2 years, 8 months ago @thesangelful We do have our issues here in Canada. You won the lottery if you have a Family doctor here. I've been waiting more than 7 years for one as it is a wait list thing. Even with that, I'd refuse to pay to see a doctor in the US. 0 zJycj8c73sQ
2 years, 8 months ago @thehellyousay Cheap booze is not a complement. 1 zJycj8c73sQ
2 years, 8 months ago @crizz610 90% of us live an hour from the border.. so it makes sense for us to use the social health care when we can. and if we REALLY need it. We can still go pay in the :USA.. My wife if from Mexico and when we have kids we are moving back to Canada so she gets paid $1400 a month or more to STAY home and take care of our children. once they are ready for school we are moving back to Mexico where we both want to be. Canada is just where we come when we need to make extra money with my job. Trudeau RUINED Canada beyond all repair. I can see a Neurologist in Mexico for $1500 pesos... $115CAD immediately. Canada that would be a solid 6 month process...1-2 months to see you family practician and then 3-6 months to hear back from a specialist....THEN another 1-2 month to go over results with your Doc again lol...its a joke. Doctors get paid everytime we swipe out health card.. so theres also a problem with them referring to their friends from school...rather than the BEST specialist for you.... first world problems.. 0 zJycj8c73sQ
2 years, 8 months ago @catzkeet4860 A few years ago, I knew an American, living in NZ who would consistently pass himself off as a canadian(even before tRump) which should tell you about how Americans are viewed overseas. He didn't sound very Canadian I have to say.\nOh and most health care systems are survivable if you don't get sick or have any accidents. That's really not an endorsement of the system. 0 zJycj8c73sQ
2 years, 8 months ago @Dax4You We pay for health care via 'Luxury Taxes'. If you don't need it, that's a luxury so it will be taxed high......like BOOZE and cigarettes. Doctors often send people for lab work, X-rays, or other tests. Patients would pay BIG for those services. I hear Canadians complain about waiting. They sound like Americans cursing cause they have to wait 5 minutes for a Big Mac. I got seen in 30 minutes. I got direct service from a SPECIALIST the day after. Surgery days later. ALL in a week! Where was my wait? When I was younger I lived in Fort Lauderdale, then 25 yrs ago I lived in north-west Dallas..... both times I moved back to Canada in less than 6 months. 0 zJycj8c73sQ
2 years, 8 months ago @IgotStoot Recently had a mammogram at the hospital and received a call back the next day for another one and ultrasound. At the second visit they asked me to wait and informed me that I had to get a biopsy. Upon getting that done 2 weeks later they told me I would find out my results in less than a week. 4 days later my doctor called me to deliver to great news. The nurses and doctor at the breast clinic at North York General were amazing. We are so blessed here and I am so thankful. The cost of this was parking…. What a joke! My father immigrated here in 1950 and am so glad. Would never live anywhere else but if I had to, I certainly would never live in the US. 15 zJycj8c73sQ
2 years, 8 months ago @TM-qj4yr The person from Toronto to Seattle said that he/she has to pay for medical treatment and had to pay. Of course, that person had to pay because that person is no longer a permanent resident of Canada! 1 zJycj8c73sQ
2 years, 8 months ago @craftymulligar U.S. its a high hospital and insurance racket. Cananda guess its government funded from taxes. Money comes from somewhere. 0 zJycj8c73sQ
2 years, 8 months ago @Cooking_Patty55 American helath care is privatized, Canadian is public 0 zJycj8c73sQ
2 years, 8 months ago @91rss there isnt free health care Its pre paid via the high taxes, The wait times for procedures can be 5 yrs. MRI prob 2 yr wait. US is this week, You dont get hearing vision teeth or cosmetic(warts etc) or medicine and you need a plan to cover them and most times a lot of medications are refused. People need to know LA is the 5th largest city of Canadians BTW, There are plenty private You pay Dr;s in Canada, or want a DR? you have to join a Co-op and that allows you access. Prescriptions are cheaper 700% cheaper for diabetic stuff, Antibiotics are 1000% cheaper. 0 zJycj8c73sQ
2 years, 8 months ago @rhondahoughton790Canada Come visit Tyler. If you come to Saskatchewan I would love to have you visit my home for a couple of days and show you how beautiful it is here. I am a 51 year old grandmother and my offer is NOT a creepy one. Had to say that for the creepers who will comment on my post ? 0 zJycj8c73sQ
2 years, 8 months ago @Pinchton Anedote: Was on one of the Quora (see these are from Reditt) a gentleman was explaining that he had a motorbike accident and had multiple breaks to the lower leg. When talking the options he decided to have his leg amputated. Reason it would cost him a hell of a lot less than get his leg repaired. He didn't want it amputating bit with no guarantee that his leg would be fully healed he decided to go with the cheaper option. 0 zJycj8c73sQ
