Excuse me, but when you already enjoy a massive trade surplus, you're GUARANTEED to lose a tariff war. What an idiot.

All we have to do is stop giving these refugees money and Free housing and they'll leave on their own it's a simple solution where is Canadians are the ones that worked for this country and get nothing are pension checks is pathetic but yet they come in here and make three times the money and contribute nothing to our country other than chaos
Focuses on economic disparity between refugees receiving benefits and Canadian citizens with inadequate pensions, proposing defunding as a solution.

Donald thinks he is running a business with profit and loss. Does he reliaze that by increasing Tariffs he is hurting Americans? Eventually, Canada will find other markets to sell their products.

Bring back 500$ Apartments and 500$ Beater cars and I'll make lots of babies for Canada. Can't pick up a girl in a tent and an expired bus pass.

Almost all students come to canada to stay here, mostly Indians. They are running away from their shit holes. Unfortunately they are making Canada a shit hole. High rents because of them as landlords giving one house to 10 students making small compartments making more money, thus high rents. No jobs for born Canadians because of them. Govt pays employer who hire students. Many came through fake marriages, fake documentation etc. Govt distributing PRs to them like hot cakes. Govt looking at short term money as investment but the outcome is catastrophic. Govt should look into the fake colleges that are registered in Canada which invites them. This is absolutely unjust to Canadians.
Combines economic grievances (housing costs, job competition) with unverified claims about fake documentation and government corruption, primarily framed as economic impact.

It's not the immigrants. Canada never had enough for their own. The taxes are too damn high
It's not the immigrants. Canada never had enough for their own. The taxes are too damn high
Argues that Canada's problems stem from insufficient resources and high taxes rather than immigration itself, framing this as an economic issue.

President Trump’s tariffs on Canada are essential to protecting American jobs and industries from unfair trade practices. Trudeau’s corrupt leadership has exploited the U.S. for years while failing to curb the fentanyl crisis that devastates American communities. His government’s scandals and suppression of dissent prove Canada is no longer a reliable partner. These tariffs aren’t about punishment—they’re about securing America’s future, restoring fair trade, and putting American workers first.
Justifies tariffs on economic grounds (protecting jobs, fair trade) while making unverified claims about Trudeau's corruption and fentanyl failure.

As an American who lives on the Michigan/Canadian border, this WILL have a serious negative effect on small business. Including my carpentry shop that relies on multiple shipments from Canada per week.

Even before the actions taken by Canada, one should look at balance of Fentanyl illegal trade. \n
\nOn average 46 lb of Fentanyl were smuggled from Canada to US , which divided by the population of the US comes to a 0.049 mg of fentanyl per US Citizen
\nOn the other direction, 950 lb Fentanyl were smugeled from the from US to Canada, which when divided by the population of Canada, ends up being 10.88 mg of fentanyl per Canadian Citizen\nNow, scientists say 2 mg is a lethal dose.
\nJust think about it, trump's US could kill each Canadian 5 times over by Fentanyl. \nSo who is supposed to be pissed?
Uses statistical comparison of fentanyl smuggling between countries to argue about relative harm and economic/security impact, framed as a comparative analysis.

Canada has not been straight with the US. I am IBEW. I have work side-by-side with countless Canadians who are in the IBW. I have never worked side-by-side with the US IBEW worker who has ever worked in Canada. Also Canada has been subsidizing their lumber mills for years, not charging them for The timber so they have an unfair advantage. Let’s let Canada pay their fair share to protect themselves instead of depend on the US to protect them.
Combines personal work experience with economic grievances about subsidies and unfair trade advantages, arguing Canada should pay more for defense.

In a trade war, the one who can resist inflation and give in to pressure last wins. To know who wins, just look at the side with the bigger economy.
