As Canadian citizens we want our money back , this was the liberal government’s irresponsibility that caused this , we should not have to pay for their irresponsibility. The Biden administration opened their borders to spite trumps wall and the Canadian liberal party followed the same policy.

It’s easy to find them they are working at Tim Hortons walmart gas stations driving trucks the liberals know where they are they just want to close their eyes because they see them as their future voters

The Liberal Laurentian Elite wants a cast system in Canada and would even prefer to be oligarchs. I think it is time to force Quebec out of Canada.

Corporations wanted cheap labour and the Liberal government gave it to them. This essentially is killing off the middle class, not to mention are own unique Canadian culture and putting heavy strain on the housing/renting markets and social services.

The immigration "system" is functioning EXACTLY the way the Liberals want it to. Start there. END Multiculturalism and Bilingual as official Canadian policies. Quebec is unilingual.

I keep hearing people over fifty voted Liberal. I'm 65 and myself and my many friends voted Conservative. I believe it was rigged. Razor thin margins in favour of the Liberals. Yeah o.k. They used Donald, to say most of us changed our minds and wanted to reward the Liberals for their stellar performance over the last ten years. We need change now!

As a Canadian I think immigration is a good thing, but the liberal government has completely broken that system. The people coming here do not assimilate into Canadian culture and they do not respect this country. This isn't the Canada I grew up in and it's not the Canada that I want to keep living in. I hope it will be fixed. I love Canada

Why isn't CBC and CTV covering the uprising in Europe over illegal immigration. Liberal propaganda machine doesn't want liberal voters seeing what We Europe has become. Coming to Canada soon enough.

Liberals don't see migrants as a problem because they fall back on the reality that Canada was built with the help of immigrants. But that was a long time ago. It was a different situation completely. There needed to be people brought in to build, plant and develop the country at that time. We are no longer in need of mass migration as we already have a developed country. I wonder how many of the liberals would change their positions if the policy was, if you want a new migrant to come into Canada you have to pay for them out of your own paycheques and if you don't want a new migrant you don't have to pay. Pretty sure, very few people would want to pay when it is put that way but we are ALL forced to pay to cover that tab.

Why do you say it's broken? It's just the way the liberals want it on purpose. The very same reason why the democrats in the states are doing, and defending it at all costs. Votes, and gerrymandering.

Canada's immigration system was and is exactly where the liberals want it, although with less media attention. Carney was Canada's shadow, "unpaid", PM from about 2019 onward and he WANTS the country flooded. He likely commissioned the Century Initiative report and he hired the author of it to work for HIM, not Canada. Ever notice that Carney does not ever wear a Canada flag pin on his lapel...he does not believe in countries or borders.

this is on the whole government. and their liberal way of doing things. when are you going to start talking about all the money going to ukrainie. and how carney is funneling money to them when brookfield is there with their nuclear plants they want to protect!!

It's political they want to show they are controlling immigration so it's reflected in the polls / elections it's all about that liberals don't want to lose power it's just about that

In the US in 2025, ICE has deported half a million who are not in the US legally, and an estimated additional 1.5 million have self-deported, in some cases with government financial incentives. So 50k deportations might represent a comparably active effort for Canada, and 18k might be creditable for a Liberal government. But the effort sounds rather bureaucratic, and focused only on rejected refugee applications. I would want to know how many of these "deportations" are entirely on paper -- "your application has been rejected, please let yourself out at your earliest convenience." They spent roughly $5k per deportee, and that would cover air fare if the deportations were done privately, but adjudication costs money, and governments find many ways to make everything much more expensive. Also, if refugee claims can be judged false or inadequate, where are the efforts to determine whether "students" are really students? By the same token, the world is a dangerous place. I figure all those living in any of the many violent inner-city neighborhoods in the US have reason to fear for their lives. Similar facts are true of many millions around the world, and most of them would be rejected by Canadian immigration because they'd be safe if they simply moved to places they can't afford.

CBC is the liberal channel. Have any liberals ever told you anything truthfully. CBC only lets you hear and see what the liberals want you to.

By voting for the Liberal Party, Canadians finally got what they wanted. They deserved it.

Before Trudeau's liberal government, Canada's permanent resident program was based on factors such as being fluent in English or French (in Quebec), passing standard exams in one's own country, being educated (Bachelor's or higher), work experience, family, age, and knowledge of Canada's general culture. If you had all the points, you would be selected. It took about three years, and while waiting, you could not apply for any visa to enter Canada. The security check was part of the process, and the Canadian government asked applicants to enter the country by bringing money (Like one year's salary). This system was a perfect plan, and many Western countries wanted to copy that (As I heard on many French and American radios before), but the liberals broke the system! And I still don't know why!
