Anti Immigration / refugee protests on an already occupied land eradicating indigenous populations by European settlers is nothing but a joke. The mere fact your ancestors arrived here 2-3 generations back, doesn't offer entitlement as owner of the land. Do you remember how many slaves European Colonizers have killed? King Leopold, Algerian war of Independence against France, how many African slaves lost their lives to build the Congo-Ocean Railway? Spanish demolition of Aztec and Inca empire in South America, did you remember the Encomienda system?! Why did Taino people vanish on Caribbean Island?! Portuguese forced labor policies in Angola, Mozambique?? Millions of them lost lives to fight against Portuguese colonizers. Then our favorite East India Company, the British empire where Sun Never Set. They decimated India, Australian Aboriginal, New Zealand Māori and Red Indians, native Americans who migrated to America from Asia long back. How many natives' indigenous populations countries after countries, continent after continent, their father mother daughter son wife husband grandparents your ancestors have killed???? Do you have any count????? In this civilized world no Supremacists be it Right or Left wing, especially Hitler, Mussolini, Stalin like White Supremacist have no place anymore, you have done enough good for the world. Immigration technically is an asset for a country like Canada, however the open door policy turned that asset into a liability. When you have a migrant community congregate into ghetto like fashion, you know your policy has failed somewhere. Psychologically speaking human would naturally gravitate towards people they have similarities(language, color, likes & dislikes, etc) with and congregate as a "tribe" for warmth & security. Just put one white person alone in the middle of an Indian market at rush hour, i promise you they'd run to the first white person they spot for "security", now tell that one guy that he has to live in India for the foreseeable future and that he has a choice of living in any area of that city and he learns that there a part of town where most of the white people live, where do you think he'll go?

Good journalism, it's good to get out and hear what people are thinking. In viewing, it occurs to me that it's hard for white people, and maybe Christians, to understand some Asians. I'm an American, so-called white American, and love Sanatana Dharm, or what most people call Hinduism - that term should soon be forgotten. Anyway, this video shows a variety of people called Indians but whom are vastly different in belief. So much so, they maybe fighting in India but abroad, they stick together. Islam and most Indian philosophies (they are not religions as there is no overarching institution or organization) feed the "devotees" several times a day...it is a part of the culture, shared meals with those who share faith. The Indians, they basically want a better life and will send money home. Muslims will buy land through a trust and then buy more and more. I don't know about Canada, but there are no such cultures in America - well, the Church has bought a lot of land but does nothing to serve people. The Mormons have land and a strong daily schedule, some community churches have very strong programs, but as a whole, The Church has done nothing to make itself appealing and therefore, there's no opposite or equal force. What to do? and as far as assimilating, yes, they should, but to what? Should they start playing hockey, drinking beer, etc. The second gen might. The West has lost it's way and religion isn't the solution but a culture not so decadent would be a good start.

these 'new canadians' refuse to assimilate and accept traditional canadian culture and values. anyone is free to practice their religion and practice and celebrate its cultural ancestry. canadians dont want anyone to forget or abandon its culture. my roots come from ukraine and poland. but im canadian. i work with many ukrainians that fled the war, they're labelled as 'displaced peoples (funny because theyre chritian and white), recieve no federal assistance some have even gone back to ukraine! meanwhile (conveniently 'non white' other religion) new canadians receive extensive federal assistance

Change is bound to happen. The indigenous people were happy and making life for themselves until you guys came. This is just part of the cycle with the East Indians coming in. The new world was not originally white.

WE WERE ALL IMMIGRANTS IN CANADA when our families first moved here..we had to take new last names which was what your new occupation just became entering Canada..no matter where you came from..NOW you keep your family name occupation and standard of living..new immigrants ..you got it easy...my family had to assimulate,work hard and establish ..do it yourself housing and rig up equipment to work with..the first white men dealing with natives...on and on...

I'm white and obviously it's not all Indians, but the only demographic I've experienced racism and prejudice from are Indians. I try to remember to keep an open mind as generalizing is wrong, but it's getting harder and harder especially since majority of staff in jobs I worked recently are prejudiced and stick to their own ranks. ..most of the people "interviewed" are white - they may have born in Canada, their parents & grandparents may have been born in Canada OR their parents, grandparents or they themselves coming from countries where the majority of the population is caucasian e.g. Portugal, Poland - with similar religious backgrounds. Why did they leave Poland, Portugal, Greece or Italy? Why are they "more acceptable" as immigrants, than others? If for example, mass immigration had come from Russia (or G:)d help us Romania) - what would they say?

Honestly could be so much worse but it is unfortunate to imagine a close knit majority white town completely changing for the worse because the government wanted to bring in a foreign people instead of prioritizing its own people.
