2 years, 3 months ago @maryamzokaie7450 We don't need their productivity. Leave the jobs for Canadian citizens and permanent residents. There are people in this country who will do the jobs that international students are doing. We don't need their contribution. We need our housing supply . Please leave. 0 eP02h50KIOA

2 years, 3 months ago @user-mi6pq2uu9s Too many Indian students specifically. Unless Canada wants to turn into India 2.0, it should only accept researchers from India and limit 99% rest. 0 eP02h50KIOA
2 years, 3 months ago @mariam6822 Canada needs voters? Population growth? 0 eP02h50KIOA

2 years, 3 months ago @treblecharged Where were these colleges getting all this money from before the influx of international students? 0 eP02h50KIOA
2 years, 3 months ago @lyshm1 Have a look at what our government is doing. When the academic performance of our own students are bad, instead of investing in education which is the correct approach, we just handing out more study permits to international students and leave average Canadians with a housing crisis 0 eP02h50KIOA
2 years, 3 months ago @atifchoudhury6582 Get rid of Trudeau Govt. He is destroying the country ? 0 eP02h50KIOA
2 years, 3 months ago @taylorhamilton250 Shocker\n\nConservatives cut funding, and then education organizations look for alternative revenue. That's how you run a business, and you would think Conservatives would understand this fact from reality. 0 eP02h50KIOA
2 years, 3 months ago @vik56in The huge wave of immigration is making the Bank of Canada to keep on increasing interest rates to fight inflation. Since the demand for commodities by the large swathes of new immigrants far outstrips what Canada can supply. The roads and highways are overcrowded, the emergency waiting time in hospitals is over 8hrs since the medical infrastructure is not able to cope with the demand by the huge population. 0 eP02h50KIOA
2 years, 3 months ago @ghostden8547 Just return their money and tax they have paid and send them back . 0 eP02h50KIOA
2 years, 3 months ago @lilybeth729 My question is: why is it that 98.5% of international students come from one country? I remember when I was in high school working at McDonald’s etc now Walmart, Petro Canada, Tim Horton’s, McDonald’s are only hiring international students and only from one country too ? 28 eP02h50KIOA

2 years, 3 months ago @danlacina7562 The answer is yes 0 eP02h50KIOA
2 years, 3 months ago @gargwinvinesnake6961 I agree with what was stated in this.\n\nI would be interested in hearing how Canadian students compare to international students grade wise.\n\n There's a disturbing trend of expectations on Canadian standards being lowered and lowered, teachers being unable to fail students, and covid made it so much worse. Reading levels for middle school have been adjusted to be that of fifth grade or lower.\n\n There are so many students GRADUATING from high school who can't read at a sixth grade level. They haven't seen the inside of a classroom except to socialize with friends. \n\n Why would universities want these students? So their failure or drop out rate can go through the roof? So they can show employment after graduation being low as these students have little to no motivation to work? 6 eP02h50KIOA
2 years, 3 months ago @KoolKat42 NO ONE is talking about how It’s almost impossible for a Canadian student to get accepted into a university or college because they don’t pay the inflated international tuition fees. 0 eP02h50KIOA
2 years, 3 months ago @Roguerebel297 You know it’s bad when the main branch of the CBC are able to do a journalism.. Still good for you! Even if the fifth estate did the groundwork for this story last year lol 0 eP02h50KIOA
2 years, 3 months ago @kensnape599 I hope the Conservatives get in and the first thing they do is get rid of the CBC Boondogle. 0 eP02h50KIOA
2 years, 3 months ago @stargirljen5532 The students are the ones helping this country. They are willing to work and share accommodations. 0 eP02h50KIOA
2 years, 3 months ago @stargirljen5532 I don't think the students are the problem for housing. They just need to build more housing. i see land here. 0 eP02h50KIOA
2 years, 3 months ago @eco8842 Fedex, Adobe, Micron, Microsoft, Google, Western Union CEOs are all foreigners in USA. You cannot find a foreign CEO in Canada. Canada is a country where your life is wasted as immigrant. I would be ashamed to see doctors and engineers driving taxi in my own country meanwhile Canada loves how to ruin people's life. 1 eP02h50KIOA
2 years, 3 months ago @StephenLeGresley Yes, as much as most people don't want to admit it, we don't have the housing or resources to take in so many. And not just students but our immigration levels are off the charts in all areas.\n\nI have no issue with someone wanting to come here hoping for a better life, but thats not a legal right that we have n obligation for. Same as you wouldn't open your door and invite anyone in the city to come on in.\n\nWe have to think about this from a practical level because our unrestricted immigration is causing a crisis in many areas, housing, health care and so on. 0 eP02h50KIOA
2 years, 3 months ago @davetugwood1770 Canadians can't find jobs? Have you tried getting a tradesman lately? 0 eP02h50KIOA
2 years, 3 months ago @sukisuki6114 I wonder how many Canadians are fleeing Canada…. 0 eP02h50KIOA
2 years, 3 months ago @rickrollrizal Maybe universities should cut off lesbian dance theory degrees. Honestly, a degree in Africa or Asian studies do not contribute to society. 1 eP02h50KIOA
2 years, 3 months ago @kingofgods-w3t 2.5% of Canada's population is international students. 0 eP02h50KIOA

