It's a Political problem. The last governments have quietly opened up immigration without providing infrastructure to support them. Taxpayers dollars have been dolled out for new immigrant's housing and living. In 10 years they’ve been in power they created tones of new citizens to vote for them. I’m a first generation immigrant. The selection process for us was extremely hard. We were well educated professionals with university degrees, healthy (checked), had to provide funds allowing us to live for at least 6 months without any support from welfare organizations, no OHIP for 3 months. Why has this system been changed? How do all these people without education, money or skills coming here? Why our country is flooded with illegal immigrants? I love Canada dearly. It’s my home now. I've called this country my home for the last 40yrs and wouldn't want to live anywhere else. We live by the rules and laws of this Country as all other immigrant SHOULD. I hated it just as much when new immigrants come and try to impose their culture and way of life on us then complain when they meet resistance. 7 months, 1 week ago MasterCJ117 My family immigrated during the war, my grandmother came here after escaping a concentration camp when she was a little girl, her and my mother taught me to appreciate what we have, because it was worked hard for, they worked hard to make a living and a future for their families, they were given money by family that was here and paid back every, single, cent, it wasn't just given to them for free by the government while the rest of the people here suffer, so many of the people are brought here and given everything, it's like people have never heard the phrase "Give a man to fish, he eats for a day. Teach a man to fish, he eats for life." the problem is that they keep giving them fish, so now they expect it so much they damn near demand it... it sickens me. I'm a student right now, 15 years ago it felt like I lived in my home, proudly in Canada, with all kinds of people... now, I go to class, and I feel like I live on a different planet, everyone looks the same, with a hint of variety... N when ever they speak with their country people they speak in their native tongue. Not all immigrants r bad, its govenment issue not people. Dont blame my people, they put application paid fee and also paid GIC of 20K plus college fee of 20k+. I know some people can be bad, thats where government should make law implementation better. Plus, no immigrant expected the job crisis tht exist, so whatever job to atleast save some amount rather than hitting the savings, we take. I have adapted the culture, I live my life peacefully without bothering anyone. If there's any religious activity, govt should contact groups and work out ways to celebrate festivals. I have culture from birth country in addition I added Canadian culture. The blend is good, and can be attained if govt make proper planning. 1 OERqtxI7nf0
