As a Canadian born, brown resident of Brampton, it truly sucks to see the Canadian culture we all love be completed obliterated by large scale, unchecked immigration from India specifically. In the gym, grocery store and most other common spaces, people speak Punjabi, not English. Truly horrible what happened to what was once such an awesome country and the worst part of it is, nobody, no policy maker will ever face justice for the cultural destruction they have caused. Sometimes though, I think, maybe Canada and Canadians dug their own grave. They/we voted in Liberal leadership time and time and time again, even when we saw our country being destroyed, in front of our very eyes.

Yep we are screwed big time, here in Moncton New Brunswick we only used to have a small number of Immigrants usually a mix of francophone students and refugees properly vetted by immigration. Jobs were available for everyone, a small example is the taxi cab drivers who were usually a mix of older semi retired Canadians, Sudanese and Syrian refugees who communicated well and tried to adapt to their new home, Canada. COVID hit and we started seeing Punjabi’s coming in unprecedented numbers, they say as students, from Brampton Ontario?Overnight all Walmart, Taxi/Truck Driving jobs, Tim Hortons, McDonalds were Punjabi jobs who do we blame? I’ve had conversations with Indians who say there’s too many Indians. Prior to the past 10-11 years of liberal “leadership,” we only let in 40k people per year. Now on average over trudeaus time we on average let in 1 million people per year. It’s disgusting. While they may have lowered student Visas and temporary worker permits, VISITOR PERMITS are probably being given out in the millions …. ONCE these ‘visitors come’ - they are NEVER followed up to ensure they go home. It is these people applying for refugee status or asylum .. in the millions …. I know some folks, including my neighbour, who immigrated to Canada right after high School — they take services of immigration agents who have contacts with diploma mills there, get a student visa citing enrollment in a sham educational degree, join a minimum wage job and rig the whole process to attain PR & then citizenship — essentially giving low skilled, poorly assimilated labour the citizenship in Canada under guise of skilled or educated immigration. Even as an Indian, the whole situation is insane and astounding to say the least. Hindu Nationalism has spread its roots & conducts marches in Canada within the Indian Hindu areas like they do here in India and people have started performing river aartis as well (communal prayers to worship rivers) — all kinds of pernicious identitarianism is festering there. A ton of Indian immigrants now see Canada merely as a source to better life & resources, but relate to, & are patriotic towards India or assert their rawer religious Sikh or Hindu identity due to lack of any assimilatory pressure & absence of a well defined Canadian identity. Funniest part is Indians, esp Hindus, who vote for hindu nationalists ushering majoritarian policies in India, cheer for persecution of minorities and justify caste system, suddenly co-opt liberalism & decietfully use its talking points to defend their position as a minority in places they migrate to (they do not believe in so, and don't apply the same standards to themselves).
