Indian Foreign minister Jaishankar himself told that the Canadian govt is not vetting the ppl being given the visas. All 5hitty ppl with crimial background are being handed over visas as if it free-for-all thing. This has to change. There should be serious filtering done before giving visas. Hindu Nationalism has spread its roots & conducts marches in Canada within the Indian Hindu areas like they do here in India and people have started performing river aartis as well (communal prayers to worship rivers) — all kinds of pernicious identitarianism is festering there. A ton of Indian immigrants now see Canada merely as a source to better life & resources, but relate to, & are patriotic towards India or assert their rawer religious Sikh or Hindu identity due to lack of any assimilatory pressure & absence of a well defined Canadian identity. Funniest part is Indians, esp Hindus, who vote for hindu nationalists ushering majoritarian policies in India, cheer for persecution of minorities and justify caste system, suddenly co-opt liberalism & decietfully use its talking points to defend their position as a minority in places they migrate to (they do not believe in so, and don't apply the same standards to themselves). I believe if you can show these immigrant communities the truth they may consider voting conservative. My dad grew up in Brampton, it was a blue collar biker town. Hell's Angels ran it. Now it's Browntown aka Bramladesh I grew up in Milton just down Steeles Rd. The actions of few spoiled Indians affect the entire Decent Indian community and India. Canada is in need of labour force due to less population and India has more population but insuffient jobs to engage people.
