We must: 1) Implement per-country cap. 2) Pause immigration from India and China for at least 10 years until we balance our population. 3) To ban all immigration from muslim countries. 4) Significantly reducing the number of TFWs and int. students. 5) Establishing a deportation force within the CBSA. We have a community about 15 miles west of St. Louis called "Barathaven" that is almost 100% Indian. 7-10k people. Mastercard has a big office here where they work. For the most part, the higher level execs are courteous and accommodating. The lower-level call center employees are absolute trash. Nobody that isn't Indian drives through it because it's an almost guarantee that their car will get damaged.

As Lorrie said - just like my Political Science professor pointed out almost 50 years ago - immigrants largely vote for whoever was in power when they arrived in the country. A very large percentage of the people that they bring into the country under a Liberal government are likely to vote Liberal. That's a (practically) guaranteed stream of new Liberal voters to replace the old Liberal voters who have become disillusioned by the Liberal Party's actions. It has to stop. We need to vet EVERYONE who comes in and we shouldn't be giving them gold-plated health care until we've granted them refugee status or permanent residency and they should be told that up front so no one is shocked or feels cheated. If they know that and still come, they'll know what they're facing. If they choose not to come, they've made an informed decision.

This is a horrible situation on both ends and the fact that its all 100% administration failure is sad. Its not fair to anyone not even the immigrants. My parents came to canada 25 years ago, they payed thousands of dollars to get status here. Now people are getting in as cheap labour that can't even afford to live here so they dogpile 10-15 people in the same 2-3 bedroom apartments or houses and the infrastructure is still being built on the logic of single families when in the reality thr opposite is happening we have sudden crowding because rent is unaffordable due to the massive influx of people, including canadian born nationals that are forced to live in these environments if they don't have support- Its crazy why not close your borders stabilize rebuild infrastructure then slowly work on immigration policies again when the housing market and job market are stable again. Theres absolutely no reason to cite labour shortages when theres an unemployment rate and homeless people everywhere- close the borders- get homes built, throw heavy incentives to join and get educated on any productive field that has a shortage upto and including providing shelter to canadian citizens that decide to pursue these fields and are homeless. Have a fast track rotating incentive down to the year along with guaranteed on job training for all occupations. Such a simple solution so stupid we can't execute it. Canada is a collapsing country. I really hope that more would-be foreign workers consider that Canada operates more like a scam with their TFW program than anything else. It is not a guaranteed gateway into citizenship at all. Homes are too expensive, prices of everything in Canada keeps rising & rising, not enough jobs, declining birth rates, the usual issues facing most countries that do not produce any substantial products.

Canada is basically an oligopoly. The politicians are intertwined with a wealthy ruling class that is extremely politically protected. The influx of immigrants was by design to repress wages and ensure that wealthy oligarchs could continue to pay minimum wage for labor. The politicians get board positions in exchange for these favours. There is a clear lie in that video. Nobody is in Limbo. Mind you there is normal Federal Express entry program still happening. So provincial nominations are suitable for people that might be otherwise struggling with points (older age, less language perfection, les bonus points from education or work experience). For a disclaimer, provincial programs are based on a specific province needs and just because one was opened when you planned to go and study or work in Canada, it does not mean it will be like that forever. If an agent made you such promise, then he was misleading you. Again for those people demonstrating, nothing has changed for them other than one future option was gone. Im a Canadian and honestly I've NEVER had a problem finding a job, I don't even have my highschool... I think it has to do with *which* jobs they are applying for. I get that theres an "immigration" problem, the refusal to adapt and assimilate feels like a slap in the face especially when the same few will talk I'll of the same system they benefit from. HOWEVER I don't think it's good to lump all of these problems together and dump collective blame on immigrants. For 1, all this immigration and policies have happened under a liberal government and y'all voted then in, AGAIN. - clearly you're not THAT desperate for change. 2nd. Are the ones saying they can't find work willing to work in trades? General laborers making $25-$30+++ No experience required. Tradespeople are glad to teach people willing to work hard and learn.. What about warehouse work? Apply to your 5 closest warehouses, I guarantee youll get in 1.. ALSO the government IS willing to help Canadians get little certifications like forklift, smartserve, CPR.. Career colleges can help with training (e.g - computer) as well as soft skills. I am an immigrant in Canada and these students assume their permanent residency is guaranteed after their studies but nobody was given 100% "assurance" but these students "assumed." The country does not need any more uber/skip the dishes drivers or salespersons. There is no need any more Temporary Foreign Workers until the economy improves.
