2 years, 3 months ago @MaxMotoYYC There are solutions but too much red tape… use tiny homes. There’s a lot of green-space on many campuses. Just think smaller, students only need a warm place and a bed. No need to build condo buildings that won’t be finished until five years from now 0 eP02h50KIOA
2 years, 3 months ago @tessajohnston6093 How is it that we’re told we need immigration to fill the jobs vacant and to build more homes, yet we wouldn’t need anywhere near all those homes if immigration wasn’t happening and yet immigration isn’t even filling those gaps because it’s still an issue. So completely puts an error in what the government is saying 2 eP02h50KIOA
2 years, 3 months ago @user-buck-b7j This program like the temporary foreign workers program is just a back door to immigration.Once here they dont leave. Our population is the biggest in Canadian history yet our gdp is shrinking proving the myth they will grow the economy is bs. 0 eP02h50KIOA
2 years, 3 months ago @Akbir123 I wonder how canadian the host looks ??? 0 eP02h50KIOA
2 years, 3 months ago @jandp2941 “Most productive”. I believe so… I went to school with some people from Indian and they were incredible, very smart and studious. I loved them… but we should NEVER forget to put Canadians first. I know a lot of moms with older kids who are sending their children to study in Europe or in the US, because they can’t get a spot in Canadian universities. They were all born and raised here… :( Canadian are becoming “international students” abroad themselves because they can’t find a space here. This has to stop. \n\nThese people are just drying ice with a towel… bringing tons of international students and leaving our own behind will backfire, wait..it already has ? 0 eP02h50KIOA
2 years, 3 months ago @mirouzunov4321 I am actually happy we all agree in the comments. Immigrant or non Immigrant? 0 eP02h50KIOA
2 years, 3 months ago @tessajohnston6093 International students say they are scared of being homeless. Well welcome to every actual Canadians struggle because of all the immigration. Probably should have came with the proper funds…. 0 eP02h50KIOA
2 years, 3 months ago @Moshimoshi405 Federal government want money from International students 0 eP02h50KIOA
2 years, 3 months ago @planefan082 In the long term widespread immigration is good for our economy and development, but we sorely need to retool to build enough apartments faster, for one, and the infrastructure to sustain everything (both physical and education, healthcare, etc). To an extent this is a chicken and egg scenario to get it started but we need to refocus for a few years. 0 eP02h50KIOA

2 years, 3 months ago @Starryface681 There is also a failure of recognizing that many of these international students are coming from nations with different political views or have extreme dogmatic values, and are ultimately bringing these issues abroad when they enter a new country. 70 eP02h50KIOA
2 years, 3 months ago @LOVER_LINK canada economy is weak 0 eP02h50KIOA
2 years, 3 months ago @debbieweber5507 They are coming here and taking courses that don’t interest them just to get permanent residency and you have the gall to say us Canadians are not intelligent enough. We are being replace plain snd simple . 1 eP02h50KIOA

2 years, 3 months ago @ajg1616 We all know what countries they are coming from and we already have enough of them , show me an international student from Germany or Finland who applied to a colleges located in a strip mall … ? 0 eP02h50KIOA
2 years, 3 months ago @kylere6288 Students are being exploited. Full stop. 0 eP02h50KIOA
2 years, 3 months ago @发财闷声 think about it , up to 90% of the school funding come from international student. Without them , I cannot imagine if local student can afford the tuition. If schools can still hire the best professors. And how many people may loss their job. Why can’t we think of education industry just like any other pillar economic sector similar to finance, manufacturing. The only thing we need to solve is housing. Just build more dorms and take in more students and make canadian economy better 0 eP02h50KIOA
2 years, 3 months ago @cmmm-p1b universities sdhould be building housing with some of those foreign dollars. cut the tfw program limit it to agriculture. now they are being used to save companies money. cut normal immigration back to max 200,000.foreign students should not be fasttracted to immigration. remove that incentive. 1 eP02h50KIOA
2 years, 3 months ago @cheehincheong6719 We need to reform the system.Don't worry ,people leaving Canada there will be a lot of housing. 0 eP02h50KIOA
2 years, 3 months ago @burnttoast9112 Please, provide an explanation, as to why majority of the students are from not from India, sorry they are from Punjab. Hardly any from other other states. All of them studying at phony, questionable colleges. Its a way to get resident status . 16 eP02h50KIOA