2 years, 8 months ago @gillesblanchard1699 Living in the USA is like living in Gaza today! 3 zJycj8c73sQ
2 years, 8 months ago @jeremythebeer8609 I'm going into this video as a Canadian wanting to move the the USA. Vermont or Maine is appealing... Let's see what happens! 0 zJycj8c73sQ
2 years, 8 months ago @thedude1249 ✨YIKES! Lived in Texas for 3 years. Moved back to British Colombia, I am never going back there. It's terrible there. ??? 2 zJycj8c73sQ
2 years, 8 months ago @nightshift3635 the reason they dont want people to talk about politics in all western ountries because they are trying to keep people ignorant ad only want them to look at political policies the day of the election than you can pick the kinder gentler ounding polices which arent cause you havent peeled the onion on those policies 0 zJycj8c73sQ
2 years, 8 months ago @xxxmikeyjock Breaking Bad, the whole concept of it is impossible for the rest of the western world to comprehend 0 zJycj8c73sQ
2 years, 8 months ago @Johnnymanitoba91 I’m proud of my country. Not all of it but most of it. Im not going to divulge all of my opinions of course, but I would say we have a very big disconnect across the country believe it or not and I don’t think most people who live here even know that. I’ve always wanted to visit Maine though. 0 zJycj8c73sQ
2 years, 8 months ago @thatcanadianwhitetrashguy You being American don't know how it feels like to go to a Doctor or Hospital when Your Sick and then just go Home.\nWe Pay for Our Drugs and Travel for most of Us, but Nobody goes without Medical Treatment when They need it.\nEverything Else is Covered like a Place to live if Your not too Criminal.\nLots of Woods to live in if Your Resourceful like Me.\nPut Me on the Streets and I'll build a Ponderosa Chalet in the Woods and Live Free. 0 zJycj8c73sQ
2 years, 8 months ago @jvp6092 I am Canadian, my husband is American. I moved to the USA 11 years ago. I live in a liberal state (by American standards) with little violence (by American standards). I like where we live and enjoy most of the people that I interact with. I would move back to Canada in a heartbeat. I must confess that I felt like I stepped back in time 20 years when I moved here - labor standards in the US are so behind the rest of the world (maternity leave, paid time off, job protections, etc). To a Canadian, US culture feels accepting of racism, violence, us vs them mentalities, gun culture, religious and political fanaticism. I still can’t get over how “normal” Americans think their healthcare system is…. most other countries think it is absolutely nuts! I have good insurance, but if I ever develop a serious illness….I will move back to Canada where I can attempt to keep my health AND still have a house to live in. On the surface, Americans and Canadians look alike - but I still feel the cultural differences every day. I’m sure that America feels safe and wonderful to Americans who grew up here - but it can be difficult for people who grew up with different values to agree that these things make America “great”. 60 zJycj8c73sQ
2 years, 8 months ago @LAM1895 Funny how our canadian healthcare is praised everytime but I hear horror stories these days from my brother who works in an hospital. Availability is seriously reduced because of the number of patients, the lack of personel and the bad management by both the directors and politicians. It's to the point that even patients are actively cheering for the personel to go protest down the streets... 0 zJycj8c73sQ
2 years, 8 months ago @lassiewho It seems to all come back to health care. If you don’t have your health you have nothing 0 zJycj8c73sQ
2 years, 8 months ago @TheAmtwhite I disagree with medical quality is better in the US. The quality of medical care and research is top notch in Canada too. 1 zJycj8c73sQ
2 years, 8 months ago @LouismarieBelanger You go to a ER and they save your life and suicide yourself when you receive the bill. ????? 0 zJycj8c73sQ
2 years, 8 months ago @JuneAdams-li9sy Prior to the mid-1960s, health care in Canada was private, as in the USA. Couples could easily be bankrupted by the cost of the hospital birth of a child. Dental care was (and remains) very expensive; it isn't totally covered by the socialized medicine. Audio, optical, physiotherapy prescription medicine:all pretty much not covered by socialised medicine. Canada does not have a comprehensive medical system. However, it is possible to get medical attention from a General Practitioner without paying a co-pay. Consider, though, that a large number of Canadians cannot get medical attention at all because they have no family doctor simply because there aren't enough GPs to fulfill the country's needs. Have they all gone to practice private medicine in Florida? 0 zJycj8c73sQ
2 years, 8 months ago @SusanKester-n7c Social safety net is another word for socialism. 1 zJycj8c73sQ
2 years, 8 months ago @brucejackson5 Canada needs to build a wall. One that won’t rust. LOL 1 zJycj8c73sQ
