2 years, 3 months ago @racer193wr Amazing you can comment on a CBC news YouTube channel.. you cannot blame the huge influx of immagrants on just students coming here to learn... The federal government needs NEEDS NEEDS to shut down the flow of people coming here from everywhere.. we as a country cannot handle the sheer ammount that they want to bring in.. these people are brough here in the expectance of paying taxes.. but how many are getting their education and leaving for greener pastures? Why would this be any different than what Canadian students do after they are finished with their education.. How may of the immagrants that are coming here that the government expects to pay taxes are actually taking money from the welfare system because there are no jobs for them.. im gonna say that taht number is huge maybe more tahn 60 percent.. What the liberal government is doing is destroying Canada in the mean time and all Canadians are suffering because of these moronic games.. It needs to stop now. 0 eP02h50KIOA

2 years, 3 months ago @alysonturcin-weller7443 If there is a problem with the abuse of visas, maybe fix the immigration system then? Slicing student visas would only be a temporary and band-aid solution no? 0 eP02h50KIOA
2 years, 3 months ago @tooter4u271 The schools could save an awful lot of money by getting rid of bureaucratic bloat and all of the destructive “studies” and “critical” programs but of course that isn’t mentioned here. 1 eP02h50KIOA
2 years, 3 months ago @mrlwiseman2900 Canada is only think about one thing, $$$$$$$$$ Canada is over populated, traffic is mess, everywhere you go the wait time is ridiculous 0 eP02h50KIOA

2 years, 3 months ago @jadenriggins3852 You're the only journalist I watch on CBC. Thank you for your unbiased reporting and data presentation. 0 eP02h50KIOA
2 years, 3 months ago @madhumatiroy1742 I see only Indian students speaking in this video, isn’t India a growing economy..? 0 eP02h50KIOA
2 years, 3 months ago @lisakmar We didn't use to see people on the streets begging in Canada. Now on evevry street corner in the GTA (Vaughan, Newmarket, Barrie, Hamilton etc.) there is a lady in a hijab begging. Slow immigration now! Fix the problems. Then we can resume. 0 eP02h50KIOA
2 years, 3 months ago @Domcel We should not be accepting any foreign students until all Canadian students are placed Herr in Canada first 1 eP02h50KIOA
2 years, 3 months ago @oddremarks12 International students -> Study to get permanent residence 1 eP02h50KIOA
2 years, 3 months ago @chrism5433 Unfortunately we don't have enough housing for the homeless. No more asylum and immigrants till housing and medical and roads are built .❤ 1 eP02h50KIOA
2 years, 3 months ago @mclancer My daughter graduated Physics BS in 2019, and of about 60 graduates, SHE WAS THE ONLY WHITE PERSON TO GRADUATE! Maybe too many international students, or maybe not enough Canadians. (Of course, some of the non-whites were Canadians also). 1 eP02h50KIOA
2 years, 3 months ago @cjc5478 what do you mean ? Of course there are too many students !!! there are people who already live here who need a place to live too !!! students are not adding to the economy when they are adding to the cost of housing and food for everyone else because that is money not available to be spent on anything else !!! Trudeau the BS environment guy didn't think about the impact of a million migrants every year ... 1 eP02h50KIOA
2 years, 3 months ago @bufford541 Forcing taxpayers to foot the bill to educate & house foreign students does nothing to benefit Canadians 1 eP02h50KIOA
2 years, 3 months ago @paulinemclean375 Short answer, yes. Need to reevaluate and take a breath. 0 eP02h50KIOA
2 years, 3 months ago @TomatoFettuccini Let's see: Canadian landlords are out of control, completely unleashed by governmental regulation, renovicting and jacking rents to insane levels, people can't afford what little existing housing there is, and our government insists on adding a million people a year to the population, with no good-paying jobs available for Canadians, never mind the imports.\n\nStart voting left, people, because in case it hasn't become blatantly obvious yet, the Liberals nor the Conservatives are not looking out for you. This is clearly an attempt to break the middle class and create a new serf class. 1 eP02h50KIOA
2 years, 3 months ago @jan8829 and ONE MILLION of Ukranis on burden is OK? 1 eP02h50KIOA
2 years, 3 months ago @dboizz colleges & universities are scamming these international students. most of them drop out, and the language barrier is insane. its sad. there has to be a cap. 0 eP02h50KIOA
2 years, 3 months ago @Tobyvan Too late. This country already look like Pakistan :/ 1 eP02h50KIOA
2 years, 3 months ago @ksh9037 Yes. The answer is yes 1 eP02h50KIOA
2 years, 3 months ago @followingthecorporations The issue here is that students that get permit to come to study but don’t end up studying, the problem with tourist without visa or with visa can come and are permitted to enter n stay for up to 6 months but once they are in, they overstay and break their tourism status or extend it but all along since the start they came to work and never to be a tourist , and probably Canada has it wrong KNOWINGLY OR BY “mistake” thinking they will get revenue from high fees on students and tourism but they get jack all 1 eP02h50KIOA
2 years, 3 months ago @tcroncero SHAME on the canadian government for putting the focus on international students!!! Done because they can blame the provincial governments and make people ignore that they changed visas to mexico, changed the refugee claimant laws, and increased exponentially the number of people entering and then waiting for a hearing on the asylum claim. As a landlord, here's the difference between international students and migrants: One has money and pays me rent monthly on time, while the other one sleeps in the park, or somewhere else, PAID by the government. The issue aren't the people entering and giving us their money, it's the new huge welfare class called migrants that is draining the system. 1 eP02h50KIOA
