"You can take a man out of the village, but you cannot get the village out of a man". Immigration, in particular of India, as alluded in this video, is not a/the problem per se. After all, more than 50% of Canada is immigrants, if you don't want to consider French and English colonizers immigrants, too. The real problem is when Indian immigrants, and truly any immigrants, DO NOT WANT TO ASSIMILATE and/or do not any effort in doing it.

As a French Canadian, I won’t say I am not racist. Not because I am. Because if you excuse yourself (like one does when saying they are not racist before giving a normal opinion), you already lost. That being said, who is with me to deport last 20 years of immigration? Only chance to get our country back.

As a Canadian, one that lives in GTA at that. Thank you for this video! We have two first languages (French & English)..yet speaking Punjabi is now an asset. Tim Hortons & McDonald’s used to be for our youth…now they can’t get jobs. The one thing we all loved growing up is the fact that our country was so diverse/multicultural. So many people actually born here either move further or have been leaving the country because theres damn near no more Canada. 1) Canadian politicians are running a Ponzi scheme - just keep bringing in more foreigners to pay for everybody else they already brought in 2) This immigration game was started after DeGaulle sparked Quebec separatism, and neither Ottawa nor Washington knew how to deal with this, other than to mass-import lots of foreigners in order to dilute the Anglo-French divide that was quickly turning toxic. Washington was not going to allow a new country to form on its northern frontier, potentially creating a new geopolitical fault line which could be exploited by the Soviet bloc. Therefore all the stops would be pulled out to rearrange the demographics of the suddenly fragile Canada. 3) This immigration game is just a human trafficking operation. Canada itself has been reduced to a human trafficking operation, originally to counter Quebec separatism, and then later the politicians just plain got addicted to importing new voters, rather than solving the problems of existing voters through good governance. 4) We're all up the creek without a paddle. Neither do I have any solutions to the current mess, nor do the people who made this video have any solutions. It's now like the weather - we can complain about it, but can't change it. Maybe Trump can solve it by breaking up Canada and turning pieces of it into new American states. We are all immigrants other than the indigenous and Inuit. My father’s family can be traced back to 1538. He is French Canadian and native. My mom was an Irish American from Cleveland Ohio. This country has changed so much. I am at a loss. We need to speak out our opinions. I have lived here all over Canada, all my life. Why can we open up the the immigration doors when we did not have the infrastructure. It was insane. It hurt the original Canadians. The migrants are treated special. There should not be kickbacks. The govt has created this racism by giving immigrants priviliges

I am shocked at the fact there are more dislikes than likes when the CBC provides facts and so many people say they are lies, and others agree! The negative sentiments about refugees and immigrants are getting louder and people are happy to call fellow human beings “them”. They insinuate this is a huge burden, when the fact is we benefit from migration. It seems people think Canada will be over run by people from a foreign land, take all the resources and eliminate people born here, but that’s only happened once, when the British and the French arrived 400 years ago.

There are always two sides of the story. When British and French went from starting trade with indigeneous to brigning their families and settling towns on their land, they must have had the same feeling. Europeans just didn't stop their they openly slaughtered and put small children in residential schools where many lost lives and are still living with generational trauma. India was doing fine before british came in and lynched the economy to feed industrial revolution in west. I have seen Finnish, croatian, greek, polish, italian, german cultural centers and businesses serving their communities in Canada. Can we also say that they should assimilate in Canadian culture? What is even Canadian culture? It is the "The Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms", read that thing and the history if you are not familiar. I do acknowledge that there is massive influx of immigrants in a short span which govt. did to compensate for labor needs but they did not invest in infrastructure and orientation of immigrations. I have worked with Canadians in their 60s vs 20s, there was a huge difference in work ethic. My white manager relied on me and my another friend for closing or opening shift than some local preveliged kids. I am in support of deporting illegals but let's educate who are here legally. Collaborate with communities to voice out your concerns and look at the positive impact immigrants have made in past decades.

Having lived in brampton as an immigrant i can personally say that it is no longer a Canadian city. No one speaks English or french, no one dresses western, no one knows the canadian national anthem and every one carries and indian or Pakistan flag....

