Canada’s fertility rate collapsed to ~1.25 (historic low). Instead of supporting families, housing, and wages, government chose population replacement via mass immigration. That’s not demographic policy — that’s demographic outsourcing.

As an immigrant I thank canada for the help, I will work hard and pay taxes to repay the favor. I love this country and will do everything to pay back to the community.

Thanks for opening up dialogue and interviewing a pretty wide range. Immigration does make Canada beautiful when done in a sustainable way. I hope we can find a balance into the future, the last few years we lost that balance.

That’s the harsh reality. During Trudeau’s time, Canada saw a significant influx of newcomers, which put pressure on housing, the labour market, and healthcare. It’s normal for a country to tighten immigration for a few years; lower quotas naturally mean higher requirements. Coming on a study permit or a work permit doesn’t guarantee permanent residency. Once a temporary status expires, and if there’s no other legal pathway to stay, the person must leave Canada.

A lot has to do with the Canada's immigration policy and foreign policy. I came in 2010, this country has changed a lot.

Canada needs to step back and reassess the plan for immigration and refugees. Housing, jobs, healthcare, education, cost of living, and in general all resources are already strained. We need to prioritize the application for citizenship of trained and educated workers that are needed and will benefit our economy.

I arrived in Canada 25 years ago. Yes, I am an immigrant — but I embraced this country, learned its language, and built my life here. Canadians welcomed me with open arms, and I carry deep respect and gratitude for that generosity. But Canada today is not the Canada of 25, or even 15, years ago. Our nation has changed profoundly. And because I love this country, I believe we must not be afraid to speak up, to protect the values and culture that make Canada the home we cherish.

I think Canada has more than done its part forever, it's time for other countries to step up also. I trust the new immigrations rules are consistent with international human rights standards as well as what's best for Canada.

Maybe with a new, and NOT Liberal, government, family breadwinners can earn enough so that Canadians can affort to have the children that will make it not so necessary to import workers. It wouldn't be so bad if immigrants (not all - I know) didn't bring all their frustrations and anger from their home with them into our society. Currently immigration causes way too much friction and divisivness in Canada. They bring their problems with them They need to solve those issues in their home countries. We don't need those problems to be faught here in our peaceful country.

These immigrants were scheduled to leave anyway. They were well aware of it. So, it is not based on new immigration rules. The government tried to force too many people into the country, causing a spike in housing prices and many other problems. This then affected every Canadian. A lot are becoming even poorer. It is one of the reasons they had more tent cities and 2 million people going to food banks along with 2/3 of Canadians with only 500.00 a month after all monthly bills were paid. That's 2/3 of Canadians. The Convoy had released these figures over a year ago at CPAC. Of course Canadian must be included: the "new" Canada consists of mostly third world refugees and economic immigrants, and nobody is checking who is landing here anymore.

Losing millions in immigration will actually help Canada after over-inflating immigration. It will better control the housing crisis, food crisis, healthcare crisis. Pausing immigration so the numbers correct itself will fix a lot of the issues Canadians face.

CANADA does NOT HAVE a 'Housing Crisis". The housing crisis is in Vancouver & Toronto, because we let ALL the immigrants move there. But there are a thousand small towns across the country that need immigrants to stop from becoming ghost towns. The failure was in the Liberal Party deciding that getting the immigrant vote was how to win elections, so they let immigrants decide where to go, which didn't help the country. I should know.. I owned a 28-suite apt. block in Winnipeg (not even a small town!) and my property value dropped below the mortgage cost because more people were leaving Manitoba than entering at that time. I lost my block. Thanks, Liberal Party of Canada.

No jobs and no housing? Why not build more small, affordable homes while expanding your cities? Why not create more jobs? Don't you want to grow and focus less on the USA and Trump? Expelling immigrants who genuinely want to live in Canada shouldn't be your solution to these problems. After all, Canada came into existence thanks to immigrants, right? Reclaiming houses bought by foreigners who don't even reside in your country could be a better approach. Only citizens or permanent residents should have the right to buy or build real estate.

GDP growth from mass immigration is not the same as economic growth. Canada's economic growth was sacrificed for medium term expansion based on upward pressure on real estate.
