When I was in elementary school and high school it was very diverse. Catholic school though.

Cultural clustering is a natural phenomenon. Even within India, if someone moves from the North to the South (or vice versa), they often seek out people from their own region/religion/community to feel a sense of familiarity and comfort. Brampton’s story reflects this same human instinct to find community and preserve traditions in a new place without disturbing the territorial harmony(but that didn't go well). At the same time, Indian culture and values are inherently inclusive, with a long history of adapting and coexisting with diverse communities. The real challenge lies not in immigrants forming close-knit groups, but in how well both newcomers and longtime residents accept and integrate with each other. When mutual respect and openness exist, diversity becomes a strength rather than a division. That said, the scale and pace of Brampton’s demographic change raise important policy questions. The Canadian government should have anticipated and planned for this transformation much earlier. Whether they did not act, or could not act, is a question only they can answer but it is central to understanding today’s challenges.

Sometimes I don’t understand why people create content online that highlights specific communities or cultures in ways that can reinforce stereotypes. Just because someone belongs to a certain background doesn’t mean they represent everything shown on social media. Content like this can make others form generalized opinions, which can feel unfair and frustrating for individuals who don’t relate to those portrayals. The internet gives everyone a platform, but with that comes responsibility. Before creating content about communities, it’s important to remember that cultures are diverse and complex, and no single video can define them. At the end of the day, being respectful and human should come first. Which ethnicity you belong to , I can find 1000 flaws in your ethnicity. Just be humans . I went to Canada on holiday about 4 years ago and i definitely noticed this but i would argue that it makes the place feel culturally diverse and there were alot of south east asians aswell especially in Toronto

Why does a country of 55 million (already significant immigration population) need diversity from a country of 1.4 billion?

Back in the 80’s and 90’s my cultural diversity was eating at a Chinese restaurant.

It’s happening here in California too. I’m all for diversity but when a demographic settles in an area and takes over it’s not fair to everyone else. Prime examples are Fremont and Pleasanton both my home towns. I moved away intentionally because everyone I knew growing up is gone.

It's happening here in the Maritimes too, but that's not a bad thing IMO. Cultural diversity is a strength. If anything we should be focused on the more important things like why it costs $2000 a month for a non-trap house apartment, and why are eggs four times the price they were 5 years ago.