2 years, 3 months ago @tss9886 Why would you come to a country without somewhere to live? The school may bare most of the responsibility but honestly the student has to accept some responsibility as well. 9 eP02h50KIOA

2 years, 3 months ago @lominiski Fansawe is cheap and know for immigration. You study two years and can do a PGWP and then apply for CEC. Why go to London? This comes at the cost to Canadians. They get killed. Does Trudo have a huge long position on real estate. 0 eP02h50KIOA
2 years, 3 months ago @archie_bunker i will never support these international students only canadian ones.. 0 eP02h50KIOA

2 years, 3 months ago @MichelLarabie-v2m if you are going to build more homes - lets stop building to buy - make them to rent 0 eP02h50KIOA
2 years, 3 months ago @surpotel8016 This international student program has become a joke in the Indian media. This media is full of content on how to get jobs and survive in Canada. Indian students motive is not education but getting jobs in Canada. 0 eP02h50KIOA
2 years, 3 months ago @jkanneth3128 100% Immigration Factories 0 eP02h50KIOA
2 years, 3 months ago @thedualtransition6070 The example used should have been somewhere like Conestoga, which has become an absolute diploma-mill, basically selling residency. The impact on local communities has been ridiculous and many of those students are competing for local working class jobs. Remove the residency ability and the number of students will collapse, that is what is needed. If the institutions can't prove that they can house the students they should not be allowed to bring them in. If some of these diploma-mills go bust, good. We should be putting a break on immigration anyway, to give Canada a break to integrate the millions and millions that have come in in the past two decades. 53 eP02h50KIOA
2 years, 3 months ago @musicjeffyoung The percentages in the little graphic add up awfully fast. You can't really see how low they start.\n\nYou gotta screen shot it right as they fly onto the screen 0 eP02h50KIOA
2 years, 3 months ago @spat6922 You can discuss unfavorably for students who come , pay and contribute to the economy. But can’t discuss the goons and other murderers of other countries sought asylum with intent to continue those activities with political support. ?? misplaced priorities and misinformed individuals 2 eP02h50KIOA
2 years, 3 months ago @hyena280 Yes. International student dollars were welcome over covid measures when no one else could fly. 1 eP02h50KIOA
2 years, 3 months ago @DoubleTroublePaintball Phht already have half if India over here 1 eP02h50KIOA
2 years, 3 months ago @danielcortes4523 I went to Conestoga college, and I wish your mon read my words. Canadians, should consider that international students are paying around 20k yearly to Canada Colleges institutions that are not offering better education than the one provided in their own countries for way less than 30k. Other developed countries, like Germany or Belgium offer the same programs to international students for around 8k yearly, but, the international students rather come to Canada which also offer an easier path to become PR. But then, they crash with the reality and they realize that even many Indians can't speak proper English to be competitive in a Canadian College or in a Canadian company. Unfortunately, Canadians educational institutions know that the English spoken by international students is not enough but, they send them an acceptance letter from the institution so they can come and study in Canada. So, the real problem are the Canadian public colleges and Universities accepting people with a poor English level from overseas. Canada is a great place to be but, this kind of actions make their productivity poor which is in reality the problem behind the bad economy development when compare with similar developed countries. So, your mon should first blame its own country policies and educational institutions rather than international students for that kind of behaviors when they are students. Also, you should put your self in their shoes, learn German and go to Germany and see how easy is to manage to get a waitress job only in German in a city like Cologne. And then remember that this international students are bringing 20k from their countries economy to Canada each one yearly. Know, think how many Canadians bring 20k yearly to India or Nepal... 2 eP02h50KIOA
2 years, 3 months ago @XtreamSJ Look into Applyboard's government lobbying! Also look at the types of students it is bringing, 1 eP02h50KIOA
2 years, 3 months ago @lominiski Lots of useless colleges. The security guards in my condo are studying logistics. Some work for Amazon delivery. Others are flipping pizzas. And if you go to the grocery stores at certain times, they are pulling goods. Dollarama has lots sorting goods (they say this is a Canadian company). 1 eP02h50KIOA
