1 year, 3 months ago @mgarvin Good. Less immigration is what all Canadians want. I’m the child of immigrants I believe immigration is a good thing. But not the way it has been completely ruined by this government. Our country is flooded with low skilled immigrants. In addition the mass immigration and rapid demographic change is not incentivizing immigrants to adapt to Canada. ( eg see any corner in any town in Ontario and see how much of the immigrants speak English). If eveything is Canadian then nothing is. I want our culture not to be dissolved into nothingness. 2 l4xPTJvTI70

1 year, 3 months ago @AldousSkyDeLiMa This will only work if some of the lazy people actually go out and look for a job instead of complaining to our Government. I don't know why we are even losing to people who came from the third world. This is a ridicule to ourselves. 1 l4xPTJvTI70

1 year, 3 months ago @lesliengo8347 As a young Canadian-born adult who applied to 40-50 entry level jobs and still got nothing, I strongly support prioritizing Canadians over immigrants, temporary foreign workers and International students. If Canadians are struggling to find work, then it's no surprise newcomers would also struggle to get a job. Canadians on Canadian soil must take priority. We can't take care of others and perform our best if we don't take care of ourselves. ? 180 l4xPTJvTI70

1 year, 3 months ago @jerryk6343 Enough immigrants already....Canada is short of housing, short of medical care, short of teachers....thnx for nothing trudeau and liberals. 1 l4xPTJvTI70
1 year, 3 months ago @SHARONSTONE3337 Too late!\nThe damage to Canada is done.\nHealth care destroyed.\nSkill-less newcomers\nIncredible financial benefits\nAbility to still live and work in yr home country.\nMulticulturalism failure.\nMultiple Passports.\nOne Passport only.\nBring skilled labour who actually speak English.\nI know people who use Canada as an Instant Teller and health care while still keeping a home in their home country. 1 l4xPTJvTI70
1 year, 3 months ago @TheBodrey If the government's worried about maintaining the same service standard maybe they should stop letting 500K people in every year. IMO, the border should be CLOSED until Canada gets a handle on the shortage of affordable housing and the pricing of housing in general comes back down to reality. Immigrants are causing rents and house prices to skyrocket because the demand is so high and the supply is so low. 1 l4xPTJvTI70
1 year, 3 months ago @cjblaze83 20 percent over the next three years isnt enough. It needs to be 80 percent this year. 48 l4xPTJvTI70
1 year, 3 months ago @TheBodrey 3,300 only represents 20%? That's a s**t ton of people working for the government's immigration department. Does the government really need 16,500 employees just to process immigration applications? Sounds like a whole lot of bloat to me. Well... that's the government for you. 1 l4xPTJvTI70

1 year, 3 months ago @cybtb I remember when the political Left was dead against mass immigration because it lowers wages and work standards. Bernie Saunders is a prime example before he flipped on the topic. The Left discovered endless votes they can import which is what this has really been all about, because it certainly is not about prosperity or common sense or unity. 2 l4xPTJvTI70
1 year, 3 months ago @natshillingford2618 Honestly they can have Canada at this rate, they dont care about us and we dont have time to waste in hopes that someone will make change.. its to far gone economically 2 l4xPTJvTI70
1 year, 3 months ago @derrickpiche1119 There should be exactly 0 translators in Canada paid for by the tax payers. If you can't learn our languages, you do not need to be here. It's very simple, yet overlooked by our current corrupt government. 2 l4xPTJvTI70
1 year, 3 months ago @judahnanneti5599 Regards the subject discussed why is it important that we bring millions of immigrants when the country is struggling with unemployment, crime and homelessness ? 5 l4xPTJvTI70

