Pains me when I see fake refugee claimants getting free dental while I pay through the nose. And many such injustices. This is a horrible situation on both ends and the fact that its all 100% administration failure is sad. Its not fair to anyone not even the immigrants. They keep bringing in more people then the economy can afford to live here I frankly find it ridiculous. I want to know whats driving these policies to continue. My parents came to canada 25 years ago, they payed thousands of dollars to get status here. Now people are getting in as cheap labour that can't even afford to live here so they dogpile 10-15 people in the same 2-3 bedroom apartments or houses and the infrastructure is still being built on the logic of single families when in the reality thr opposite is happening we have sudden crowding because rent is unaffordable due to the massive influx of people, including canadian born nationals that are forced to live in these environments if they don't have support- Its crazy why not close your borders stabilize rebuild infrastructure then slowly work on immigration policies again when the housing market and job market are stable again. Theres absolutely no reason to cite labour shortages when theres an unemployment rate and homeless people everywhere- close the borders- get homes built, throw heavy incentives to join and get educated on any productive field that has a shortage upto and including providing shelter to canadian citizens that decide to pursue these fields and are homeless. Have a fast track rotating incentive down to the year along with guaranteed on job training for all occupations. Such a simple solution so stupid we can't execute it. Too busy squabbling liberal conservative baseline rhetoric that we made ourselves blind to the human cost in our own borders.

Canada doesn't have a culture to assimilate to anymore though. It was known for its casual hockey and Canadian accent but both are nearly extinct. It's The Library of Babel up in here. While they may have lowered student Visas and temporary worker permits, VISITOR PERMITS are probably being given out in the millions …. ONCE these ‘visitors come’ - they are NEVER followed up to ensure they go home. It is these people applying for refugee status or asylum .. in the millions …. Liberals want this uncontrolled immigration - with no checks and balances .. because these are the millions of new votes they are getting. The thing about India is they only focus on white collar work and this is enforced in their culture and education system. This country of ~1.45 BILLION people (India) vs a population of ~41.3 million people (Canada) looks at white collar work as the only respectable work, sometimes because of their caste system. That's why a lot of poor Indians bathe in contaminated waste water and you see garbage all over the streets. Yet India has some remarkable engineers and mathematicians out of the human species and their billionaires living ~100 meters from the poorest. Second, Indians worship bartering or negotiating for everything even with a set price. saw a group of Indians upset with the price of entry in apple orchard and start arguing with the cashier trying to negotiate the price (my most recent experience). It's just a very different culture that only wants their own from education to even marriage. It's not gonna work with Western values

I know some folks, including my neighbour, who immigrated to Canada right after high School — they take services of immigration agents who have contacts with diploma mills there, get a student visa citing enrollment in a sham educational degree, join a minimum wage job and rig the whole process to attain PR & then citizenship — essentially giving low skilled, poorly assimilated labour the citizenship in Canada under guise of skilled or educated immigration. Even as an Indian, the whole situation is insane and astounding to say the least. Hindu Nationalism has spread its roots & conducts marches in Canada within the Indian Hindu areas like they do here in India and people have started performing river aartis as well (communal prayers to worship rivers) — all kinds of pernicious identitarianism is festering there. A ton of Indian immigrants now see Canada merely as a source to better life & resources, but relate to, & are patriotic towards India or assert their rawer religious Sikh or Hindu identity due to lack of any assimilatory pressure & absence of a well defined Canadian identity. Funniest part is Indians, esp Hindus, who vote for hindu nationalists ushering majoritarian policies in India, cheer for persecution of minorities and justify caste system, suddenly co-opt liberalism & decietfully use its talking points to defend their position as a minority in places they migrate to (they do not believe in so, and don't apply the same standards to themselves). If you wish to blame someone, blame the govt of Canada and its elites. At the end of the day, they wanted cheap manual labour, and opened the gates without much consideration.

I also did a very deep dive into the voters in Canada. At least 4.5 million out of the 8.5 million voted the Carney liberals got in April 2025 were immigrant votes. That’s why Carney and liberals pander to the gigantic Muslim population in Canada. Muslims, Chinese, Indians from India, Ukrainians, Filipinos they all pretty much vote liberal. Over half of the liberal voter base is foreign now. I started in 2019 telling the federal conservatives look the liberals are importing new liberal voters. The party needs a strategy to win over the immigrant vote. I proposed hiring a team of individuals from the Muslim community, Chinese community etc to brainstorm on how to get their message across that if your an immigrant your best to vote conservative because the liberals don’t care about them they just want their vote. Show them how they may never own a home, how their kids will be worse off than them. That buy bringing in about 2 million more immigrants a year it is causing inflation and the affordability crisis. I believe if you can show these immigrant communities the truth they may consider voting conservative.