2 years, 3 months ago @gordb.2381 Can't comment no the call from a jewish UBC professor for Canada to sign on to SA genocide charge against Israel story, but in stead we can comment about immigration. Wonder what that is about? 0 eP02h50KIOA
2 years, 3 months ago @mikedodger7898 Great video, but one big problem is that more housing is needed that is AFFORDABLE. 0 eP02h50KIOA
2 years, 3 months ago @AdamtheGrey02 Don't forget chain migration. A family comes in and they want their much older parents and elderly grandparents to also come in who go straight on the stressed out medical system and take up more housing and rental units. 76 eP02h50KIOA
2 years, 3 months ago @harblewarble6427 The Peoples Republic of Canada has become a joke, just call it China II and be done with it. 0 eP02h50KIOA
2 years, 3 months ago @isadu9601 Do not forget who made a big car crash accident and killed our hocky boys not long ago, and other car accidents made by those illegal workers! The government is the responsible party for receiving them in our country, not because of short of house. 1 eP02h50KIOA
2 years, 3 months ago @jameshendrix8217 Its a total scam , I would argue most aren't interested in an education. Just a back door way for citizenship or PR. and the health care benifits. 1 eP02h50KIOA
2 years, 3 months ago @bushwacker5359 Canadian students first. 1 eP02h50KIOA
2 years, 3 months ago @gordiev8692 Yes. Way too many. Defund the CBC 1 eP02h50KIOA
2 years, 3 months ago @TundaNooda Liberal Party of Canada and New Democratic Party are destroying Canada and crushing families already here. It's on purpose. Think about it. 1 eP02h50KIOA
2 years, 3 months ago @nickchristoforou7850 Yes. That's how schools like the institution formerly known as Ryerson can afford to throw a few million to the city - not for mental health supports or housing, but for false virtue signaling endeavours like the renaming of Dundas Square and associated subway stations. 1 eP02h50KIOA
2 years, 3 months ago @DeeyaGarg I’m hearing there is a housing shortage whether more students come or not. The students earn the country a huge income. Subsidize home building via a tax on foreign student tuition. 1 eP02h50KIOA
2 years, 3 months ago @valeriebouchard2146 Why is CBC more specifically Andrew Chang suddenly highlighting all of Justin Trudeau’s wrongs since 2015 with these “about that” videos? What is actually coming? 0 eP02h50KIOA
2 years, 3 months ago @ardentenv Canadia ? 2 eP02h50KIOA
2 years, 3 months ago @mmmfloorpie I'm SO fed up with how these stories are framed.\n\nStep one: Say the students are the victim. Talk about all the good they do. How productive they are. How much money they bring. Say don't blame the students.\n\nNO ONE IS BLAMING THE STUDENTS!!!\n\nStep two: Make the reason we have to slow down study permits is because we can't provide for the students. We can't house them. \n\nWHY IS THAT OUR RESPONSIBILITY? Why do we have to provide for them? They aren't citizens. They aren't permanent residents. Them coming here is a PRIVELIGE. \n\n\nWhy can't the answer just be that we have to lower numbers because life is totally unaffordable for Canadians/PRs. As if that alone isn't a good enough reason. As if we should just accept lower standards of living because we have to take care of international students.\n\nSo sick of these narratives. 42 eP02h50KIOA
2 years, 3 months ago @natalierose7620 Hmmm…or how about this- the “institutions” that are admitting students from abroad PROVIDE housing for their students. Purchase land, stratify homes. 0 eP02h50KIOA
2 years, 3 months ago @patriciaherdman3087 Wow. Wonder how Canada's educational system survived before the universities decided they had to be money-making machines? 0 eP02h50KIOA
2 years, 3 months ago @TheCarajos The problem is 1nd1a only 1 eP02h50KIOA
2 years, 3 months ago @Canada.51st.State.of.America May God help those international students. I went to this prestigious university in Alberta for two degrees and learned absolutely nothing after 6 years. 0 eP02h50KIOA
2 years, 3 months ago @nomangreybeard535 At least the students pay their way. 1 eP02h50KIOA
2 years, 3 months ago @TallTheMoneyGuy Politicians are out of touch. It is crazy how they are just making policies without thinking about the long term consequences 0 eP02h50KIOA
2 years, 3 months ago @donot314 One of the worst situations happened a few ago in the town where I live. The local college accepted several international students. They built logging campstyle housing: Atco bunk trailers in the yard of a seniors' home. 3 eP02h50KIOA
2 years, 3 months ago @FunkyChild718 Toronto has SOOOOO many Indians now. It is absolutely flooded by them thanks to Trudeau's deals. 0 eP02h50KIOA
2 years, 3 months ago @handyman8764 Foreign students = immigrants? No one go back home upon graduation? Explain. 0 eP02h50KIOA
2 years, 3 months ago @TheSleepLes In the first place, our schools were created to teach our kids. As long as they receive/received taxpayer’s money -this is their obligation. Plus, everyone knows that foreign student visas are just a vehicle used to immigrate here. I know,I knew many visa students. 0 eP02h50KIOA
2 years, 3 months ago @claudelara7127 Canada is done. Trudeau is very naive, he will make canada look like France 1 eP02h50KIOA
2 years, 3 months ago @Seven.Heavenly.Sins.666 Weren't Canadians or their parents or grand parents immigrants at one point or another? 0 eP02h50KIOA
