2 years, 2 months ago @alighieri1393 How many of those students from Asia are actually paying and not on full scholarships unavailable to native locals? 0 eP02h50KIOA
2 years, 2 months ago @mujkocka Problem is these sham universities. They are con institutions and con poor people $. Let’s stop them, there will be less such international students who won’t end up without a quality education 0 eP02h50KIOA
2 years, 2 months ago @mujkocka Wow 60k$. I was paying 14k$ Australian at one of the top uni per year as an international student 30yrs ago. Our fee built a new campus. I did work the full legal amount possible. I could only make almost enough to pay for my tuition. And wages has not doubled in 30 years. But US is paying 30k a year even for local. They do come to Canada for education too 0 eP02h50KIOA
2 years, 2 months ago @Gabrie177 Most Canadian Colleges are Immigration Factories producing Mediocre degrees. Gotcha??? 3 eP02h50KIOA
2 years, 2 months ago @proudguy Too many foreign students. Too many immigrants. Canadian Engineers are selling plumbing supplies at Home Depot. Trudeau is a garbage PM. 1 eP02h50KIOA
2 years, 2 months ago @ceydaerenkol8176 Toronto’s demographics structure changed dramatically with in especially last 5 years. And it looks like we are not allowed to talk about this. Government says they are welcoming international students from all around the world but 35% is from India. If we add other type of visas percentage goes even higher. Why ? I moved to Canada to live in multi cultural country. Is there anybody in government talk about this subject possible issues in the future? 3 eP02h50KIOA
2 years, 2 months ago @john-p1n6l they also clean out local food banks not cool 3 eP02h50KIOA
2 years, 2 months ago @acquirecurrencylol The problem is not the immigration AT ALL. The ACTUAL problem is the lack of societal integration: if these people do not learn our customs, laws, traditions, values and societal norms there will only be an increasing number of issues that will get more severe as time goes on. 17 eP02h50KIOA
2 years, 2 months ago @MJBrown901 This is the same problem as fire island. No one is checking on the infrastructure required for so many people 0 eP02h50KIOA
2 years, 2 months ago @shubashuba9209 Isn't it usually the government's fault for impeding new housing projects? The free market would have responded to the increase in housing demand rapidly without the bureaucracy. Of course, although I say free market, building codes, safety regulations, and sustainability should still be followed. But the bottleneck to more housing is usually government control/special interest groups, and not engineering challenges, which have mostly been solved. 0 eP02h50KIOA
2 years, 2 months ago @QreasWisky this country has way too many problems in housing, schools, military and immigration idk how they're going to fix this because we keep feeding them money 1 eP02h50KIOA
2 years, 2 months ago @vish7x I am an international student from India doing bachelor’s here and I completely agree with the fact that they need to slow it down just for the sake of citizens. Tbh, even we are having hard time here just because of the number of international students they’ve invited in the past few years. Personally, I never thought of having a citizenship here but now it’s just so hard even for survival. 3 eP02h50KIOA
2 years, 2 months ago @A..K420 I'm a vfx student completed my UG in 2023 Aug I have decided to study PG in Canada back in 2019 itself (as Canada is the largest hub for vfx industry) but gradually things are getting worse in Canada and now it affected my career because going to Canada is a very imp thing to me because courses that vfx courses that are in Canada are industry standard. I want to improve my skillset but the things are working against me ? 0 eP02h50KIOA
2 years, 2 months ago @HT-zk6up They’re not international students. They’re ccp spies 2 eP02h50KIOA
2 years, 2 months ago @asdf4898 Instead of hiring students, why not hire skilled workers? Like nurses, engineers and IT people. 8 eP02h50KIOA
2 years, 2 months ago @MrDuncaroos JT screaming going to build more homes faster, means home quality will drop and in 2030's the problem will be home issues (potentially structural) 0 eP02h50KIOA
2 years, 2 months ago @Mattiedamacdaddy Wow the CBC echo chamber is talking about a no-no subject 0 eP02h50KIOA
2 years, 2 months ago @fly2724 Immigration without housing ? 0 eP02h50KIOA
2 years, 2 months ago @Indoman_71 Welcome to CANINDIA.\nSamosas and chai are not complimentary.\nCHI-CHINNG!\nThankyou. Come again. 0 eP02h50KIOA
2 years, 2 months ago @masterjustin965 It is a shame that Canada counts so much on the international student tuitions to contribute on the economy, that is also lead to the poor quality of teaching, not just houses crisis. It is so bad most colleges enrolled so many students but provide limited experienced professor, shame on Canada! 0 eP02h50KIOA
2 years, 2 months ago @crystalfulford Why didn’t they send the white guy out with some shabby clothes, because white ppl are discriminated against if we appear lower class. Anyone who looks like bob from the suburbs who owns a full size suv and mows his lawn for fun is gonna get respect, but put him in a hoodie sweater, or even worse, put a cigarette in his lips, and see how fast he’s treated like dirt. Wrong narrative again fifth estate ? always slightly off 1 WjmDwWUhEpg
2 years, 2 months ago @majesticpoutine Yes. It drove up the price of housing and rent. Canada should always have primary focus on its citizens and permanent residents. Definitely not allowing people to own dozens of property. I know a Chinese foreigner who owns 26 houses and 14 apartments, all renting out. 0 eP02h50KIOA
2 years, 2 months ago @Mikethemang it is too much. 0 eP02h50KIOA
2 years, 2 months ago @CreamBootlegs I've been talking about this problem before it was a problem back in 2015 1 eP02h50KIOA
2 years, 2 months ago @jumpman0079 Conservatives have been saying this for years, not that immigration is bad but rather that too much is problematic... Took a crisis to address it... 10 eP02h50KIOA
