2 years, 8 months ago @adrianmcgrath1984 In a Canadian emergency room you are asked for your healthcare number - which is often on your drivers licence. This gives the hospital access to all your medical records. \nThey also assess you, your wait is then dependent on your need and how busy they are. Emergency situations will see the patient receiving care right away 40 zJycj8c73sQ
2 years, 8 months ago @debbiew7496 These discussions always make me wonder if it is that Americans think locally (everything is good in my town), whereas Canadians think nationally - the government should ensure similar standards for all citizens under its flag. There are fewer desperate people under the Canadian system, which reduces crime and the need for so many police. 29 zJycj8c73sQ
2 years, 8 months ago @adrianmcgrath1984 If you are lucky enough to have a job in the US with a good health plan, you are trapped - and bosses know it. Even if you find another job with the same healthcare, you will likely need to work there for several months or a year until benefits kick in. \nEven if you have a family without many health problems, do you gamble and go for months without coverage in the hope that nothing goes wrong? 4 zJycj8c73sQ
2 years, 8 months ago @pattaccone 8:26 last time I was in the US , I got a case of beer and bottle of vodka for less than just the beer in Canada. It was a 60 pounder too. 0 zJycj8c73sQ
2 years, 8 months ago @judywhaley5092 PLEASE....move to the UNITED STATES , not move to America. 0 zJycj8c73sQ

2 years, 8 months ago @peterzimmer9549 As far as I know, upstate New York is not New York City 5 zJycj8c73sQ
2 years, 8 months ago @Butterflies-are-free ?? Canadian here…. I had 4 children….never had to pay a cent for their births…. I love Canada ?? 112 zJycj8c73sQ
2 years, 8 months ago @peterzimmer9549 You can’t live outside Canada for more than six months or your health care will expire. 2 zJycj8c73sQ
2 years, 8 months ago @lucylin1999 I think greed is the main reason for the problems in the USA. Canadian doctors don’t make the, only American doctors do. But the are very comfortable and happy. Big pharma gouges the America people. Not fair. You shouldn’t have to make a choice of paying groceries or brining your child to a doctor. Can that be the reason for their state of mind. They see the upper class living in huge beautiful homes and drive big luxury cars and they are stuck in their poor area. Not fair. Maybe things need to change at the top. 1 zJycj8c73sQ
2 years, 8 months ago @tanyaoneil-urquhart5141 I’ve had 4 children, living in Canada it hasn’t cost us a cent. That’s the way it should be. 6 zJycj8c73sQ
2 years, 8 months ago @theravyshow2570 Many people in Canada don't have to pay ANYTHING to give birth in a hospital. I don't like the guns in the states at all. 0 zJycj8c73sQ
2 years, 8 months ago @natashac.m.8088 I couldn't believe how rude people were down near Seattle They wrote go back to Canada in the dirt on my tailgate. Seriously? So so rude. 0 zJycj8c73sQ
2 years, 8 months ago @bobmarlenelewis2303 People have just become toooo intolerant……..both sides of the border ???? 1 zJycj8c73sQ
2 years, 8 months ago @kassiewaters5912 I find it funny and sad that the politicians fighting for universal Healthcare in the U.S. are labeled far left, communists and socialists. I watch American media talk about universal Healthcare like its some weird imaginary concept. \n\nWe got politicians here undermining our universal Healthcare. They drain as much funding as possible, leaving our hospitals struggling to keep up, then they sit back and let the media push the narrative that our system is failing and we need to privatize. It's depressing because some Canadians are falling for it and it's a real possibility that we might not have it if our citizens don't stand up for it. 0 zJycj8c73sQ
2 years, 8 months ago @randomreynolds94 Heard on average it cost around $25000 just to have a child in the US. NO thank you going into debt just to have a kid. Here in Canada free no matter what. Also rather be free then availability. I dont rush to the hospital because of minor sickness like everyone else here does then complains about the wait times. Also dont put myself in dangerous situations to get myself hurt. Some people are so scared about death or wanting attention just go to the hospital for the dumbest reasons. Had someone on my facebook say they had a flu and had been waiting 6 hours in emerg then whined about it. I told them to go home and stop abusing our system thats the reason for wait times. The amount of people that were supposably so sick during covid that they were willing to leave the house and potentially spread their sickness to others just to get told they were sick and to rest. We as people are actually retarded. Any way to get off work and get tested for covid just so you can tell people you have covid like really people. Also not true about weather there are like 7 to 8 states that are way colder then us right now and over the winter then us here in Southern ontario. Maine, Montana, colorado, washington state usually are way colder during winter months and also get alot more snow. Its crazy how we have a sterotype here which yes is true but not for a majority of Canadians. More Americans live in Colder areas combined then Canadians in all of Canada. Meaning more cold Americans then cold Canadians how ironic. 2 zJycj8c73sQ
