When I was growing up, our Chinese and Indian immigrants were working in medicine and engineering. Now the immigrants are Filipinos and Mexicans in service jobs, slaughterhouses and greenhouses, and Punjabis working security.

The thing about India is they only focus on white collar work and this is enforced in their culture and education system. This country of ~1.45 BILLION people (India) vs a population of ~41.3 million people (Canada) looks at white collar work as the only respectable work, sometimes because of their caste system. That's why a lot of poor Indians bathe in contaminated waste water and you see garbage all over the streets. Yet India has some remarkable engineers and mathematicians out of the human species and their billionaires living ~100 meters from the poorest. Second, Indians worship bartering or negotiating for everything even with a set price. saw a group of Indians upset with the price of entry in apple orchard and start arguing with the cashier trying to negotiate the price (my most recent experience). My cousin passed away last week waiting for his visa. He was a young hardworking engineer waiting to get into this country. He was a fluent speaker in English who understood politics in Canada, community, and family. He had a full ride PHd thesis scholarship from universities like University of Alberta, Concordia, and Queens in blockchain technology. This is what happens when you only interview old, white boomers. I was just in Brampton for my cousins wedding (they’re Indian). The wedding had tons of young white, Indian, Asian, etc. people. Everyone was having a good time and having fun. Old people don’t change, young people adapt and live. For what it’s worth, Brampton was bustling, growing, and there was construction everywhere. It felt safer and definately was cleaner than any size city like that in the US. All the Indians I know there (my extended family) are engineers, lawyers, finance types, and doctors. One of my uncles got the Order of Canada - he lives in downtown Toronto though, very wealthy cardiologist now.

A refugee here. Through my job as an engineer, I'm probably giving back more than what half Canadian born do. Many Canadians just live off of interest in money they inhereted while we work to uplift the economy. Refugees would still rather go back to their countries as soon as the war is over. We're not here to steal your money or anything. I bet the guys with negative comments never had to know a refugee in person. Shame.

I would have had no problem with bringing in Indians who were actually of quality. Doctors, engineers, genuinely intelligent men and women, where are they? Why are we bringing in all these waves of "students"?

😂😂😂 I never thought you’d actually do a video on Brampton. The “Doctors and Engineers” offer nothing good to us. Everyone used to live there, used to be a good prominent neighbourhood. Thankfully I got out in 2002. Since the influx of Jeets, our insurance rates have sky rocketed, it’s impossible to get a decent job anywhere because they lie on their resume and scam the system, all while the government is giving them money. They also infect any place/city you want to go to. In 2017 it was a bad time to be in college/university, fast forward to now and how much more our government has imported, all of Ontario is doomed. Hope you went to Singh Hortons while you were here, it used to be good, now you’re lucky if you don’t get sick because of their hygienic standards. The only thing they’re good for is delivering us food when we don’t want to leave our house. The worst part is these people think they’re needed here and think they’re better than us Canadians because the government pushed them here. Useless people that infected and ruined everything we had, the jeet fatigue is real.

If immigration is judged by contribution, Indian immigrants are objectively a net positive, unlike other groups such as Somalians, Afghans etc. Indians, they work, pay taxes, and are overrepresented in high skill fields like engineering, medicine, and tech. Silicon Valley runs on Indian talent, founders, CEOs, and engineers. Remove Indian immigrants and the U.S. tech sector would take a massive hit. That’s not opinion, that’s reality.

I am shocked to hear this from a CBC reporter saying IMMIGRANTS get money from the government!! Where on earth did you get this ,outrageous information!! People who apply to come to Canada as legal immigrants , have to go through a strict points system.that can take years . Plus medical and security checks. They have to speak English or French , be educated and most of all have a skill ,trade or profession that Canada needs!as Canada does not have enough highly skilled workers. Like IT professionals, doctors ,engineers, nurses etc. They have to have a job offer .etc etc .They have to have the means to support themselves and their family . Canada has lost itself allowing all this mass immigration to happen. I can assure you that there are millions of expired visas and fraudulent visas that the government claims to be checking on...but canadians know that's a lie.
