As an Indian, that's really sad and I'm sorry on behalf of everyone Every country needs to protect it's identity If you're proud of your country, stay there. If you wish to move out from your country just assimilate, learn their language , learn their rules, follow their traditions and be nice Idk why it's so difficult for them to understand such basic things Government needs to thoroughly scrutinise immigrants. We need to deport them. They are tooo many. We should take only the ones who study the program we needs graudates from. We took way tooo many. Yes they discriminate and hire. only their people. There are always two sides of the story. When British and French went from starting trade with indigeneous to brigning their families and settling towns on their land, they must have had the same feeling. Europeans just didn't stop their they openly slaughtered and put small children in residential schools where many lost lives and are still living with generational trauma. India was doing fine before british came in and lynched the economy to feed industrial revolution in west. I have seen Finnish, croatian, greek, polish, italian, german cultural centers and businesses serving their communities in Canada. Can we also say that they should assimilate in Canadian culture? What is even Canadian culture? It is the "The Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms", read that thing and the history if you are not familiar. I do acknowledge that there is massive influx of immigrants in a short span which govt. did to compensate for labor needs but they did not invest in infrastructure and orientation of immigrations. I have worked with Canadians in their 60s vs 20s, there was a huge difference in work ethic. My white manager relied on me and my another friend for closing or opening shift than some local preveliged kids. I am in support of deporting illegals but let's educate who are here legally. Collaborate with communities to voice out your concerns and look at the positive impact immigrants have made in past decades.

We need a few years to catch up with housing, health care, etc. Immigration needs to completely stop to give us time. Concentrate on deportations. If illegal parents have a child in Canada, all 3 should go back and revoke that child's Canadian citizenship be cause it was obtained illegally . No doubt about it, Canada is for Canadians. If you wanted to, you could deport millions of immigrants, but let's be real about the cost. The Canadian economy, its pensions, its farms, and its health sector all rely on immigrants to pay taxes and fill jobs. It's not some big conspiracy about population replacement; it's just about the economy. You can't have one without the other. Canadians aren't the only ones dealing with this. In Asia and Africa, it's a different kind of immigrant, the ones with money who buy up land and property, driving locals out of the market. They're not given an ear either, because money talks. It’s always been about the money and the power, and Canadians should understand that perspective too. The culture or religion of a few bad apples shouldn’t be used to tarnish every immigrant. We do need to do a better job screening people, but it’s not fair to paint everyone with the same brush. In the U.S., Indian immigrants are top earners and incredibly successful, but people still complain that they’re "taking their jobs." So, if an Indian person is a failure, they're a problem. If they're a success, they're still a problem. They can't win. This old colonial mindset is alive and well. It's tough for some people to process that a person of color can outsmart them and rise up by their own bootstrap. But when those same folks go to Asia or Africa, suddenly they feel that old nostalgia and are much more comfortable with the social hierarchy there. It would be ideal if no one had to leave their home country for a better life. When we have more justice in the world for everyone, maybe we won't have to keep having these conversations.