I live in Brampton, i am all for diversity but where is the diversity if everyone is Indian. I am French originally and i am in a minority of one! Let's be clear, the massive Indian increase in the population is due to Trudeau's immigration policy, the indians did not jump over the border as some of the comments suggest, they mostly came here legally, and this was done without broad agreement of the Canadian population as a whole. Canadian population went from being 30 million inhabitants to 40 millions in just over a decade, a massive population increase in a short time due mostly to Indian immigration with huge impact on housing , cost of housing, infrastructure, jobs, taxes, etc... The liberals have a lot to answer for the disaster which Canada has become in the last 10 years and yes they got rid off Trudeau, but they are still in power, stiffling the potential economic growth of Canada which should be a rich country instead of being a country where many people live from pay cheques to pay cheques.

It's not really a racial thing, but assimilation. The same complaint goes towards Ukrainians and Russians who refuse to learn to communicate in English or French.

I don’t know any Canadians that think the immigration is good. Only non Canadians want more non Canadians. French outlets don’t know about that because France isn’t French anymore.

I grew up with integration that I LOVED, met people from all over the world. I've been working since I was 14 I've worked for people from all over the world , rented from different people since I was 18 and learned great things I can add to my construction or cooking repertoire that you could possibly couldn't learn in the West without diversity. BUT now we have a group of people coming here buying up businesses while only hiring people from their country buying up single homes putting up crammy 8 plexus, and only renting to people from their home country. If these were French people like my heritage is, I would be even more pissed because I could say something without being called a racist. These immigrants are coming here with one goal retribution against the English Empire for the past or some shit, I dont know, and they're taking it out on us Canadians. over 5 years I've collected proof so I feel very safe coming out now and talking about this because I have everything to back it up. Those single homes I was talking about half of them burned down and they use insurance fraud money add multiple loopholes to use government money along the way as well, that's damn taxpayer money building parts of these homes... I'm a concrete worker they do not let these walls set properly, they don't seal the windows and doors properly, everything's going to leak but because they only rent to people from their home country after 3 years they can take their name off the property and nobody and I mean nobody is going to report leaks because they have a tyrannical control over who they rent to.... I dont even need to name the group because its OBVIOUS, living in the same city most ky life I've seen a drastic change, and this isnt intregation like my family did as they we're the members of french part of the metis tribe long ago. 5 years in a row they have added an average of 70,000 people legally to the city I live in I live in of 1.4 million people that is absolutely absurd the train system is packed all the way until 1:00 a.m.... it's just simple economics you can't add that many people and have a sustainable City.... these idiots never played sim city or some shit Also there are millions that came pretending to get spots in our universities and didn't show up, and these are the same people that are buying up all the businesses and houses and only letting the people from their own country be involved that is not integration....... There's also a huge problem with people faking Refugee status from this very place and there's even a few videos circulating online on just how to do it people from this country bragging how their making double of the average income of a Canadian a year PLUS free food and board from this fake Refugee status, HOLY FUCK! Not only do these immigrants only want their own people involved in anything they are rude as hell when confronted about any of this even in a kind way.  There's a great deal of them that are at the top of the fenthinal distribution. mind you a lot of that's being shipped from other places but the distribution hails differently....roughly 70% of the major fenthinal arrests and seizures have those paticular heritage backgrounds to prove it. My family of 16 moved to Canada from Holland in 1952. My wife’s family moved from France in 16th century. Canada has always been a land of immigrants. Where we lived in East Vancouver were were surrounded by Italians. Richmond was nothing years ago and now is mostly Chinese and Asian. Foreigners are energetic and have cultural roots they are proud of why shouldn’t they. The First Nations people here were exploited in every way by the English and French followed by every other European country. So the video focuses on Indian immigrants slanted with negative biases. India is a very diverse and historically one of the most accepting of foreigners in the world exploited terribly by the British and their hero Churchill who let millions of Indians starve by robbing them. Does anyone interviewed in this video know any history. Please stop belly aching.

