This is a multifaceted problem for us. Firstly we keep emigrating people in, to deal with a declining population, instead of addressing the issues directly resulting in declining population, like the housing problem, cost of living, under paying jobs, and astronomical Post secondary prices to get basic diplomas I know for a fact that 90's babies will be the last generation to have more then one child. Another issue is the recruitment centers in India, funded by Canadian corporations looking for cheap labor, promising the world to struggling Indians only to back out of every promise they made, and put the burden on the government and Canadians. This plus a lack of population control in India, is set that to have Indians to be over 25% of the global population in the next 50 years.

Folk may think this reduction in immigration is far from any "slash" in numbers. " For every positive to reduced immigration numbers, Canadians are going to discover that there will be negatives. The negatives might very well justify using the word "slash". Time will tell.

You don’t need endless studies and quantifiable evidence to apply a bit of common sense I don’t need a study to tell me to close the window or put on a sweater if it’s cold in my house The point is there shouldn’t be one extra dollar that’s spent on anything that is outside of Canadian interests

You should've visited Cape Breton. Very similar conditions maybe worst. They put us in a housing crisis. Hard to find a place to live causing huge rent hikes.

I typically do not agree with a lot of what the conservatives say, and I usually do not like anything that Michelle Rempel Garner says (or the way she says it). STOP handing out permanent residency status for students. Mm and 5 year citizenship process, and grandparents and parent visas. Maybe put military service attachment and see how many will really stay. Make it mandatory that they can only apply for refugee status from home country. Not at the airport.

Thank you so much for putting this video together! I passed my citizenship test today with a score of 19 out of 20. The questions were surprisingly simple. I read the guide once and watched your video once, and that was all I needed. Truly appreciate the effort you put into making it clear and helpful. 🙌

I had to wait 14 months to get diagnosed with PPMS and I had to wait 8month for my MRI and that was with the neurologist putting urgent on the MRI he requested.

One other point not mentioned that will put strain on health care and all resources is Bill C- 3 allowing children born or adopted abroad to Canadian parents to acquire citizenship .

That’s the harsh reality. During Trudeau’s time, Canada saw a significant influx of newcomers, which put pressure on housing, the labour market, and healthcare. It’s normal for a country to tighten immigration for a few years; lower quotas naturally mean higher requirements. Coming on a study permit or a work permit doesn’t guarantee permanent residency. Once a temporary status expires, and if there’s no other legal pathway to stay, the person must leave Canada.

If you make over 80k and have other investment income you will be put through layers and layers of taxes making your financial position not much different than if you had made 60k
