2 years, 3 months ago @whz1991 let's be real, the real problems are the Indian students, who are poor and some are just working not studying, they are really fooling the immigration office when they apply for student visa. 1 eP02h50KIOA
2 years, 3 months ago @frankjones3508 My child graduated in computer science in 2021 and is still looking for a job in software development. Government policy allows Canadian companies to off shore their software development work and also allows for foreigners with IT experience to be fast tracked as permanent residence to Canada. It is gloomy for young Canadians, as our Govt- federal and Provincial- places more focus on businesses and profits about stability rather than orderliness in our society. 4 eP02h50KIOA
2 years, 3 months ago @IvanIvanov-vy7pt J.t is foreign himself. Why do you expect he is lying everytime he opens his mouth. 0 eP02h50KIOA
2 years, 3 months ago @tommorton5246 The most frustrating part is the media is so fast to get onboard blaming students. The housing shortage is NOT cause by international students. 2 eP02h50KIOA

2 years, 3 months ago @miketess3358 The federal government is so irresponsible. They let in thousands of people into the country, but don't even provide funding to cities to deal with the strain. Absolutely horrid governance and policy. 0 eP02h50KIOA
2 years, 3 months ago @miketess3358 The scary thing is that Canadians will still vote for Trudeau and the Liberals. 1 eP02h50KIOA
2 years, 3 months ago @miketess3358 Let's be real here. Intake of international students, refugees, and immigrants is too much and unsustainable. It has created incredible strain on the system. We all know it even if most don't say it out loud. There needs to be a drastic slow down or even stoppage of intake at least for a short while. 1 eP02h50KIOA
2 years, 3 months ago @TheMissingxtension So blame students for problems.... The minority for the most pervasive housing problem.... Correlation 0 eP02h50KIOA
2 years, 3 months ago @SunnyR-yi9te Justin T is worse PM of Canada . No homes , no hospital no schools only human . He need to resign 0 eP02h50KIOA
2 years, 3 months ago @bijaylekhak2820 Just after their education in canada, test their skills and bring them home asap if they failed..many students are going there to just make money 0 eP02h50KIOA
2 years, 3 months ago @rajitharajasooriya2574 I don't know why the media don't talk about the refugees that are being flooded into the country, who enjoy free tax money while International students pay 4-5 times higher fees than local students, and work for much lesser wages than others. Thankfully at least one media speaks for them. 0 eP02h50KIOA
2 years, 3 months ago @bubbajay1934 One has to assume that we have smart people behind the scenes that have been looking at this issues at length. They have either warned the government, and they ignored it, or there is something else at work. Perhaps the government KNOWS they will cause a housing crisis, and it's BY DESIGN!!! How many politicians out there own, or rent out their properties to gain income. This inflation will REALLY help their portfolio $$$. They are taking advantage of the crisis! If you spin it that way, their decisions all make sense. They do not care about Canadians at all, they only care about the already wealthy, protecting, or even gaining from the high inflation the KNEW WAS COMING. You have all been duped, and all politicians are in on it (red, blue, yellow and green!) 0 eP02h50KIOA
2 years, 3 months ago @alixloriston650 Is housing the main problem, why not encouraging baby boomers couples who are alone in their home to create income opportunities through rooms renting to foreign students 0 eP02h50KIOA
2 years, 3 months ago @sharinaross1865 Sounds like government and politics. 0 eP02h50KIOA
2 years, 3 months ago @paranoidandroid34 Ontario is literally fyre festival ? 0 eP02h50KIOA
2 years, 3 months ago @turnleft8645 Just remember - students aren't the problem here, most are hardworking youth. It's Canada that needs to ramp up to accommodate this or find a path that leads to it doing so. Canada wants to achieve a population of 100 million by 2100, but they need to also have a strategy and implementation strategy to get there and not just a goal. 1 eP02h50KIOA
2 years, 3 months ago @Azure.Skies. I live in an area that cannot support the amount of students here. We have a housing crisis and I haven't found a job in 2 years! 0 eP02h50KIOA
2 years, 3 months ago @frednunziata5 so what if instead of sending them to over populated majors cities.... when they immigrate, they go to under populated areas...... to help build that economy up and build that part of Canada up. build schools and grow them in places where we would like development to happen. 11k of people to a under developed area that needs a economy boots / help will go along way and give the major populated areas time to grow their infrastructure to eventually allow larger immigration to happen thus growing population and economy even further. just a idea from a citizen who doesn't matter nor does his opinion. the smart people are the ones in charge allowing this situation to unfold. they are the smart ones 0 eP02h50KIOA
2 years, 3 months ago @IRBry housing issue? let’s immigrate more! doctor shortage? immigrate more!! 0 eP02h50KIOA

