Just want to highlight something critically important : Canada had in their past gone through a 10 million increase from 20 to 30 million ppl in 30 years from 1970 to 2000. then in the next 25 years, going from 30 to 40 million ppl. so essentially it's not just population increase which only accelerated a bit, but it's the fact they didn't expand their economic market size to accomodate and reflect the needs that come with this increase.

Canadians need to understand that these regulations also apply to foreigners coming to Canada.

Good, there are too many from India and China here. Recently, I have seen some Chinese leaving from my own neighbour. This is a good thing, they come over here, don't speak English, don't work and use our resources that we have paid for all of our working lives. Our local college which used to pay for English lessons for Newcomers to Canada has now cancelled the program.

Nonetheless, I also support temporary residency for up to 6-9 months for those who have been evacuated due to war, natural disasters, or similar circumstances. Special exceptions can be granted for families with members working in critical fields that merit such considerations (high-end industry).
