Canadian here: 10 yrs ago it was rare to hear a Canadian say something derogatory about another ethnicity beyond the basic complaints about the French or Natives. Even that was fairly tame since a lot of Canadians have either French or Indigenous ancestry. I have never heard so much ethnic hostility over the past 5 yrs as people will just openly insult Indians. I have heard professionals say “Never trust an Indian”. I lived in downtown Brampton from 1997 to 2011 and I loved it and I worked my ass off at a steel plant in Mississauga. Don’t give me wrong. I worked with people up all faiths-and friends with every single one of them. Where are the Catholic churches? Where are the 50s diners? Where are the Canadian owned shops? Where the hell is Brampton Ontario? I don’t even recognize it!!! And it’s a place that I loved and lived. But where are the Canadians? I don’t care where people come from. My cousin was adopted from India and she was the sweetest person you would ever meet. What once was a smaller Canadian city has now been taken over and become India. And that’s wrong for ppl to do on every level- by ANYONE FROM ANY OTHER COUNTRY! You don’t take over a beautiful Canadian city and make it your own from where you came from - you respect what it was before you came.

I came to Canada 20 yrs ago as a skilled worker. Brought a lot of money , pass ielts with 8.5 bands even learn French . I was a software engineer . Got a job paid all taxes here . Learn and respect Canadian culture adopt it . Upgrade my education to masters in AI . Now I can’t get a job coz Indian support Indian . And Pakistani prefer Canadian over Pakistani . No job on merit and skill ? Found out many dumb ppl got job even they are not citizens ? How come ? Coz they have reference ? I’m a Canadian Jamaican and I don’t recognize the country. The people coming in lately are hostile to the place they seek support from. It’s ridiculous and bazaar. I’m seeing so many places for rent stipulating that they outright prefer or are seeking Indian. I’ve been working since 78 and now a senior but when I try to get help for housing I’m offered a night only shelter with mental and drug abusers to go try sleep in or the sidewalk or countless apologies. Don’t get injured, get any older or anything like that and unable to work in this country now as you’re much better off passing away.
