Really did you check Tim Hortons, Walmart, and the other fast food joints? Are you even looking?

If you can't find a local person to work at your fast food restaurant, try increasing the wage, improving work conditions, providing benefits, having a retention bonus, etc Flying someone 10000 km to an urban center to work at Tim Hortons only makes economic sense if you plan to exploit them.

I love Punjabis. They are the most humble and kind people to be around. Chardi Kala high spirits all around. I feel very good around them and don't feel judged. Being myself feels ok around them. They like to to take care of others. They will commonly ask you if you are OK and need water, food, anything. Langar/ community kichen is inbedded in culture and makes sure everyone eats in the same humble setting. They think communally and make sure to ask all parties how they feel about a particular topic, especially before making a decision. They appreciate when you try to understand them. They love when you speak their language. These people are blessed and I love them. I really hope that people bridge the gap between each other and love thy neighbour. God Bless Chardi Kala rahin.

yea the food banks are open to everyone ey then why arent any of the homeless or needy going to the temples to get what they need ?

I think it is important to give some scrutiny and take a thorough look at things. Some give free food but it does not mean they are contributing net to our society. In the past many local Canadians volunteered extensively in our community. That has gone away in present day. Dont let someone giving a free lunch fool you into thinking they do nothing wrong

The government needs to do an audit on all the Indian fast food joints

The one thing I can’t understand is how an international student from India can work without a social insurance number in Canada.They don’t have social insurance numbers in India.So places like Tim Hortons,Circle K and almost every fast food restaurant lets them work there without having Canadian taxes taking off their checks.Plus what happen to that box on most applications where it says are you legally allowed to work in Canada.

Yet, Canada gave away billions of dollars to Ukraine and took in so many Ukrainian refugees, and beg Canadians to make donations to the Food Banks. What gives?

These financial INCENTIVES are PULL FACTORS that draw them here. No wonder they are pouring over the borders looking for handouts. Who pays for legal aid, translating fees, public schooling, job training, food stamps, house subsidizing and uninsured hospital stays? Tax payers who’ve been paying in for years. So yeah.. that’s why they’re concerned...
