About 15 years ago, my sister in law wanted to bring her father here from South Africa; however, immigration said "no, because he was acriskbto the Canadian health system". They couldnt even bring him over even with the promise to pay out of pocket for healthcare should it be needed. I find it utterly disgusting that as a born Canadian citizen I can't get a job, proper healthcare and live in a culture where immigrants (not all if them do this) thumb their noses at us. These immigrants, in my opinion, have NO intention of learning the english language either. I can't figure out why some of them even bothered coming to Canada because they haven't left their crap where they came from. It is no wonder Poland is the way they are about Immigration.

Lets bring that over here. Many sham schools in India abuse our immigration merit system. What's even worse is that we bring in different groups of people from that region indiscriminately, and they fight each other when they get here too... who would have thought??? Indian people are great, when you actually thoroughly vet them. If you check the numbers given by the Canadian government its insanely disproportionate how many people are immigrating from India relative to other countries.

Yup, completely fed up with these immigrants getting huge $$$ for nothing and 8 out of the 10 top countries that migrate to Canada 🇨🇦 are from India or strictly Muslim countries, why? Why is majority of immigrants coming here from just India and Muslim countries for years now, its changing our once wonderful, beautiful country because their cultures are vastly different and they don't assimilate into ours. this is my understanding from London, lived in surrey, Langley and vancouver, its the immigrants who are the most pissed off. my friend from bc he is from fiji and it was so hard for him to get here all the tests and what not, then to get his wife in took him 7 yrs then Trudeau opens the flood gates but not to normal immigrants but to people seeking asylum, by the tens of thousands halting regular immigration.

I had a co-worker who applied for PR and keeps waiting and waiting, one co-worker from India said to him.. “Dude! Just get marry with someone who has a citizenship and you will get a spousal visa so easy, quick! That’s how all my indian friends got it. It’s like a contract.” I told her “Hey that’s illegal!” And that Indian girl laughed and said “Who cares!” They are ruining the entire immigration system in Canada.

Who does the background checks on people immigrating to Canada. Some of the seem like insurrectionists . Almost like India gathered a lot of their criminal population and sent them here. We had an incident recently filmed a group of 5 or 6 Indian immigrate men shooting up one of our brand trail bridge and shooting shot guns and other long barreled rifes into the air.. then left their garbage and spent shells behind. Not sure why this isn’t country wide. I came to Canada as a legal immigrant 40 years ago worked and paid taxes my whole life. Pains me when I see fake refugee claimants getting free dental while I pay through the nose. And many such injustices. I hate how hard I work trying to save up for a house and yet immigrants who come over just automatically get one. I'm tired when I'm on a call with someone it always ends up being someone with an extremely thick accent to the point where I have to decipher what they're saying. I've kept most of this frustration to myself cause I don't want to be racist, but it's getting over to that boil over point. It honestly feels like we're slowly being taken over. I'm never having kids simply because it's too expensive. Why would I bring a kid into this world, if they're probably gonna have it way worse than I.

This is a horrible situation on both ends and the fact that its all 100% administration failure is sad. Its not fair to anyone not even the immigrants. They keep bringing in more people then the economy can afford to live here I frankly find it ridiculous. I want to know whats driving these policies to continue. My parents came to canada 25 years ago, they payed thousands of dollars to get status here. Now people are getting in as cheap labour that can't even afford to live here so they dogpile 10-15 people in the same 2-3 bedroom apartments or houses and the infrastructure is still being built on the logic of single families when in the reality thr opposite is happening we have sudden crowding because rent is unaffordable due to the massive influx of people, including canadian born nationals that are forced to live in these environments if they don't have support- Its crazy why not close your borders stabilize rebuild infrastructure then slowly work on immigration policies again when the housing market and job market are stable again. Theres absolutely no reason to cite labour shortages when theres an unemployment rate and homeless people everywhere- close the borders- get homes built, throw heavy incentives to join and get educated on any productive field that has a shortage upto and including providing shelter to canadian citizens that decide to pursue these fields and are homeless. Have a fast track rotating incentive down to the year along with guaranteed on job training for all occupations. Such a simple solution so stupid we can't execute it. Too busy squabbling liberal conservative baseline rhetoric that we made ourselves blind to the human cost in our own borders.

