Big mistake, the only thing saved the Canadian economy after the tariffs, is the massive Trudeau’s immigration, immigrants are consumers as well. If Canada stops immigration then it will be no doubt an American state before the next 30 years end.

Canadian parents who were born outside of Canada can now pass on their citizenship to their children who were born abroad? That is weird af. How does this make sense?

As a Canadian I actually haven't met a single Canadian that is fine with this. The issue is that Canadians don't want to be like the U.S so they vote for the opposite. The problem is that the opposite of the U.S is means exactly this.

I'm Canadian born and raised. I've been driving since I was 18 years old that's 27 years of driving i got to say the driving is really bad. Some people shouldn't even have their license but yet they do. People don't even know how to share the road. You put your signal on to change lanes and some drivers actually speed up. That's how scary it is to drive.

However, there are significant ongoing efforts toward language revitalization.  The Canadian federal government passed the Indigenous Languages Act in 2019, which aims to support the efforts of Indigenous peoples to reclaim, revitalize, maintain, and strengthen their languages. Indigenous communities, educational institutions, and organizations are actively working to preserve languages through immersion programs, community initiatives, and documentation. As an immigrant to Canada (in 1982), my family and I integrated into Canadian culture. That is what immigrants used to do. Yes, you can keep aspects of your own culture, but the expectation was that you become Canadians first and foremost. I don't see that with many new immigrants today. They just milk Canada for all it is worth and try to make it a version of their country of origin. I love diversity and multiculturalism, but it has gone way too far IMO.

I don’t believe these numbers. The Liberals are failing in the polls and desperate for voters. Canadian media hides the serious immigration problems in European countries. Many European countries are NOW they are taking serious steps to decrease and even stop immigration. Denmark a good example.

Canada must repeat what it did in the 1930's and the 1940's. Canada needs to bring 5 million immigrants from Eastern Europe, like Poland, Portugal, Romania, Ukraine, Russia, Serbia, Bosnia, Lithuania, Estonia, Hungary, Macedonia etc. Just look at the Eastern Europeans in Canada, they and their Canadian born children and grandchildren have learned and speak English language fluently. In Canada, people speak English and French. The British and the French values must be upheld. God save the King.

Do you blame them, i sure don't, hell, even here in Canada and we don't even feel like we are surrounded by Canadians anymore, now feel more like a foreign country. so of course Americans see and feel that also and are acting on it.

Canada is in deep trouble, there is no more housing for Canadians, not enough schools and hospitals are overflowing because Trudeau invited the whole world to come and take advantage of Canada's generosity.

So what can be done? Unless they are Canadian citizens can they not be sent back?

The questioner is just proving her own questions? What is non-compliance as a student? Not going to the college? How many colleges shut down their courses within the said period? Do you expect students to be firever students? What if they get work permit while still being student? This is very possible for the IT engineers from India, they are student here but get a job in USA or any other country and they leave. Where are the statistics of students who got married to Canadian nationals and decided to stop studying because of family expenses? It will be easy to track down the fees transfer and return of these said 8% non-compliant students. Did they get their money back? If not, then why didn't colleges paid the remaining fees back and report that non-obligatory to the study visa rules? Or, was the past govt quite about this because Canada needed cheap labor and money in other colleges accounts?

Makes sense ... how could any reasonable Canadian disagree with this
