I worked at a bank. I seen the amount of money refugees and immigrants receive. A family that was brought to my town from another country due to "grape" of the daughters, was given enough money for them to have fur coats, shopping galore and the Dad was a scary perv who I was warned by his son was dangerous. Oh, we are pissed at the government but we are also mad at the immigrants who don't bother to assimilate, integrate. Canadians have been labelled racists; Indians have refused to adopt the Canadian way of life. They are dirty, rude, blame deflectors in the workplace. I have been replaced by Indians in the workplace due to claims of "racism" just for calling out issues created and perpetuated by Indian colleagues. How many scam calls are we all getting now, how many jobs are we losing to them now, how many incentives are companies exploiting by hiring them just to drive profits now? I have a university degree and cannot get a job after such terrible experiences with these people in the workplace so I am going back to school in order to enter a type of industry they have not 'yet' taken over. I don't hate the immigrants themselves, but the way our country handles immigration. I'll be the first to admit it's getting harder to keep those two things separate. What compounds that hate is since I've been looking at moving out of this country... it's disheartening that most countries (rightfully so) make you have to be able to both assimilate and afford to fend for yourself to get a immigrants visa. And I guess Canada isn't enough of a shithole to get refugee status... yet. Like many Canadians now, I'm living cheque to cheque to make ends meet. So not only do I hate it here, but am essentially trapped. Next time you want to get pissed off at an immigrant, save it for a Liberal. It's a good chance he/she will be one in the same anyways.