2 years, 3 months ago @cj3704 Message to CBC - Please show concern about Canadians who were born, educated and worked their entire lives in Canada. They have had a lack of affordable housing for decades. Have you discussed that at length? 0 eP02h50KIOA
2 years, 3 months ago @zamaalishariff79 Im doing my college and the majority of students have taken over everything.. its a mob of wannabee migrants sorting out dumb pg in business dumb couses and PR guarantees ? houses r all.having a multitude of flags lol 0 eP02h50KIOA
2 years, 3 months ago @PatchAmis 4:10 yea I wish our immigration had levels and caps, its not just the students that come in unfettered 0 eP02h50KIOA
2 years, 3 months ago @McAwesomeReaper There is far too much third world trash in canada. Student visas and immigration in general must be paused until the government balances the budget. Canada has no money, and any demographic challenges being faced are specifically the fault of the government. PPC is the only sane choice left for Canadians. 0 eP02h50KIOA
2 years, 3 months ago @granrey while people continue having pets rather than kids. Immigration has to continue. 1 eP02h50KIOA
2 years, 3 months ago @zamaalishariff79 Veterans like us hardly get any housing or household mafias are outta pockets expensive lol 0 eP02h50KIOA
2 years, 3 months ago @Teenywing Countries around the world need to start modelling themselves after Denmark. It’s the only chance we have to regain some happiness. 0 eP02h50KIOA
2 years, 3 months ago @mahtabsoin Not to worry about international students anymore. Canada's reputation has already taken a catastrophic hit. 7 eP02h50KIOA
2 years, 3 months ago @79tazman I live in London i know all about International students and how crazy things are since rental properties are non existent and the price has skyrocketed for rental properties and another is the city transit system that is always packed with many buses are having to tell people to wait for the next bus because it is so packed. it is getting out of control in my opinion because not only do we have the students we have all the Asylum seekers on top of that and how they add to the wait lines in the ER and walk in clinics. and then they are looking for places to rent to but there is nothing because everything is packed. 1 eP02h50KIOA
2 years, 3 months ago @Atite_Lometen Oh no so 22 billions dollars and everyone is broke so who is taking the money? 0 eP02h50KIOA
2 years, 3 months ago @justsayin5609 Meanwhile, my honours student Uni grad niece couldn't even get a spot into Teacher's college at the local institution she graduated from and worked in the research lab. This wouldv'e allowed her to remain living at home, saving thousands and thousands of dollars mind you, because there were so many international students accepted. So, she had to move several hours away (to a far better Uni imho), incur the expenses and live with strangers instead. Local kids getting treated as 2nd class to internationals, clearly. So then, the foreign student heads back home shiny new Canadian degree in hand, and who benefits? Not Canada, for damn sure. And don't get me started on how we have to relax standards in the medical profession to bring in foreign trained doctors and nurses to mitigate our own short comings in relation to capacity. 13 eP02h50KIOA
2 years, 3 months ago @johnsefton9831 Why aren’t you covering the farmer’s protests, CBC? You criminals 0 eP02h50KIOA
2 years, 3 months ago @BO_Riddle Canada will be India soon 2 eP02h50KIOA
2 years, 3 months ago @pziddy6215 You think they’ll just cut off 20 billion dollars of their income? Ontario makes 2Billion and according to CBC that’s more than what the govt allocates to them. Haha. Jokes. I came here as a PR and I feel like the solution is to put a cap on the number of students, increase ielts cut off and give each province a number of max students allowed. 0 eP02h50KIOA
2 years, 3 months ago @pooch443078 Fyi - international students (for the most part) work extremely hard, apply for work permits after they graduate and eventually apply to become permanent residents. This is a good thing.\nMaybe rather than clamp down on those immigrants we should worry about illegal immigration or limit our intake of refugees 0 eP02h50KIOA
2 years, 3 months ago @Scotian6444 If its a puppy mill than bring charges forward... with covid it became a loop hole for fast track immigration with the ability to work.. who would ever think that would not be exploited 1 eP02h50KIOA
