Peope dont realise this but there is no stopping immigration in Canada. The stock market anticipates huge immigration as it is the only feasible path towards growing corporate profits. If we dont have huge immmigration, the purchasing power of boomers, derived from a booming market and real estate market, will lead to massive inflation as labor shortages occur. There is nothing we can do to stop this. Boomers are going to vote Liberal and liberals will continue to flood the country with third world immigrants who cook, clean, drive, caretake, etc. Millenials and gen Z are the ones who will never own a home or start a family. And ironically the low birth rate will lead to even more immigration. I suspect that Canada will be primarily asian and african by 2060.

Indian spirituality penetrated western thinking in the 1960s and that was followed by cuisine from India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Nepal etc. So generally people in the US, Canada, UK, Australia, etc have welcomed people from the Indian sub-continent. Obviously immigration whether from India or another country needs to be moderated in order to give the immigrants time to adapt to the Canadian way of life

The points system is why Canadians have a good impression of immigrants. When you let in english or french speaking well or over-educated new citizens, people will have a good impression of these hardworking people. When you let in gobs of just anyone.. you end up with Brampton, Ontario, or Sweden, where foreign nationals have brought their own opinion of how life should be to a previously high trust/well functioning area. Like the opposite of gentrification. Basically slumification, a reduction in trust, an increase in crime, an increase in corruption.. Who would have thought there would one day be new Canadian citizens calling for Sharia Law in Canada? That is when immigration "jumped the shark", and the system needs fixing. And Canada already has the fix: Limit immigration to economically well off migrants who meet the points quota: ie, they are educated and speak english or french. And greatly restrict refugees... we have enough homeless and economically useless people, we do not need more.

One would think, the priorities of a government would be to deal with security and crime, food prices, and cease immigration until we can accommodate them ,in somewhere to live.

IRRELEVANT. IT IS TIME TO TAKE CARE OF CANADIANS. TRAIN CANADIANS. EDUCATE CANADIANS. ALLOW CANADIANS To BUY HOMES. TIME TO REDUCE IMMIGRATION BY 99% OF ALL COLOURS AND CREEDS UNTIL WE TAKE CARE OF THE PEOPLE HERE AND SOLVE OUR OWN ISSUES. YOU WANT TO HELP THE WORLD? DO LIKE CHINA AND GIVE THEM LOW INTEREST LOANS TO IMPROVE THEIR OWN COUNTRY.

Aren’t people tired of the ( emotional based argument ) let’s present the cases of foreigners impacted by immigration law . That’s what immigration law is supposed to do it’s supposed to impact foreigners. Then there is the let’s get people to work cheaper than Canadians do and then wonder why Canadians aren’t taking those jobs . Can Canadians just be concerned about Canadians sometimes ? A. Leftist government would not implement these laws if they were not extremely popular . Let democracy thrive without demonizing people who just want to lead their country in a different direction .

Can thank Trudeau for the immigration mess we are in. Between 2015 to 2024, Canada took in just over 3 million immigrants. This does not include temporary foreign workers and international students both of which saw a significant increase especially after mid-2022. About over one quarter of the new immigrants are from India and Pakistan. This likely explains how Brampton became the fastest growing city in Canada (ninth most populous municipality in Canada) and the third largest city in Ontario surpassing Mississauga at the start of 2025 behind Toronto and Ottawa. Trudeau preached immigration diversity but this is not diversity when over a quarter came from 2 countries.

Why do countries accept immigrants? To ensure their countries' population pyramid is stable. Even with all the recent immigration, Canada's pyramid is barely stable.

May I say as a Metis. My family were and are the first people to be described as Canadian and are still acknowledged as the original Canadians. My great Uncles and Aunts fought the British North West Mounted Police at Batoche because the British Colonizers after outlawing fur trade except through the HBC company were further insulted by having their ancestral land sectioned off and given to immigrants. My uncles also were part of the first battle at Seven Oaks when surveyors were surveying and measuring my ancestral cousins land. The British Immigrants were described as the preferred immigrants. TheNorth American Indians, the Metis were described as undesirables and in a memo written to the Indian Affairs Minister during John A MacDonald asking him how best to remove the undesirables Metis from their land. The Metis were not placed on reservations because we never stopped fighting for our homeland rights. What is happening now is a continuation of what happened back when John A MacDonald was Prime Minister. May I also say if these migrates think their customs and regions are so great then stay in your homeland. But unlike the brave Metis who continues to oppose the government and finally 100 years later some our birthrights as the original Canadians have been recognized. My great grandfather and his father were both named Antoine and Charles Henault dit Canada, and to this day from the 1700s some of my cousin’s last name has been Canada since the 1700s. People with Canadian passports don’t make them Canadian. Indians from Indian don’t integrate or intermarry. They impose their culture on the rest of the country. Get rid of them all.

Why isn't CBC and CTV covering the uprising in Europe over illegal immigration. Liberal propaganda machine doesn't want liberal voters seeing what We Europe has become. Coming to Canada soon enough.

Walmart is also becoming Punjabi mart. I don’t know why Canada is bringing this people in huge numbers?? Immigration numbers should be diversified otherwise they will dominate the whole system. Which is not good for future Canada.

Canada needs to revamp immigration. Assimilation should be required. If I went to another country, I’d be required to do so. Canada doesn’t have its own culture anymore. Multiculturalism isn’t a culture.

Former immigrants have been furious of new comers , this issue has now wildly happened all over Eu , Australia , Usa and Cananda .

Housing and health care for Canadians are out of control, something needs to be done and if this is what it takes then so be it, one of the main reasons is too many immigrants allowed in to the country. Canadian youth born here simply can not find entry level work, I am not anti immigration, I am for limited immigration with better vetting.

I fully agree with Poland man. They look other immigrant who came many years ago whom their forefathers work so hard and make saving yet they want easy and fast money.

Just an FYI here, lived worked my entire adult life in Canada, 62 now and don't have a doctor, can't retire anytime soon, but my illegal immigrant neighbours get 80 thousand dollars per year and free EVERYTHING! I made 30 thousand working and paying for them...GAWD help us all that have put our entire lives into paying for other people and countries well being, maybe one day Canada will put me first and make sure I can afford to eat in this country

I remember back in the 70s people started calling that place Bramladesh , this isn't new , Misissauga, Markham , Vaughn , Pickering , all experienced rapid growth due to immigration from India , South Asia , China , Hong Kong ect. The old towns disapeared , the original and long time residents feel overwhelmed and unwelcome .

Immigration must be controlled. You don't want Immigration to overwhelm the native population otherwise the culture will change. Canada wake up!!!