2 years, 3 months ago @warpath7985 These government officials need to stop pretending that ALL international students are victims here. Let me be clear, yes some are, BUT, A LOT of them commit fraud to come here and other different countries. I used to think all international students were rich when I moved here, as tuition for them can be 3 to 4 times more expensive. Then I started realising how wrong I was, with so many that can't afford food, housing stc. Then I heard about the loan scam, where potential students would borrow money from essential loan sharks to prove they have the minimum amount to qualify for a student visa, get accepted then give the money back, paying back a fee of course. If this is a widely known thing, the government DEFINITELY knows about it too 0 eP02h50KIOA

2 years, 3 months ago @douglaspeters68 The rate that immigrants are let into the country should be half of the number of homes that are built that year. Want to let more immigrants in to boost Economy? Built more homes. 0 eP02h50KIOA

2 years, 3 months ago @Starryface681 The amount of South Asian students being admitted are sky high compared to other immigrants. Wondering what factors are at play to explain this outcome, and how other individuals from different countries are not being given the same amount of attention or opportunities. 2 eP02h50KIOA
2 years, 3 months ago @gimmybhullar574 So todays news they said the are putting a cap on the students but they should also put a cap on immigration, maybe like 300,000 per year or less. 0 eP02h50KIOA

2 years, 3 months ago @peebles6768 I feel like immigration needs to have a cap too 0 eP02h50KIOA
2 years, 3 months ago @aidanw9378 The ironic thing about the government calling for more housing to be built is the fact that they're the primary culprit for why its not getting built. I was speaking recently with a developer for a large development company in Vancouver area, and he made it very clear that their government instituted fees and restrictions and unreasonable requirements have made it almost impossible for them to pursue anything but the most surefire projects. The overhead costs are just way too high. And this of course translates into housing prices. So you want to look at why housing is so expensive, especially new housing? Take a look at your local, provincial and federal governments first. 1 eP02h50KIOA
2 years, 3 months ago @coolvania Canada’s perversely high population growth continues to worsen our social cohesion, cost of living, education, healthcare, traffic safety, crime, pollution, natural ecosystems, and the list goes on. Why the IRCC and the federal government insist on increasing the numbers, despite a lack of support from the populace, baffles me and many Canadians I’ve talked to! Many are planning on or have already moved to the U.S. 0 eP02h50KIOA

2 years, 3 months ago @NotSsteVven828 Good at the end of the day, we don’t need to defund things like police, what we need is to defund school. At this point, it’s a useless system that’s been overdated. It’s does absolutely nothing for the Canadian and the Canadian working class, and just gives international student a free pass to a PR statue. Which doesn’t nothing but take up resources. At fanshew college it’s basically a place with a bunch of immigrants using it as a holding cell till they meet the requirement and what’s funny is that all fanshew Programs and degree only take not even haft of the minimum effort to pass and get a diploma. So now we are recruiting a bunch of immigrant who are gonna rely things like our society infrastructure which ends up taking away resources for people that actually contribute to this country. IMO it’s a bit of both to blame but Canada need to step there foot down and say enough is enough, I got took advantage but not anymore. I not blame the international student as the fault is the government but at some point I gonna be like can you stop abusing the system students. 1 eP02h50KIOA
