I did two work trips near Toronto, in a community predominately Indian and Punjab, and both times I worked with the same two Indian local contractors. The second time I came back unannounced, which lapsed by like 6 months, they somehow remembered my name 😅 They weren't the brightest but I absolutely appreciate the respect they showed me, especially when they kept calling me Mr. FirstName.
First-person account of a positive work experience with Indian contractors, expressing appreciation for their professionalism and respect.

As a American, I have become entirely jaded and have nothing but frustration, anger and anxiety towards actions of the supposed leader of this nation. Hearing this leader speak is so refreshing.

As someone who's born and raised in Brampton I don't really see any issues when it comes to the large Indian demographic in the city. Majority of the people in this city are just middle class families trying to get by and provide their kids and families a bright future. Without the indian immigrants coming to this city what would it even be? You have families living in million dollar+ houses, working, owning business, giving good futures and opportunities for their children but y'all mad cause they are Indians who are doing this. If they were white people instead would be calling Brampton a success story then?
If 75 percent of the population is south asian, OF COURSE you will see south asian workers, south asian restaurants, grocery stores (JUST LIKE ANY OTHER COMMUNITY). You only see this issue online because the people who actually live in these areas have absolutely no issue with the city. They're mad they can't progress in their own lives and use cities like Brampton as a scapegoat for their own problems.
It just doesn't make sense to me how so many people have an issue with Brampton when they don't even know what it is like.
Draws on lived experience in Brampton to counter negative stereotypes, arguing that demographic diversity reflects normal community development and challenging double standards.

“As an Indian, I feel embarrassed by what some people are doing in the UK, Canada, the US, Australia, and New Zealand. It is not fair. I believe that if a country gives you a chance to build a better life, then it is your responsibility to contribute positively to that country. Instead, some people are involved in illegal activities, and because of this, many truly talented Indian students are suffering.”
First-person account from an Indian immigrant expressing shame about misconduct by some compatriots and advocating reciprocal responsibility.

Tyler, I was very interested in the topic of volunteer firefighters in your video about New York related to the Jewish community. I hope that someday I can come to Chile and film firefighters, myself included. We are volunteers, meaning it's not a job as such; we don't receive a salary or anything like that. We only focus on our vocation and sacrifice.
Commenter shares their own experience as a volunteer firefighter in Chile and expresses personal aspirations related to the video topic.

I am East Indian and I think there is too many Indians in this country. Especially the ones that don’t have values and are reckless. But also Indians will work any job where white people wont. Also this video is trying to stir up shit. He probably got rejected by a brown woman. lol. The problem with Hindu’s and Sikhs is the prime minister of India. He hates my people and wants us dead.
Combines first-person identity claim (East Indian) with personal critique of specific immigrant groups, plus dismissive commentary about the video creator's motives.

I am an Indian immigrant living on GTA. If I was forced to live in Brampton, I would rather go back to India than live in Brampton.
The problem with Brampton is a subset of Indians that are easily recognizable and do not assimilate. Most of these specific subset come here as students and through family sponsorship ( not regular immigration stream). The students get false documents for their language and educational credentials. The politicians are also to blame for pondering for their votes. If there is one ethnic group that has the capacity to destroy Canada further in the future to a point of no return, it is this subset. Unfortunately most Canadians do not know this, and Indians as a general group are seen as the problem. Next time just ask them where in India these people are from, and soon you will know for yourself.
Combines lived experience as an Indian immigrant with specific claims about document fraud and political pandering, while critiquing a subset of immigrants.

That was such an ignorant comment about Muslims and Africans. As an Egyptian Muslim who has lived in Canada for five years, I’ve found most Canadians to be incredibly friendly. It’s a shame to hear such rhetoric when a significant portion of the workforce and healthcare system , the people serving Canadians every day, are Muslim and/or African.
First-person account of lived experience as an Egyptian Muslim in Canada, countering negative rhetoric with moral appeals about immigrant contributions.

I am an immigrant & am just speechless at the decay! Living here for over 18 yrs, this wasn't what we met when we first arrived.
When we came here, we schooled & worked.... Now you can't find any job.
I lost my job in June.... And until now I can't find another. It was tough to get EI agreed to pay me a few weeks for the same money they collected from my pay.
Somebody should tell the Liberal govt to stop bringing people pls.
Lived experience as 18-year immigrant describing job loss and economic hardship, combined with criticism of Liberal government immigration policy.
