Tit for tat. If you want to get rid of tariffs let's get rid of tariffs on your side and that's all of your tariffs that you have implemented on our products for years. More inflation isn't going to affect most of us. We've already had so much that we can't afford anything anyway. If a house already costs a million dollars who cares if it goes up to 100 million. Discusses inflation, housing costs, and wage stagnation as barriers to livelihood, grounded in personal economic experience.

As an American, did that weasel Trudeau just threaten us?! Um, he better backstep while he still has time. Canada has NO product that we Americans cannot replace with an American made one in a matter of months. Fertilizer is an easy one, Our farmers just need to go back to using natural animal/yuman waste which is ecactly what used to be done. It even saves farmers billions $ because they create a use for waste they now pay to have to process for removal. Lumber and products are also an easy fix. We Americans have millions of acres of timber that actually NEEDS regular harvest to reduce the forest fires that plague us yearly. The list goes on, and not a single item cannot be MADE IN AMERICA that we currently get from Canada.
Commenter argues that American economic self-sufficiency makes Canadian trade unnecessary, emphasizing economic capacity and cost savings while comparing US and Canadian production capabilities.

Canada will lose business permanently. The longer this goes the more they lose. Hurts them twenty times more than it hurts the US. We won't even notice.

The ignorance of some narrow-minded pro-Trump individuals commenting here prevents them from seeing the economic tragedy that the people of the United States are about to suffer. Canada just needs to fix the trade deficit with the United States. If Trudeau does, the U.S. tariffs would not happen. Canada has turned a deaf ear when the U.S. requested a fair trading partner and less deficits in the past decades. How the heck did you become a multi-millionaire? Canadians are OVERTAXED, so yes you SHOULD be worried about tariffs and you resigned. Make that make sense. When its all over-it will make clear sense.
