It’s really disappointing to see some immigrants not making any effort to adapt to this beautiful country, but instead trying to recreate everything exactly as it was back home. I’m an immigrant healthcare professional myself, and I visit many nursing and retirement homes. It feels extremely disrespectful when immigrant workers speak only in their own languages even when others around them don’t understand. Just a few days ago, I was in a park and witnessed someone spitting red tobacco all over a tree trunk. This kind of behaviour is unacceptable in Canada. We came here for better opportunities and a better life, so it should be our responsibility to respect the culture and the public spaces here. I genuinely believe the government needs to be stricter about who they allow in. Canada doesn’t need people who refuse to integrate or who create a nuisance in public. Diversity is about sharing and respecting each other, not about ignoring Canadian values or lowering public standards. If someone is not willing to respect this country and its culture, then maybe Canada is not the place for them.

You know, I am an immigrant myself but I have always have had a beef how other immigrants act all entitled. Immigrating is like going to live in another people's house, you have to respect the rules of that house. I hate people trying to change the rules to their convenience. I know a lot of immigrants just living off the system, I work 2 jobs and the day I was laid off I refused to collect EI out of self respect, why because I knew I could find another job. But many is like they are looking forward to get laid off or fired to collect government benefits. The issue with Canada is that, when Europeans came here, they didn't integrate with native Indians, didn't accept their traditions/lanuages but brought their own European culture/traditions and languages and named it as a Canadian Culture. The reason why Europenas were able to take over the whole Canada and impose English and French language is that European culture was strong, then brown/black/asian people are moved to Canada and they are brought their own culture/languages, but the brown culture really stood up and sustained because their culture was strong like europeans and more of them are still coming. the history is repeating itself because of politicians in power. People on the both sides are not willing to listen the other side, for example, citizens think that international students are creating the a here, doing cash jobs but they don't see that this coutntry that charged them $9k/term tution fees can't even provide them a job forcing them to work illigally and commit crimes, and on the other side Internation students think that citizens hate us because they are brown but big NO citizens are frustrated because they have no jobs and immigrants are not integrating themselves among other communities. Higher unemployment = higher crime = more = higher division among people, ALL THIS IS HAPPENING BECAUSE THE GOVERNMENT IS ALLOWING.
