The white farming town way of life appealed to outsiders, so now they will make it like India. This is happening because they dont want to live in their home country, white western countries appear safer, cleaner, and more inviting, who wouldn't want to come and live off that sweet white culture that created a community and culture that others flock to... just so they can refuse to assimilate and make that once inviting place like the place they ran from.

As an indian living in canada im going to say this punjabis are not living in brampton because it feels like home most of them come to canada to flex and probably because the city is swamped with their people so they don’t have to communicate in english, i cant even count the number of times these people have talked to me punjabi while i tell them i don’t speak punjabi and they start getting offended ask me why i dont , like bro I’m from a different part of india , why don’t you speak my mother tongue or english to begin with , also the flexing culture they have is crazy , all i want to say is if you don’t know how to communicate in a language and still move to that country and complain you don’t have enough opportunities in your country you might be at fault not your country nor the new one that you moved into,most of them don’t even have papers , want a separate country for themselves, lack the skills and yet they are living like this, blame the government who let this happen not the rest of us.

North indians are mass migrating to our south states..they are taking over our businesses...all their family members run the businesses....so its economical for them...they dont learn our native language, they look down upon us for being physically less attractive..we are dark and short....there is an internal conflict happening right now....not sure where i want to spend rest of my life....

I am an Indian and I would say Canada belongs to white people, and we should respect their social values. Canadians dont let Canada to turn into Punjab India or into any other country. Canada has a great culture. Preserve your culture Preserve your identity Canadian authorities and Native Canadians must make sure that strict civic sense to be followed by every immigrant.Make English language mandatory for every immigrant. Also every brown skinned is not Indians. Many Pakistani and Bangladeshi also tag themselves as Indians. And Indians who want to turn Canada like their homeland they please come back to India if you miss so much your country why to be in foreign land.

I knew an indian guy from work who was convinced he was subject to racism bc he and 4 OTHER men from india went to a park at around 9pm and a lady yelled at them to shut up. ME: She prob just wanted silence my gawd. Loud speaker phones, no sense of respect for the park....like come on. Give the lady some peace. its so disrespectful... I dont recall growing up being so annoyed with noise pollution. Even speaker phones on trains WTH

Its really annoying, why dont indians and anyone from different countries not try and make their own countries better, yes its sad people are born in poorer and run down countries but they shouldn't be allowed to just up and leave in the millions to any country they want too

I dont know about anywhere else in canada but ive noticed that a growing number of men lurking around playgrouds trying to lure children are east indian males in their 20's-30s. These cultures in their own countries had arranged marriages where they married children and is something they are bringing to our country except we dont allow that here so we are taking in these preditors who clearly want a young child and shielding them because if we point this out were racist. And to be clear i know theres other races that are preditors canadians included . But its a scary number of them that are young imigrant males who marry children in their own country

Im not racist, I dont hate people because their skin color isnt white like mine, Im happy to have immigrants here if they are willing to integrate like the previous generations have. We arent having kids because unlike other countries, we want to put kids first, and its irresponsible to have children when our economy is unaffordable to have them. I dont have any of that so called "white privilege" i always hear about. I grew up where I couldnt shower for days at a time, went to bed and school hungry. I'm exhausted from being labeled a terrible person when I condemn racists and the past actions, but its never good enough because im white. We have culture, Canada has culture. You just dont hear us talk about it cuz we get labeled racist for talking about it. We need to stand shoulder to shoulder if we want change in this country. I dont get why here its acceptable to come illegally, leech our resources without contributing to society and disrespect us, yet if we were to do the same its disrespectful. Well it is disrspectful. I wouldnt move to a country without learning the language, at least enough to get by, learning their culture, their values, their way of life, and ASSIMILATE like everyone has done before. NO more being quiet, no more being afraid of standing up for myself. Make Canada Great Again!

