Im sick of these people coming into OUR country and straight up ignoring our laws!!!! Sixty years ago Brampton was a farming town of 18,000 people? What a complete and utter load of shit. Sixty years ago is 1965. My family moved here in '79, and at that time it hadn't been a farming town for decades. The point he missed was the quality of life is higher in Canada, In India it's way easier, the cost of living is way cheaper, there's tons of cheap labour to hire maids for all your house work for example which is common in their culture, but as you've probably seen online, India isn't the cleanest or friendliest place to be, and if he was a nurse in India he would probably be broke without a good job, and having the opportunity to find good high paying jobs in something that Canadians also do when they travel to the US if a position in their field isn't available in whatever local city they grew up in. The main issue stems from international students from like after covid, regardless of country, India is in the spotlight because there's just more indians compared to other countries international students but its all the same stuff, you have kids from all over the world that might not have learned the same cultural practices, fresh 16-18 year olds living alone for the first time that have to do all their own chores and don't even know how to take care of themselves in some cases or do laundry or anything like that and it doesn't mean they were illegal immigrants or anything, just that they never put in the effort to learn because they were too entitled, its the same with entitled kids that go to Korea or Japan from north America as well that don't learn their culture and customs and misbehave because they are too entitled, and once you understand that you can see the bigger picture more clearly instead of just defaulting to racism. This is what happens when you only interview old, white boomers. I was just in Brampton for my cousins wedding (they’re Indian). The wedding had tons of young white, Indian, Asian, etc. people. Everyone was having a good time and having fun. Old people don’t change, young people adapt and live. For what it’s worth, Brampton was bustling, growing, and there was construction everywhere. It felt safer and definately was cleaner than any size city like that in the US. All the Indians I know there (my extended family) are engineers, lawyers, finance types, and doctors. One of my uncles got the Order of Canada - he lives in downtown Toronto though, very wealthy cardiologist now.

I lived in Brampton when its populations was 16,000 and it had a wooden bridge that crossed the Etobicoke Creek that ran across Hwy10 south at Meadowland park. It was washed away in 1965 flood. Small town, very 'orange', ie. Scottish protestant. Zero ethnics. Heck, they even hated the Catholics and wouldn't let them build the first Catholic church without a battle. It had one cinema downtown that charged .25cents for kids and .50cents for an adult ticket. It had a public pool that all the kids peed in during the summer and a red brick library which we went to religiously, every Friday to change our books. That town has completely disappeared. I used to drive to Brampton once a month for a meeting but decided driving into Brampton was such a risky behaviour especially on Bovaird, that I stopped going. Brampton has lost it character and exploded into a monstrous tract of cookie cutter box houses and strip malls. No one knows anyone else and there are no real neighbourhoods. If this is progress, give me the good old days when we could ride our bikes up and along Kennedy Road to Heart Lake conservation and go wading in the creek looking for tadpoles all day.

You know what too...If Canadians was too go to India I wouldn't be able to bring my Canadian/Caribbean Culture there..I look at it like this his your moving to another Country I'm gonna adapt to The Culture and Lifestyle..Im not gonna bring my Old Ways that I wanted to leave to a New Country and Life...I feel like its not Canadians being Racist it's that they came here and The Government and Businesses are Catering to them From Adding Specific Food Items to cater to them most Jobs are by passing others to hire them...And on top of that Canadians are dealing with Food Cost being High still and Working a Job and still not making else to live a decent Life...Seems like most people are Working to Survive and Pay Bill and don't even have enough to atlest go out and have a peace of mind and have a Social Life...There brought in all these Immigrants to The Country while The Country was basically under a Recession...And this Problem is not getting Fixed now and it seems like it's getting worst..To the point I feel like a Civil War could even break out I this don't get Fixed somehow and someway... My grandparents immigrated here from Jamaica and certain groups have made the word immigration annoying and obnoxious now. It’s not even immigration at this point it’s just a full take over and a blatant disrespect for our country. Don’t follow the rules, aren’t compliant , protesting that Canadians don’t respect them and that they should stay there even if the visa is up, demanding money, buying all businesses and blatantly not hiring Canadians because they aren’t of a certain race. It’s extremely disrespectful and we need to start sticking up for the people of this country and have tighter rules and regulations to get in. Disappointed in our country…we’ve failed. What happened to the old school immigrants that would come in work hard build wealth and have pride in moving to Canada. It’s really the younger generation of immigrants that are entitled and stupid. And this is coming from a young person. Some of the immigrants (if you know you know) aren’t even that good at their job, they careless do it half ass and expect tips and that certain details will go unnoticed because they didn’t earn the job they just showed up and were handed the job.