Exactly as an Indian I'd say these Indian excluding the southern and North Eastern part of the integral India, Pakistani and bangladeshi immigrants although not all but majority are littering abroad and have been truly bringing nothing but disgrace back home. They are invading the surreal ambience of The West which is certainly not fair. And This is infact not their fault entirely ; they are shown dreams of a Utopian World brimming with opportunities they are assured they'd only get in the English speaking nations or other Western nations .

As to the subject at hand, Canadians should not be responsible for immigrants or people claiming asylum health costs for anything past their first 6 months here. Going past 6 months indicates that they have yet to gain employment and are living off our backs. Those who are still here after being turned back should be located and sent packing immediately regardless of their present standing. For example, someone came here and was rejected but never left. Today they get picked up and now they claim they have a family here. They should still be removed because if they had left when they were supposed to they wouldn't have that family now would they. Yes, it may appear to be harsh but is it not harsh to use the funds provided by people who have a legal right to be here to support those who never should have been here?

The government should fire the immigrants that are working or don't hire them at all, ive had trouble looking in 2019 after I came back from visiting my family from Italy, I couldn't get a job, I just gave up and im on a month to month and my cat is sick too

Personally as an Indian, I really feel bad about it. Unfortunately, we DO go to other countries for a chance at better life and dignity, but a lot us Indians then start to feel privileged and entitled and do not adapt to the culture of the country they are in, and force their own cultures and individual beliefs. This sucks, especially as a young guy who dreams of living in other countries, while respecting their cultures and planning to adapt to them. Even in India too, we don't really pay much taxes since we know its gonna go into corruption anyway, so the Immigrant residents in Brampton may have carried forward that practice as their habit. This gets a lot of us good folks, generalized for no reason too, Although, I do understand the anti-Indian sentiments foreigners have towards us, but again.. not every Indian are like that, since it has also been pointed out by few others. Although, I AM genuinely sorry for the problems Canadians might be facing in Brampton right now

I must say it is refreshing to hear the same opinion from immigrants that did things the correct legal way and for the right reasons. I can tell you right now if I was to go to another country I would not get there illegally and take advantage of anything and everything I can from that countries government while showing hate for that very country. Carney put an incompetent in this Immigration role. He wants millions of new immigrants to come to Canada. While they may have lowered student Visas and temporary worker permits, VISITOR PERMITS are probably being given out in the millions …. ONCE these ‘visitors come’ - they are NEVER followed up to ensure they go home. It is these people applying for refugee status or asylum .. in the millions …. Liberals want this uncontrolled immigration - with no checks and balances .. because these are the millions of new votes they are getting. Who can check on VISITOR visas and the numbers coming in and going home? I think this is the gap …????

Hindus and Sikhs indulged in violence against each other and saw communal riots in Canada in 2023. Indian govt infact has started assassinating naturalised Canadian citizens from India, who are deemed to be "threat" (tick off the hindu nationalidt govt in power). I know some folks, including my neighbour, who immigrated to Canada right after high School — they take services of immigration agents who have contacts with diploma mills there, get a student visa citing enrollment in a sham educational degree, join a minimum wage job and rig the whole process to attain PR & then citizenship — essentially giving low skilled, poorly assimilated labour the citizenship in Canada under guise of skilled or educated immigration. Even as an Indian, the whole situation is insane and astounding to say the least. Hindu Nationalism has spread its roots & conducts marches in Canada within the Indian Hindu areas like they do here in India and people have started performing river aartis as well (communal prayers to worship rivers) — all kinds of pernicious identitarianism is festering there. A ton of Indian immigrants now see Canada merely as a source to better life & resources, but relate to, & are patriotic towards India or assert their rawer religious Sikh or Hindu identity due to lack of any assimilatory pressure & absence of a well defined Canadian identity. Funniest part is Indians, esp Hindus, who vote for hindu nationalists ushering majoritarian policies in India, cheer for persecution of minorities and justify caste system, suddenly co-opt liberalism & decietfully use its talking points to defend their position as a minority in places they migrate to (they do not believe in so, and don't apply the same standards to themselves). If you wish to blame someone, blame the govt of Canada and its elites. At the end of the day, they wanted cheap manual labour, and opened the gates without much consideration.
