As a brown person who migrated to Ireland, i can tell you i haven't met, spoken to or hung out with any of the people from my birth country in years. Why? Because, my Irish school mates, my Irish neighbours & Irish colleagues have never made me feel insecure about my color or origins. However in the last five years, some communities like the pakistanis, brazilians & nigerians started creating their ghettos despite the fact that the Irish did not discriminate. Now the Irish are feeling insecure & one can feel, hear & see the change in attitudes towards immigrants. I'm a white guy born in Mississauga just south of Brampton. I've been living in a tent for over two months.