1 year, 3 months ago @Bmtom-r5v This Liberal government should be sued by hard working tax paying Canadians. They allowed open work permits to spouses of students who have taken the jobs away from Canadians..and I am speaking about office jobs 27 l4xPTJvTI70
1 year, 3 months ago @ZOpenView There is no backlog in employment. Too many Canadians are unemployed because they are pushed out of work to be replaced with immigrants. 0 l4xPTJvTI70
1 year, 3 months ago @SamWitney The answer is simple, cut immigration, period. Unemployment rate is crazy for students looking for work because immigrants are taking the jobs. Look after your countries people first. Then look through immigration for what you have shortages of second. Canada use to understand and do this way better before Trudeau. But Trudeau just opened the doors to everyone. Putting Canada in a terrible state. 131 l4xPTJvTI70

1 year, 3 months ago @pearlstee Funny how I sat with a Canadian elderly person who looked me in the eye and told me how lazy Canadian youth are and crying that immigrants are getting their jobs when in reality it’s either they don’t have the actual qualification or do not want to work the job. As an employment coordinator, I have received so many Canadians under 35 years of age who want me to help them look for a job but then after all the effort I put in they just send a long message telling me they don’t think they are mentally ready or physically ready or if they are worthy or good enough hence the reason they just want to quit and not get a job anymore. 5 l4xPTJvTI70

1 year, 3 months ago @timothyblack7476 ??????????? it's seems like Canadians may have to go wherever these immigrants are coming from to seek work 10 l4xPTJvTI70
1 year, 3 months ago @heenanyou This may be a reaction to Trump suspending immigration. They might want to come here. 6 l4xPTJvTI70
1 year, 3 months ago @sparkie996 Out of control immigration drives up the cost to buy and rent houses, same issue here in Australia.\nWe can't builld enough houses in Australia to meet the demand. Many building companies went out of business when the price of materials increased but their contract price couldn't.\nCashed up immigrants who can afford higher prices effectively drive locals away from places to live. Homelessness is increasing in Australia.\nThe government then tries to build more social housing and pays the builders higher prices than a person building a private house can afford, which continues to increase the construction cost spiral. We now have $1M+ houses being built for people on welfare who only have to pay a maximum of 25% of their income, and that income is given to them by the government. People are better off being unemployed and living off government benefits and housing than to have a job paying less than $100k/yr. 17 l4xPTJvTI70
1 year, 3 months ago @Adrian0992-z7w The fact that you are calling them immigration jobs just exposes the huge problem with the system to begin with. All jobs in Canada should be jobs for Canadians first and foremost, full stop. 37 l4xPTJvTI70

1 year, 3 months ago @rodwilson2744 So… does cutting staff means we can’t address those already here??? Is this intended to delay those being removed vs those outside coming in… how cynical. 6 l4xPTJvTI70
1 year, 3 months ago @ianscott479 If you dont have a major degree, experience or a job offer in , and can survive this economic downturn without subsidy, which can no longer be afforded, then stay in your country. You may well be better off where you are. 19 l4xPTJvTI70
1 year, 3 months ago @JR519-g2t Why in Canada, does it take years for our Gov ( if their working ) to cancel or reduce something. Anywhere else in the world, it's now, and done with. Next...... 0 l4xPTJvTI70

1 year, 3 months ago @shieh.4743 I agree with slowing down immigration. We didn't prepare for it or build the infrastructure for it. But we don't all need to be aholes about it. Looking at you, comment section. Agree with the policy, but we don't need to be American. 0 l4xPTJvTI70
1 year, 3 months ago @bcb321 Blaming immigrants for systemic problems is often misplaced and unfair. Immigrants who work hard and contribute to society, are not the root cause of challenges such as housing shortages, healthcare pressures, or job market competition. These are complex issues stemming from broader systemic factors like government policies, urban planning, and economic strategies.\n\nImmigrants play a significant role in strengthening Canada’s economy. They fill labor shortages, contribute to innovation, and enrich cultural life. However, when governments fail to address structural issues like insufficient infrastructure or support systems, it’s easier for some people to scapegoat immigrants rather than look at deeper causes.\n\nThank God I left Canada in 2022 ... It's not the right place to settle... 6 l4xPTJvTI70
