It terrifies me, the amount of random mass killings, serial killers etc. Also I have A LOT of health issues, it would bankrupt us. Tyler needs to visit Canada, to fully grasp what Canada is and how we are as a people. The big cities seem to be having more gun violence which shocks most of us. 39 O0gJtVar7_E
2 years, 11 months ago @mikael100100 hello, Canadian here. i believe that ( personally ) if Canada had the same freedom for weapons as the USA, things wouldn't go as bad as the USA. or wouldn't change at all. the main problem, which americans at large still refuses to admit it seems, or at least the loudest ones, is that it's a culture problem, not a gun problem. the whole of USA culturally is kinda rotten with way more chances for someone to just crack and go nuts, or commit a shitty act out of desperation, anything. while in Canada, we have people and gorups to help take care of this. we do not bankrupt people by making them seek help at hospital, and so on. the whole socio-economic of the USA is to blame for this. \n\nin my humble, basement dwelling person opinion as someone who thought about this subject for a while. 1 O0gJtVar7_E

For instance I have always had cats, at this moment I have three cats who are my pride and joy, two of them even go out for walks with me in a pet stroller and even came with me yesterday to the Scottish festival in my neighbourhood and the problem with moving to the US is Landlords can tell you that you have to get rid of your pets were here in Canada, in my part of Canada anyway it is going against your rights to tell you you can’t have your pet and there is no way in hell I would get rid of my cats they are my family and my only family so because of that I would not move to the United States 3 O0gJtVar7_E

Too much so, if you ask me. We could do with more morals in Canada, as we've become very hedonistic and selfish under Trudeau's eoke socialism. I'm not a fan of American gun culture or the extreme political polarization. However, I do admire the fact that free speech seems valued more highly in the US. Also, Canada is over-regulated and over-taxed. Unfortunately, there's a large class of freeloaders in Canada as a result. 0 O0gJtVar7_E

2 years, 11 months ago @susanrobertson984 I don’t even want to visit. I was at a conference in Milwaukee and the security guards were there to keep the homeless and beggars out of the halls. I mean - a block away from the fancy building it was a wasteland. So sad. The inequality leads to more crime and there are so maaaany guns. Then there is health care. 2 years, 11 months ago @georgettesavoie1451 You enumerate conditions to be ok in the USA, for ex live in the city, live in a secure part of the city or of the country… have a job and you’re ok for healthcare which in the end is still expensive and does not even cover. everything. Safety \n\n2. Racism\n\n3. Women's reproductive rights\n\n4. Health care costs\n\n5. Natural disasters- too many areas with things like hurricanes, tornadoes, earthquakes, etc. Even snow, there are areas in the states like Michigan and Minnesota that get worse snow than we do here in Toronto being situated along lake Ontario \n\n6. 2 years, 11 months ago @scds1082 I spent a lot of time in the States as a child, mostly in the Los Angeles and Seattle areas. It was fun on the beach, going to Disneyland and it was nice staying with relatives and swimming in their pool everyday in the summer. However, I am Canadian and my heart belongs to Canada. Despite the fact that we as a nation do have our imperfections and problems, I am loyal to my country and want to contribute whatever I can to this place. Plus of course, there are the myriad aspects of life in the US mentioned in the video that I wouldn't be able to tolerate: lack of reproductive rights, attacks on the LGBTQ community, lack of safety/gun violence, no universal health care etc. 95 O0gJtVar7_E

I'll just comment on one fact. As a young, white, childless male, I doubt you would be affected by most of the reasons people who visit and know the US here in Canada would think of. Most of my friends are in the US and I livestream with them 5 nights a week, and every time a ma ss shooting is reported, we hear about it and suffer along with you too. \n\nFACT: The number ONE cause of death for children and teens in the US is Firearm related, so gun deaths. Yes it's true, and there isn't a single friend of mine who isn't scared to express an opinion, or send their kids and grandkids to school or Uni. wherever they live in the US. Statistically speaking, almost every citizen in the US is going to know someone who is un-alived by gun violence. We have strict gun laws here, and I wouldn't trade that for anything. 29 O0gJtVar7_E

Coming back to Canada we enjoyed nothing but expense, no rights, a lot of restrictions and now it's becoming like communist China. Love it or hate it America is the last place on earth that has real rights backed up by a real constitution. And you can enjoy any locale not just a few mile strip across the Canadian wet, frozen or scorching nation. People that think the US is bad are deluded and probably leftist, anti-Trumpers, think that the Canadian health care system is free and you have a choice. 1 O0gJtVar7_E
