They then either drop out after registering or first semester and or work illegally and send money back home. Governments focus too much on capping work and other visas paying little attention to the obvious backdoor routes student visas provide.

IRCC is now granting repeated extensions on tourist visas. Why are they allowing these extensions? What are these individuals expected to do in Canada for years? Many tourist visa holders have been in Canada for several years — not necessarily because they refuse to leave, but because IRCC keeps extending their status. Some of these individuals end up working illegally, taking jobs from Canadian youth and citizens, and adding pressure to the housing market. The increasing numbers of asylum claimants, international students, temporary work permit holders, tourist visa holders, and undocumented individuals are placing strain on Canada and its citizens. IRCC needs to strictly follow the law and enforce regulations. If not, Canada’s immigration system will continue to be exploited, and abusive individuals or even criminals could find it easier to enter the country.

Gotta be careful defending yourself in Canada Tyler. Canadians aren’t allowed to carry weapons of any kind for defence be it mace, knives, batons, brass knuckles and definitely not guns. It’s even illegally to wear stab proof or bullet proof vests without being law enforcement or security guards while working only. Immigration has skyrocketed the cost of living. Our young canadians cant find jobs because lots of illegal and temporary immigrants work laws have changed and allow them to work.

I remember the Boat people in the late 70's and 80s and how they were grateful and how they blended with us. This kind of immigration, illegal or not, is different and causing trouble.

I welcome diversity in Canada but people here illegally and breaking laws (usually against their own community) should be removed from Canada in an expedited fashion. Special courts and changes to the law may be necessary to expedite removals.

Seems illegals have more rights than our vets or ave citizen. If your middle class and loose your job the govt wants to cut you off, but can give free medical, housing, food, clothing, schooling, training. As a citizen you cant get that. Canada should be the last country to be experiencing a migrant crisis considering its next to impossible to illegally immigrate there and most people are aiming to get to the USA instead. They were very selective in taking in Syrian refugees in 2015 and they were the only country in the Americas to not be impacted by The Venezuelan crisis. The govt brought this on themselves lol

Some of the street cops don't take the initiative but some of them take the extra step to bring it up the chain when they find criminals living here illegally. I know from experience as my ex was abusive and a cop took the time to start the process and my ex got deported

As an Indian I am shocked too! Unchecked immigration? How is the mass immigration helping Canada? These illegal colleges created just for immigration, these are open secrets, why these are not tackled? Being in the tech industry I thought I could get PR relatively easily. But everyday I am seeing stories about people moving to western countries, beating the system, not paying taxes - how does that even work?

Just an FYI here, lived worked my entire adult life in Canada, 62 now and don't have a doctor, can't retire anytime soon, but my illegal immigrant neighbours get 80 thousand dollars per year and free EVERYTHING! I made 30 thousand working and paying for them...GAWD help us all that have put our entire lives into paying for other people and countries well being, maybe one day Canada will put me first and make sure I can afford to eat in this country

If you are here illegally or have expired paperwork, then you need to leave. The authorities need to find and deport those who are here illegally.
