2 months, 1 week ago hemant111 As an immigrant in Canada, I'm 100% certain even immigrants are opposed to excessive Immigration, especially refugees. 96 lDBCJjYJZ30

2 months, 1 week ago rr3775 Canada has a huge problem with its policy on skilled programs. Any other developed country including Australia honour the preceding policy if the applicant arrived in the country before the program is closed or the policy is reversed. Canada does not. This is not just unethical but has a very negative impact on future immigration when levels do subside where our economy needs more immigrants. 1 lDBCJjYJZ30

2 months, 1 week ago HébertBourguignon Changes to immigration are welcome. In Quebec things are far more complicated as integration and language come into play. Most immigrants struggle to build a life in Canada due to expensive housing (renting or ownership). Canada was also accepting too many professional immigrants (engineering, business, consulting, IT, accounting) when we desperately need trades, construction workers and mechanics. The reduction in immigration and foreign students to sustainable levels is long overdue. 0 lDBCJjYJZ30
2 months, 1 week ago Alexa-777-u9d In Japan many people work as temporary workers They sign contracts, when the contract is up they leave and get paid a big chunk of the money the company was keeping for them and a bonus, to make sure they leave. Sometimes they extend their contract , but they do have to leave for for a month to get the money. Japan is making sure everybody is keeping their part of the deal. Why can't we have it here? Why TEMPORARY workers demand to stay? 15 lDBCJjYJZ30
2 months, 1 week ago TylerDurden1975-o1x True Canadians want lower immigration. The only ones that don't are foreigners living in Canada and neoliberal globalists. Canada has a population of about 41 million people right now. Only about 28 million are actual "Canadians". 5 lDBCJjYJZ30
2 months, 1 week ago Alexa-777-u9d Not true. Most Canadians want smaller numbers and tighter requirements. The students and TEMPORARY workers think they automatically will get permanent residency, when in fact there are no guarantees..Why these people act like Canada did something wrong? Having that many people come is a strain on all our resources and job market. We have a right to decide who we need and want. Store manager is not a job that Canadians won't do. 1 lDBCJjYJZ30

2 months, 1 week ago danielbojocescu8187 Rich people cannot dictate for all....,they want cheap labor and in the mean time all Canadians struggle because there is no work for us ..... they want temporary workers to exploit and abuse them. if you are Canadian you can't find work 0 lDBCJjYJZ30
2 months, 1 week ago MB-dp1rj Bravo Canada! 0 lDBCJjYJZ30
2 months, 1 week ago danielbojocescu8187 They need to leave now ....we don't need them here to do like in FRANCE 0 lDBCJjYJZ30
2 months, 1 week ago connormckendrick4162 I don’t know any Canadians that think the immigration is good. Only non Canadians want more non Canadians. French outlets don’t know about that because France isn’t French anymore. 0 lDBCJjYJZ30

2 months, 1 week ago ryanbudney3356 IMO France 24's reporting is a little confused on this issue. You're getting the perspective of 1) immigrants that have been denied a path to citizenship and 2) corporations that can't offer attractive wages to Canadians. We have far too many companies whose business model is that Canada should be a low-cost labour source, i.e. they've invested in a future supporting immigrants and not Canadians. 0 lDBCJjYJZ30
2 months, 1 week ago olowoaye Well if there is anything to learn here, it is that you should be careful what the news tell you. Even if their reporting appeal to your ideology 4 lDBCJjYJZ30

2 months, 1 week ago nonamehere-nope Yeah... Too much immagration. You would have a hard time finding many Canadians saying different. I work at a University and we have had a heck of a time trying to track down our international students after they dropped out within weeks of starting. 1 lDBCJjYJZ30
2 months, 1 week ago blito3wot if you only build 100 000 housing units a year, but you let in 250 000 people and their families members....the math doesnt add up. flood the cities with people you have destitution and homelessness. 0 lDBCJjYJZ30

2 months, 1 week ago wunkle9523 How about paying your workers a living wage? I refuse to believe you can't find people to change tires. 47 lDBCJjYJZ30
2 months, 1 week ago ThisGuyHere71 I am a Canadian residing in Vancouver BC. and there is no division. We Canadians 🇨🇦 want fair, balanced and skilled immigration that contributes to the betterment of all Canadians. Companies like Tim Hortons want to hire cheap foreign labour with no benefits, it is pure greed. Canadians have had enough. We are unified in this assertion. 9 lDBCJjYJZ30
2 months, 1 week ago tm-2023 So, I am applying to TEMPORARY working visa, and when that term is finished, and the government decides not to extend my TEMPORARY visa, I say, oh, wait, I invested so much money in this to be PERMANENT, nobody does such an investment to COME BACK to my country... Interesting. 1 lDBCJjYJZ30
2 months, 1 week ago crownedraven1260 Cree here, it’s pretty common belief that we hate Ottawa and the political class for trying colonization 2.0 from the liberals. It seriously fucked over the country with pollution, crime, and opportunities. Many reservations still don’t have running water but at least we have armed foreigners adding to the human trafficking numbers. I will never forgive or forget what new canada has done to me and my people. 1 lDBCJjYJZ30
2 months, 1 week ago marksantos4323 Temporary Foreign Worker Program is not immigration. Nice try France24. Canadian here and we are not divided. 1 lDBCJjYJZ30
2 months, 1 week ago temper44 Canada is still taking in 400k immigrants this year, that is no small number. Just building homes for 400k people in the major cities is a challenge. 1 lDBCJjYJZ30
2 months, 1 week ago annetoronto5474 We have people sleeping in tents outside during the winter -30c and even worse weather, we have a major housing crisis, we are short close to half a million homes. Young Canadians are not getting hired because companies are hiring foreigners who are cheap labour, young people are not able to afford to move out of their parents homes. We are now seeing young Canadians looking for jobs and opportunities outside of Canada 🇨🇦, the Liberal government has destroyed this country. 26 lDBCJjYJZ30

2 months, 1 week ago Eza_yuta Based on the video title I assume the previous policy of open border wasn't dividing the country and all people just accepted that? 5 lDBCJjYJZ30
2 months, 1 week ago Normandie1911 Fake news. The Liberals brought in more immigrants than they had housing for. Basic math was thrown out the window. It was insane. 7 lDBCJjYJZ30
2 months, 1 week ago andrewh2u Its a 'Temporary' residence permit...... which by its very name means it will not be forever. Get used to it... I know that under Justin 'Jolson' Troo-Doo it was a free-for-all but that could never last even in Woke Canada. 0 lDBCJjYJZ30
2 months, 1 week ago henri6794 What a ridiculous report. Canadians (myself included) are UNANIMOUSLY for tighter immigration policies. No idea where you're getting this idea that we're divided LMFAO. 0 lDBCJjYJZ30

2 months, 1 week ago CanadianReturnee Trudeau says it is a bad policy change. That said, Quebec has their own immigration policy 0 lDBCJjYJZ30
2 months, 1 week ago wongjefx980 Not that an issue in Canada. Some on the extreme right are playing the racism angle. What happened was too many people were allowed in the country in a short period of time, putting strain on services and employment. This was done during pandemic when labor was issue and with universities and colleges when tuition was frozen, and they set that with foreign students who were not qualified financially to study abroad and did it more for permanent residency. 0 lDBCJjYJZ30
2 months, 1 week ago speedymikey20 Its the Canadian politicians that is dividing Canada ... the people here are united . 2 lDBCJjYJZ30