2 years, 8 months ago @danceswithcritters USA is one giant shopping mall, If you have money, you\\re good, if you don't , you're screwed. Capitalism to the extreme. 0 zJycj8c73sQ
2 years, 8 months ago @myriam7074 You say you can raise a loving normal family and live a happy life in the USA but no Canadian in their right mind would bring or want to raise kids there because of how many school shootings there are… it’s just absurd. In Canada this is un heard of and would never ever cross our minds as something that could happen to your child. 64 zJycj8c73sQ

2 years, 8 months ago @mariearrington3591 Moved to Long Beach, Cali and lasted 1 year. Within the first month there was a murder on the block and I was sexually assaulted. \nNever again would I live there, I have since visited but reside, nope 13 zJycj8c73sQ
2 years, 8 months ago @theguest4516 I am a very proud ?? and would never willing live in the US. Sorry but, it's true. Take care and have fun!!! ??? 6 zJycj8c73sQ
2 years, 8 months ago @drprogensteinphp I'm sure the woman who got pregnant in the USA was not only referencing healthcare, but maternity leave, which can be as long as 18 months in Canada.\n\nSo far as Healthcare quality is concerned? Having lived in both the US and Canada, I would say our Healthcare professionals are on par with one another. There is no real difference between the quality of care you will receive in Canada versus the USA. The doctors and Healthcare professionals are equally competent and very well trained. 22 zJycj8c73sQ
2 years, 8 months ago @ProudCanadianartist I have to make a comment about the weather being “warmer” in the USA ? Lol I think it’s a bit silly as both countries are huge and have very diverse weather . Plus just because the USA is south of Canada it does NOT mean it’s warmer . For example in the winter , here in British Columbia Canada, in the southern parts , we SELDOM get snow or indeed the cold temps that MOST of the USA receives . In New York City there are huge snow storms and icy temps every winter yet it’s far south compared to our location . Generalisations are ridiculous …? 12 zJycj8c73sQ
2 years, 8 months ago @glennstach4439 Canada DOES NOT have lower quality Healthcare !!! ????✌??????? 30 zJycj8c73sQ
2 years, 8 months ago @BrianFlewwelling Canada has a 12 month maternity leave for new parents. Mom or dad get to stay home with their new baby. There is no charge for anyone to give birth. 8 zJycj8c73sQ
2 years, 8 months ago @marshabailey1121 Not just health care..(nice to be privileged)....EDUCATION. The USA lags FAR behind Canada. Hate to break it to you, Ty, but crime rates are MUCH lower in Canadian cities. DumbF would NEVER be allowed to run for office here. 6 zJycj8c73sQ
2 years, 8 months ago @perrycomeau2627 I like the musical RENT 0 zJycj8c73sQ
2 years, 8 months ago @shelleyhender8537 Hi Tyler ~ As this is a “younger” demographic…I was wondering if you could do a comparison with an older demographic - such as the who go to Florida and Arizona, as well as, a few other places, such as Palm Springs during the colder months. If they happen to be there for Christmas ~ CANUCKS (what Canadians refer to another Canadian) usually gather, close a few blocks of the neighbourhood and have Christmas dinner, then there’s Bonfire Night with fireworks in November (for the NEWFOUNDLANDERS that go to Florida), New Years celebrations is another. I could go on, as I have family that live 3/4 of the year in Canada and go to their southern homes for 3-4 max months of the winter. It would definitely be interesting on their perspective, as they can travel and interact with all demographics of society…including the police…as well as, their experiences with ** in the USA!\n\nCheers??☺?? 0 zJycj8c73sQ
2 years, 8 months ago @carokay1811 So only rich people get health care...hmm...I think I prefer universal health care in Canada 2 zJycj8c73sQ

2 years, 8 months ago @myriam7074 I think there’s a possibility of it costing more to give birth in the USA depending on if you had a c-section or not, if your baby require more attention in the ICU for example, if you got an epidural or not.. ect many different circumstances! 4 zJycj8c73sQ