2 years, 2 months ago @funhouse90210 The problem is much bigger than just international students coming in. How terribly the government handled the pandemic is the main issue in our economy, they completely stopped the economy and now we’re paying for those mistakes. 0 eP02h50KIOA
2 years, 2 months ago @georgek2499 Colleges ran out of local students to scam so they peddle their products abroad. 2 eP02h50KIOA
2 years, 2 months ago @donaldtrumpbhaisahab2200 Lol 0 eP02h50KIOA
2 years, 2 months ago @jimhalpert0 As a Canadian born from immigrant parents, Canada does need immigrants from time to time. However, there needs to be a limit! Especially immigrants from less developed countries like India from where the immigrants who come here do not adhere to the culture and laws of Canada. 32 eP02h50KIOA
2 years, 2 months ago @Mooseracks Who gets paid..? A COUPLE OF THOUGHTS.... Lets say you have 500k spaces for international students...each space is worth..hmmm 10k NOW this government is saying that they are capping the number of international students...these international students MIGHT GET INTO A BIDING WAR over those 500k available spaces.... SECOND thought....So, you have a cap on say 500k international students...MY PREDICTION...trudoo's government will RE-BRAND OR RE-DEFINE those individuals in excess of that 500k cap. FOR AN EXAMPLE...lets call them fugitives, extremists, asylum seekers, refugees...etc WHY WOULD YOU TRUST THAT THIS GOVERNMENT IS TELLING YOU THE TRUTH... SOMETHING REALLY STINKY ABOUT THIS PLAN OF TRUDOO'S.... 0 eP02h50KIOA
2 years, 2 months ago @ShihTzu_Puppies No let more in! I live next to rooming house with 12 Indian guys. Its magical. 0 eP02h50KIOA
2 years, 2 months ago @harryzhang3111 9:54 If more tourist come, build more hotel instead to turn them awsy to USA. Same spplies to students. They create jobs and pay much higher fees. Just enlarge college and build more house. 9:27 0 eP02h50KIOA
2 years, 2 months ago @fahadh5548 I am a recent immigrant, and I feel sorry for the locals there lol 2 eP02h50KIOA
2 years, 2 months ago @Millionaire0576 Canada will be the next Asia if they don’t slow the immigration intake. 2 eP02h50KIOA
2 years, 2 months ago @emptyhad It took until 1997 to abolish the last residential school. Let that sink in. 0 7GmX5stT9rU
2 years, 2 months ago @kasagh1 for sure canada has to and really must cut the unrealistique husge flow of international students .to canada while the ccountry is in this miserable economique mess 1 eP02h50KIOA
2 years, 2 months ago @gabriellef3351 Hearing a lot of ignorance in the comments. 0 eP02h50KIOA
2 years, 2 months ago @RadicalFloat_95 This video is actually genuinely underated 2 eP02h50KIOA
2 years, 2 months ago @NightWolf-rp3xs Yes, they are accepting way too many immigrants. It's making life difficult for everyone. ? 1 eP02h50KIOA
2 years, 2 months ago @germanp4784 why this useless liberal government caps the entrance of refugees, like ukrainians get 3,000 as soon as they arrive in support, paid by us tax payers, instead keep the intl students coming with their money and ban gaza, syrian and ukrainian refugees for god sake, trudeau is the worst that ever happened to canada 1 eP02h50KIOA
2 years, 2 months ago @WildMoeChronicles As a citizen trying to achieve admissions to complete a DVM in Canada, this is a required problem worth discussion. The country is in a deficit for veterinarians but one of the largest schools in Canada, OVC has increased their international admissions over domestic significantly. We need support for domestic students to increase before international students to ensure service to Canadian communities, especially rural Canadian places. 13 eP02h50KIOA
2 years, 2 months ago @raviv3398 Question should be: Is Canadian post secondary education system is big scam? 0 eP02h50KIOA
2 years, 2 months ago @yesteryearr I love this series, Andrew Chang always bringing up the topics we need to be talking about! 3 eP02h50KIOA
2 years, 2 months ago @christopherhuddart8960 The British government just said they are only looking for pilots who are non-white. The US airlines are also looking for non-white pilots. That IS racisim. 1 WjmDwWUhEpg
2 years, 2 months ago @Z1TFRIT And the fastest inflation happening due to these students 0 eP02h50KIOA
2 years, 2 months ago @notyourbestie Again I never heard of the solution DORMSSSSSS! Canada dont need too many small colleges, just few in strategic areas where everyone will have access. These schools, they can accept international student but!!! They should have capacity to accommodate like having a dorrrmmmmm for the school. Im mad about this bc in SKorea, where I exchage, they have dorms, here in Canada, you have to find it yourself. We also get our food in the cafeteria which is healthier and have mang options. That 2 alone are solutions itself. You have your money, you refrain us from affecting your inflation so much, we are comfortable and safe and can build better community and many new friends while studying here. The rent could also be used by the schools for scholarship to locals than the rent going to the hands of greedy real estate investors. And now the Canadians are blaming us alone for the housing market? Blame the greedy government and schools! 1 eP02h50KIOA
2 years, 2 months ago @MishaDaBear Different focus, are the international students displacing Canadian applicants in the programs that the higher education institution offers? 1 eP02h50KIOA
2 years, 2 months ago @unimpressedcat2140 I don’t mind the amount to be honest. What I do mind is the fact that they’re settling in cities and they’re all from the worst part of only one country. 0 eP02h50KIOA
2 years, 2 months ago @ericloo6576 It's too expensive to study in the USA and UK for most international students nowadays. 0 eP02h50KIOA
2 years, 2 months ago @MayorSom Canadian Geography. Canada is the second-biggest country on earth, yet over 80 per cent of its land is uninhabited. Perhaps these intl students can stay and regenerate new areas 0 eP02h50KIOA
