We didn’t keep up our infrastructure expansion at the same rate as our growth through immigration over the last few years. Jobs,hospital personal and bed space, schools, housing (affordable )etc are all overwhelmed and can’t cope with the higher numbers. Because of that our children and seniors are high risk for lower education and health care provision etc.

BC affordable housing used to be a wait of a few months at most, now it takes years, and yes they take people who just walked in to the country. Older Canadians and vulnerable people are not a priority. For that there are shelters, which are not homes, at all.

I agree that Canada has become a safe haven for criminal behaviour dependent on voluntary compliance. This is a systemic problem that is going to take years to correct. Grateful more is being done and I hope laws continues in that direction.

Pls come to Alberta. They working in fast foods and they using the bank account to receive the paycheck deposited to their friends or family which is permanent residence or Canadian. They change location almost every year.

I had close family that's been in Brampton since I was a little boy. I visited every year so I for to see what it was like. I think sometime in the 90s I started to see more and more Indians. Either way, we are all God's children. I know this won't sit well with my fellow Canadians, but I welcome anyone who wants to build a life in Canada and adopt our values.

Canada is still taking in 400k immigrants this year, that is no small number. Just building homes for 400k people in the major cities is a challenge.

I am sympathic to refuge claims but there is a limit on how many refuges can be absorbed into any country in a year …..

Im from the Netherlands ive been trying 2 years to move to Canada and its been difficult for me and now i see this im like i think Brampton might be my best try to get into Canada😂

3 million Visas are about to expire. These people will just leave? They will apply for refugee status or asylum claims, which takes another 4 years to get a hearing? The taxpayers pay for housing and benefits?

Dusabled 60 year old here. My government is kind enough to give this 6th generation canadian 940 dollars per month to try to exist on. All my family fought in ww1 and ww2 as well as other peace keeping etc.

You forgot to mention they increased the payroll tax which makes the tax cut null and worse you will still pay more tax this year

Before u give Trudeau senior any credit , he was the one who started the change in Canada from a producer to a service country from bring in immigrants that produced in the 50’s and 60’s to bringing in low paying service jobs from the 70’s till now. This decline started 50 years ago
