I have heard the skilled laborer argument for years. Canadian governments keep saying we need to bolster the work force with immigrants. I've heard this for 20+ years, and they're still saying it. It hasn't worked because bringing in immigrants only treats the symptoms not the cause.
Critiques the government's long-standing skilled labor immigration argument as ineffective, arguing it treats symptoms rather than root causes.

People would be fired in any entry-level job. Why not the government? They are incapable of doing their job.

The cuts to temporary foreign workers, refugees, and other immigrants do not go near far enough. Maximum number allowed, in total, should be no more than 60,000, laser focused on STEM and medical grads.

No jobs and no housing? Why not build more small, affordable homes while expanding your cities? Why not create more jobs? Don't you want to grow and focus less on the USA and Trump? Expelling immigrants who genuinely want to live in Canada shouldn't be your solution to these problems. After all, Canada came into existence thanks to immigrants, right? Reclaiming houses bought by foreigners who don't even reside in your country could be a better approach. Only citizens or permanent residents should have the right to buy or build real estate.
Critiques government policy on immigration and housing while arguing for alternative solutions grounded in fairness and national development.

“These were far and away the issues most strongly identified by Albertans during last year’s [highly engineered and manipulated] Alberta Next panel town halls and online submissions….[because the UCP knew that stoking these issues would play well with the misinformed far right part of our base and we need them on board if we want to win any more elections and continue our campaign to dismantle all of Alberta’s cherished institutions and impose rule by authoritarian Christian nationalists and oil corporations.]” There, I put in the parts that she is thinking but was too dishonest to say out loud.