2 years, 8 months ago @rebeccamiller1741 I love your videos young man ..watch often . 2 years, 8 months ago @zelbole Putting the health operators' budgets, which based on ACTUAL costs of doing business with doctors. There's a long time to get your OWN doctor. They are able to refer you to a work history that is BEST for the patient. There's very little bragging about how many appendectomies you did today. Doctor x gets a negotiated salary. That means there's no spedway operating rooms, unless that's the case, at the moment. I'm such a klutz, I would either die from poverty, or starve to death, to meet the payments to stay alive. You probably try the James Bond thing. Don't have any conversations with people who you REALLY don't know. Stayin alive! Stayin alive!\nIt's a real pity about all the tornados, and the hurricane ? problem, there's a real rebuild that needs to be done on bridges, and disaster areas, and there are far too many deserted buildings. You want to get rid of the drug problem, (not the law, necessarily) then do your best to eliminate them. Parks are what people need in the cities of 3, 4, 5 million people, where it is so expensive to go anywhere, and you can't get the time to go there. It's just everyone is running around with some illness, and what George said is true. I think he's one of the best representatives of the life that doesn't give you time to think. 0 zJycj8c73sQ
2 years, 8 months ago @barbietrink4984 I have visited 80% of the US of A. I also visited 80% of Mexico ??. I felt safer in Mexico than the USA. 32 zJycj8c73sQ
2 years, 8 months ago @einna420 Gave birth in Canada - no health insurance, had a partial epidural, got a private room....paid nothing. $0.00r 5 zJycj8c73sQ
2 years, 8 months ago @FabulousGayLifestyle ethnic food is following the asian takeover of the trucking industry. even in canada. You get little hicktowns in redneck alberta changing from burgers to curry because of the influx of indian drivers. (and the locals are taking to it like the uk did) 0 zJycj8c73sQ
2 years, 8 months ago @Caracabana I live on the edge of Toronto, I go to hospitals in Toronto when I need to go to an emergency room, and I have NEVER had to wait more than 10 minutes.....\nI just don't believe that wait times are better in the states... \nI've been to emergency 30+ times, and have never had to wait... be it a broken bone, stitches, or a severe headache... I get taken right in every time... and it doesn't cost me anything..\n\nbut keep telling me how great American insurance is.... seriously... 4 zJycj8c73sQ
2 years, 8 months ago @alannatodd7183 Tyler, I would say you are proof that there are kind and compassionate people being raised in the US. Continue to be the beacon that shines from our southern neighbors. 157 zJycj8c73sQ
2 years, 8 months ago @celestetamarit2619 By asking the question, I don’t think there is an agree or disagree to be had. Each person responding lives in a specified zone. No one could ever live everywhere, in each little area of the United States. You asked for opinions and you got them. 7 zJycj8c73sQ
2 years, 8 months ago @uchia4206 If you are american and need free health care , just pretend to be and illegal immigrant and you'll get it for free. ? 0 zJycj8c73sQ
2 years, 8 months ago @kyleklukas4808 My father lived in California in the sixties . He was a refugee from the war , an orphan , shipped to Canada as a child . The USA sent him a draft card during the vietnam war . He said nope I'm not going , I'm a landed immigrant in Canada, he left back to Canada. Glad he had me here in the great white north. My mother's people are from here . 181 zJycj8c73sQ

2 years, 8 months ago @nucks4cup75 I would bet everything I can afford that if those interviews were done today you'd hear a very different point of view. \n\nThe cost of living here is unprecedented. Everything in Canada is double the price after inflation. A 250k apartment USD is 650k in Canada (500K USD). You may need to pay for your health care, but at least you are allowed to get care as soon as you find the money for it. This is not an option here. If you are dying, and on a wait list, there's no way out. You just need to pray your surgery will still work once your name comes up in a year, two years.. However long it takes. 2 zJycj8c73sQ
2 years, 8 months ago @johnsparkman2007 This doesn't surprise me. Canada usually out ranks the U.S. in terms of best country in the world to live in... especially in the last 5 years. 103 zJycj8c73sQ
2 years, 8 months ago @jamesrally6516 Best decision of my life was to move TO the USA. People just don't know how to navigate the American system. Can't blame them since most Americans don know how to either. Health Insurance costs about the same. Difference is in Canada, the Govt takes it out of your taxes and in the USA you have to do it yourself and most don't. BUT, out of 28 countries with Universal Healthcare, Canada spends the 2nd most and rank 26th in doctors and quality of services. You'll die waiting for surgery in Canada. I'll stay in the US thanks. 2 zJycj8c73sQ
