All I can say as an American is that the giant majority of us do not want this at all. Donald does not speak for us and Canada and Mexico are our friends, especially in trade and culture. Our election system is so antiquated that tons of young people sat out and the swing states have all the power here. Plus, I don't think Mexico, Canada, France, Ukraine or any of you guys need to be apologetic, the US is what it is now

As a 69 year old American who’s father served in the liberation of Europe with our Canadian Allies, I apologize for our poor excuse or a president, man or human being. This moron is trying to destroy our world order.

Want Canadians know many of us are grieved by what is done by this so called but Not president and the tariffs that have been put on our neighbor. We mourn and feel grieved over the time he had been in office- the lies, lack of charity to others while still using ‘God’…shocked that nothing seems to be able to stop this… We are sorry for the hurt that’s been caused to Canada- And just know that some of us here are very grieved but what we see happening to many people in the last six months—- please forgive and pray for us!!!

I have no idea if Prime Minister Trudeau reads any of these comments or if his team does, but as an American, I am ashamed of our current government. We have a narcissist for a leader who is a bad businessman and a puppet of Putin. How refreshing to see a real LEADER who actually cares about his country and not himself. I support Canada wholeheartedly. I suspect many Americans will be hurt badly by these embargoes and (justified) retaliatory tariffs - but so be it.
