of Scarborough, the south Asians had a high enough population for Brampton to be considered their home turf. Eventually though it was the student visas that drove Canadians crazy. Millions of students in record time and I believe there was an additional 4 million who came on temporary work visas during covid, eventually Canadians got annoyed. Personally I don't see any problem with it as long as we keep building apartments and homes for the new immigrants to rent and live it doesn't bother me. I would like to see three times more immigration especially from Europe as this country is super underpopulated and we need people to open factories and build companies that will strengthen Canada as a whole and employ our own not just send money back to their countries. So its not an invasion we just need come to a place of understanding and learn to work together. I will finish with the one negative; there truly is a massive lack of assimilation and this may prove to be more of a problem than we realize but I won't go into it. Stay strong my Punjabi friends 👳🏿