What is the national Canadian language? English. Can you speak Punjabi or Hindi? Can you even speak more than 15 words of it? Probably not. I can't, and i shouldn't need to. In Canada the language is always an always has been English or French. Yet all the signs i see you put up in your businesses are written in Hindi or Punjabi. I have never seen a Indian owned business with English signs. Do you expect me to just learn your language to accustom you to living in my country? I'm not doing that, and I'm sure nobody else will want to either. If you come here, you need to get yourself adjusted to how we live and learn our language. You're not in India anymore, You're in Canada. I'm not angry at Indians for doing this, I'm angry at Canadians for allowing this.

I just came back from Calgary Canada. They have a big African community and Indian community there. I don’t even know why they have French as their second language everywhere there anymore.

3:58 To foreigners watching, this might seem like an isolated scenario because he filmed one location but it is like this 90-95% of Tim Hortons in the big cities and even some places in the boonies. These are all family owned as well, they are usually cousins and siblings and uncles working these places which is why so many canadians complain about the service, because these people are literally unfireable, they sometimes dont even speak english (common) and french (very common for obvs reasons).

Discuting! There is family who were in Québec for 2-3 years and learn french, have a job and there children go to school and now are afraid to be deported! It is unfair because they were in a program who said that come to Canada and you will have citizenship if you adapt to our country. We change the rules in middle of the program!!! Those people left everything to come to our country! It's an honor for us that they choose to come here. We need people for specific jobs and send them back??? That is looking like Trump manner!!! There is a lot of good people who come here to have a good life and be good citizens. I met an young woman from Ukraine and I said to her: I love Ukraine! The old Dutch guy in the interview was right. When my father applied to bring us to Canada, we went through many tests and procedures, police checks from back home, and even from the FBI to prove we had never been to North America and the process lasted almost a year and a half. No money was given to our family, my dad was working our step mother was working; but now all these immigrants get in quick and free. I have a friend that works for a bank and he tells me people who can't even speak English or French show up and deposit government cheques for 30 or 40 thousand dollars. What about Canadians born and raised here, some need help, they don't get big cheques. There has to be a stop to all this influx of people coming from other countries who have it really easy once they're here, thanks to the government. I'm not anti-immigration, as I'm an immigrant myself, but this BS has to stop.

Seeing decedents of immigrants disapproving the arrival of other immigrants is hilarious. Somebody needs to remind these people that they're descendants of immigrants themselves- why else do they think the Canadians speak French, have European names and are Caucasian?

i have no hopes, i work every week, every day for years...and at end of each month i still do not have some reserve for myself...i am surviving, NOT living, i am working to make happy others, i am working to pay bills, rent, cards, studies, and yeah to buy some food to continue to work to make happy others. Economic of this country is going in the toilet...we can't live decent anymore and hope to make true the dream of having a house or a car. And also, if you come in Quebec to work, there is no excuse to not learn french, QC government offer FREE classes, you pay nothing, just apply and go there and learn french and integrate in society. But, if you are lazy...well..than fuk off.

I am First Nations and I have been concerned about how the face and language of Canada has changed. The first thing we noticed in our small town was that the taxi companies were taken over by East Indians. Now days you are hard pressed to get a taxi anywhere in Canada and get a driver who hails from India. I used to like Tim Horton's until I needed an interpreter to make my order, one doesn't speak English so, she had to get another worker to take my order. You go into any 7/11 or any gas station, or convenience store. All are staffed by people from India. But, it isn't just Indians. There are many other immigrants coming to Canada from China, Japan etc. None of these immigrants do not speak very good English. I have faced prejudice from these people who do not recognize my rights as an indigenous person. Going for an xray, blood test the field is mostly Asian. I have to get cataract surgery and I couldn't understand the Chinese receptionist and had to spell most of what I said to her. That means their business is mostly with Chinese-speaking people. As a First Nations person my status will always be a minority. With every immigrant that comes to Canada my status as an indigenous person diminishes. Taking transit shows me that english or french are ever spoken. Canadians are the new minority.

This is immegration and not colonization like European did - Brits, French, Portuguese, Spanish, Italians, Germans etc. Why complain guys, how much did your ancestors assimilate, paid taxes to colonies. Atleast, immigrants are trying to adopt language and culture. They are chosen by a process. Have some balance, before pointing fingers.