these 'new canadians' refuse to assimilate and accept traditional canadian culture and values. anyone is free to practice their religion and practice and celebrate its cultural ancestry. canadians dont want anyone to forget or abandon its culture. my roots come from ukraine and poland. but im canadian. i work with many ukrainians that fled the war, they're labelled as 'displaced peoples (funny because theyre chritian and white), recieve no federal assistance some have even gone back to ukraine! meanwhile (conveniently 'non white' other religion) new canadians receive extensive federal assistance

Im tired of wanting to move out my apartment but i cant cuz foreigners are buying up property and jacking up rent prices. And yes i am a daughter of an immigrant. And i see student housing being built and the rent is cheap! My rent has gone up twice in 2 years. Nothing is available under 1300 unless you rent a room. Nobody can change my traditions because they are mine and dont affect anyone. Groceries are unreal. I dont have a car anymore. I dont have children or a partner. Social time or entertainment is this. Youtube and my 2 dogs one of which now needs a leg amputation as she has cancer in her paw. I have a gofundme but its slow. But i see other pet owners that have them and because they use their pet as their unpaid actor they have made the money needed in days. Im just offering paperwork,proof,photos,making beaded collars,to try and make more. Im trying to open my own business doing nails. But callbacks from offices are not happening. My mental health has suffered since I was 18. I am gen x. Being a minority doesnt mean i get whatever i want either.

As a Brampton raised kid, I lived there from 97' till about 2023, I'm caribbean and we have a large indian/muslim/hindu population too on our island. (Trinidad) and the issue with Brampton is: Indian people will gladly intergrade, but Canadian borns won't welcome it. Walk with me- I'll use food for an example. Every other grocery store is middle eastern/asian/african in Brampton and its becomes harder finding more western style food. I love international food, I cook it often but if you're used to burgers and pizza and only know how to make spaghetti it feels like a 'take over' These people want what they want and even though all these places are free for you to also enjoy they don't like it cause it's too 'foreign' to them. It doesn't mean there isnt still a No Frills or a Walmart or Metro, but because the african and halal store are closer and more frequent it seems like more of a convenience to others and not to you. When people say we're multi-cultural, they mean 'yeah he's brown or black but he keeps it to himself' They aren't going to go to that Sikh temple giving free food, and only go to the church at the beginning even though they're welcome to both. It's the same for Diwali and other things, white people dont care to be interested in those things, and just wonder why they get to have it at all. I do agree with that indian lady at the beginning though, with lax immigration you come in feeling like you don't need to do anything to assimilate. They're doing themselves a disservice by only helping themselves. I hate stereotypes being perpetuated onto people but like that Pakistani guy said too, you live in a bubble and you don't pay attention to that. You can go days without speaking english to someone. You can't immigrate somewhere and shut out everyone already there. I get you may not feel welcome by the white people like the ones in the beginning and so you dont mess with them, and its easy not to. But there needs to be openness with helping everyone benefit from multi-culturalism and not just some of us. There are issues with immigrants not wanting to go outside their bubble and for canadians not to want to either, It'll be hard to (with the current issues we're facing as a country) to actually blend together more.

So I reside in Ontario, I live in a city they call the armpit of Ontario. And everytime I come to this restaurant (I dont want to say what restaurant but if u ask id tell you) - I would see a lot of them coming in by groups and they wear clothes like they still live back to whatever country they are from and would sit on their chairs cross legged as other people eat their food. Every hour theres dozens of them coming and I came to think are these people even legally here. It is just crazy to me as a legal immigrant where me and my family waited for 8 years for the application process, spent hundreds of thousands of money meanwhile I see people that arent from here and not even try to assimilate to Canadian culture. It is just infuriating.

Hindus want to live peacefully. They dont want to impose there culture tradition. Even adopt. Respect there culture participate in there culture. Hindus dont have radical ideology 😊

The Indian people are nice dont get me wrong, but the issue is there are to many of them and alot of them dont want to lwarn our language after moving here and they start businesses but only hire other Indians because of the language barrier. They are also buying up all the houses and alot of them will only rent to their own making it very difficult for Canadians to find houses to rent. Even half the realtors are indian. We have no jobs left very few houses and its makkng Canadians go homeless
