1 year, 6 months ago @kristinavb4398 Canada cost of living and sky rocket taxes vs. salary range and big time unemployment is proof of people scamming 0 ZvSNcnG2eqY
1 year, 6 months ago @underated17 What the heck? That first home is beautiful. I love old homes with brick and mature trees. Look at classy places they have older homes. I wouldn’t want a mansion. I don’t care about the cold look and cleaning so much. I have a backsplit it’s my family home I grew up in. 0 ZvSNcnG2eqY

1 year, 6 months ago @Rocketmanbrother Research from the University of Alberta, along with various other studies, suggests that immigration generally has no significant impact on housing prices. However, the high cost of labor and construction has discouraged many companies from building new homes. Additionally, rapid housing development could potentially affect millions of Canadian homeowners, as many have made real estate their primary investment. Despite these concerns, I believe increasing housing construction is necessary to alleviate the housing crisis and reduce the pressure it places on so many people in Canada. 1 ZvSNcnG2eqY

1 year, 6 months ago @chimmy___ This is what happens to countries that turn away from Biblical values.\nYou end up with a government that has been infiltrated by those who want to destroy you.\nThis is only one of many crises and only the beginning for Canada and many other countries.\n\nSolution: We need to turn back to The God of The Bible. 2 ZvSNcnG2eqY
1 year, 6 months ago @Farooq.Parsa315 Still canada isbthe best country in the world. Strong democracy more than the US or any European countries. We believe to the system and we will be better. 0 ZvSNcnG2eqY

1 year, 6 months ago @mavourneenworobec1852 There’s an old saying “Be careful what you WISH for, because you just might GET IT”… Looks like Canada’s saying (for the last 2 elections) could now be “ Be careful who you VOTE for, because you just might GET HIM/or HER”… and end up in this TOTAL MESS we now have… 0 ZvSNcnG2eqY

1 year, 6 months ago @GadnokBreakerofWorlds Canada is a failed state. If I'll never afford to retire, why not retire poor now? My company fired us all and gave the jobs to south america where they pay them $4/hour 0 ZvSNcnG2eqY
1 year, 6 months ago @gasparocelloman9852 It’s exactly the same in Australia, and has been getting progressively worse under both left and right leaning governments. The conservative government was a disaster for housing/cost of living and the liberals haven’t been much better. The vast majority of elected legislators here are relatively wealthy landlords with substantial investment property portfolios. It’s not in their interests to fix the housing crisis. They also vote themselves huge salaries and regular pay rises. They are relatively immune to the cost of living crisis. Australian food banks and similar charities are overwhelmed. We have two main supermarket chains, Coles & Woolworths. They both perpetuate rampant price gouging with abandon. Big corporations, especially international ones, pay very little to no tax. This is happening all over the world under governments of every stripe. 0 ZvSNcnG2eqY
1 year, 6 months ago @daves3108 I'll add some context to our government. Prime minister harper who was an economics major I believe started saying no to the aboriginal peoples stopped catering to them. During the election it was a collective that all natives would vote ndp and the liberals were second last only behind the green party. Getting closer to the election Trudeau promised if elected to legalize marijuana and fund more efforts towards missing indigenous women ( that's a whole other story in itself). Trudeau won a majority government. They won't admit it but alot of blue collar people voted for Trudeau because of the legalization of weed. Fast forward immigration grew and new immigrants were strategically placed in certain cities and areas to vote for the liberals. The next election Trudeau lost the popular vote but won based on Canada's version of the electoral college. This time around I don't think he can win I've heard very very few people in this country say they want him so in a year things may get better or the damage is done. 0 ZvSNcnG2eqY

1 year, 6 months ago @nascarvintage17 frankly it's totally shame I will never understand in my lifetime how there have never been rent caps or some kind of rules where it would be forbidden to rent an apartment for more than $1,000. Landlords are jerks too; they play the 'yes, we’re forced to raise the rent' card, but in reality, they don’t necessarily have to. They’re not always obligated to raise rent from $1,000 to $2,500. Honestly, do our leaders not think that one day people are going to come after them out of anger because their lives are ruined because of them? Do they not think about that? 0 ZvSNcnG2eqY
1 year, 6 months ago @nascarvintage17 However, I can guarantee you that this is false. Many people want to live in Canada, and as French citizens, many of us want to move to Canada. But obviously, as a French and white person, I doubt they let us in as easily as they do Black Africans, Syrians, or Palestinians. I really feel that if you’re African or Muslim, doors are open to you everywhere in the world, especially in North America. But if you’re white, well, they put obstacles in your way to prevent you from coming. I really feel that, and I see it every day, in fact. 1 ZvSNcnG2eqY

1 year, 6 months ago @pauljones8911 It’s happening in Australia also it’s getting very sad I think we will be the future refugees like the Irish escaping the potato famine we will have to travel to more affordable countries especially to retire, Is it worth fighting for your country anymore just to end up on the homeless scrap heap. 0 ZvSNcnG2eqY
1 year, 6 months ago @johnharris2337 Sadly home ownership is unaffordable in most Western countries, Australia, the Uk , Europe is the same despite a varied number of governments from the Left and Right. Canada does not stand out alone. 0 ZvSNcnG2eqY
1 year, 6 months ago @Lynnn-zy Is canada monopoly? Lol 0 ZvSNcnG2eqY
1 year, 6 months ago @Damremont18 One of the biggest problems is our immigration numbers which are waaay too high. You’d think that the Minister of immigration would talk to the Minister of Housing, advising that we have no housing for new Canadians and foreign students, but apparently not. 0 ZvSNcnG2eqY
1 year, 6 months ago @ZahidTekbas I live with 70% inflation in my country and this is what I think: \n\nI don't know if there is a direct translation of this economic model but let me explain: prices increases in two ways, if there is not enough supply, prices will increase and if there is high demand for a product&service, prices will increase. In Turkey, they increase the prices by tricking people that prices will eventually increase, so buy it right now. THIS caused a loop and huge inflation also rush to houses, cars, hard products etc. That way, companies make enormous profits especially construction companies & car manufacturers. Why did government decide to do that so? Because government wanted to secure financial status of these big companies without banks giving them loans by transferring wealth from people to companies.\n\nThere is another side for these moves: Globally, there is an ongoing plan to lower birthrate in well-developed countries such as Canada, France, Germany etc. Why is that? They say, people from western countries create more carbon emissions than people in India, Bangladesh etc and in order to ensure green transformation of energy, birthrate must(?) fall. \n\nThere are also other reasons that we live in difficult times. But that's enough. We, people, have to do something. The day passes without a protest, governments & big companies get more strength and enforces hard conditions on people. 0 ZvSNcnG2eqY
1 year, 6 months ago @user-mi6pq2uu9s That is why the brain drain is inevitable in Canada. In monopolies people do not stay! 0 ZvSNcnG2eqY