2 years, 8 months ago @cattymajiv It's not just the cops that are armed, everyone you see is probably armed, legal or not! The atmosphere is dispicable. I will never go back! But Canadian education is not a lot better than in the States. Most people can't go to University here, but you can't get a decent job without a degree. \n\nWhy does Canada lag so far behing Europe? Because of the American influence. The right wing has destroyed the country and turned us into America Part 2. And the Conservatives have become EVEN MORE EXTREME ever since Trump darkened all of our doorsteps. \n\nIf I had my way, we would cut the continent off at the US border and paddle away toward Europe. Anywhere farther from the US would be a huge improvement. I could write a whole book on why, but for the sake of my mental health, I won't say any more. 1 zJycj8c73sQ
2 years, 8 months ago @PaulaDautremont I love Canadians but if they are unhappy here they can move back. You can't get poutine or curling here anyway. 0 zJycj8c73sQ
2 years, 8 months ago @scarleyxo Tyler you’re so cute!! My mom and I love watching your videos together ? thanks for all the entertainment 1 zJycj8c73sQ
2 years, 8 months ago @Hydecreekfinery I lived in California for about 4 yrs. The only thing I really liked about it was the adventure. I was happy to get back to Canada! Would never move it back. 2 zJycj8c73sQ
2 years, 8 months ago @MisterDaryn If you have a skill, good ideas, or biz savvy, the US has the best consumer market, you’ll make money and be fine. If u do unskilled work, life is tougher in the US. Also, Canada is safer. \n\nI love the US, but Canada will always be home. 0 zJycj8c73sQ
2 years, 8 months ago @karenschroeder1918 In Canada you pay nothing for child birth. My youngest was bi-lateral cleft palate and received the world’s best care, all covered by our health care. 2 zJycj8c73sQ
2 years, 8 months ago @dorfone I've never lived in the USA but I have visited. There is no way on earth I would live in the USA when people can open carry an AK-47 or have to pay the ridiculous prices for drugs and health care. You have , perhaps the most incompetent, complicated political system imaginable and a public with a severe attitude problem. You could not pay me enough to live there, I'm more than happy to live here in Canada. 1 zJycj8c73sQ
2 years, 8 months ago @dougfox9649 Yes USA is undereducated and overly brainwashed by religion, thats why they tolerated Trump ,who should be in jail. Would never happen in Canada. 0 zJycj8c73sQ
2 years, 8 months ago @philmacgregor1374 There is a reason why the USA hasn't biult a wall at the Canadian border ! Maybe Canada should biuld a wall .? 1 zJycj8c73sQ
2 years, 8 months ago @shindamann The average cost of childb in Canada is ZERO 1 zJycj8c73sQ
2 years, 8 months ago @vincepitts9221 Pros and cons for both. Alot of Canadians think the US is way worse than it is. 0 zJycj8c73sQ
2 years, 8 months ago @brianmcnish4528 Despite the differences in opinion, we are example to the world. Whenever one of us has trouble, the other comes running (the Canadian Caper in Iran, the people of Gander NF during 9/11) The Americans are ofren the FIRST to help others! In WW2 we worked together almost seamlessly. So please, no smug bitchin' at each other. We're family. 0 zJycj8c73sQ
2 years, 8 months ago @SuperCutealien It’s not THAT bad. 1 zJycj8c73sQ
2 years, 8 months ago @JenniferL-CDN While the Canadian health care system isn’t perfect I’d much rather have it then to not be able to afford to have any healthcare. I also think once you monetize health care it’s not longer about health but about profit 1 zJycj8c73sQ
2 years, 8 months ago @jasonquaile2492 My eyes just about shot out of my head when he said he could be seen by a doctor in an emergency room in 10-15 minutes. Only way that's happening in Canada is if there's a chance you'll be dead within 15 minutes. \n\nSitting in a waiting room for 12+ hours with broken bones is no fun, but think of all the hours of overtime I'd need to put in to pay for an American visit sounds pretty awful too 3 zJycj8c73sQ
2 years, 8 months ago @sheldonsalem-galambos8865 they're all lying. i'd gladly pay my last 200$ of grocery money to go to the ER and avoid Canadian ER wait times ='D 0 zJycj8c73sQ
2 years, 8 months ago @2727rogers To be fair most Canadian police have much longer training periods then US police. 36 zJycj8c73sQ
2 years, 8 months ago @myoutdooradventures6378 I was born and raised in BC. This is not the same country i grew up in and its only getting worse. Luckily for me my father is American and has been living in Hawaii for the last 35 years. So that is where I am headed for a few years. If Trudeau gets the boot I may come back. But as long as he is the PM he is going to continue to destroy this country 1 zJycj8c73sQ
2 years, 8 months ago @brianmcnish4528 Healthcare in Canada does have wait times, but we treat every citizen. My Doc and I agreed that there should be a small co-pay with a yearly maximum to reduce unnecessary Doctor visits. 6 zJycj8c73sQ
2 years, 8 months ago @smkh2890 If you lose your job in the US, you lose your health coverage! \nThe FDA doesn't ensure food additives are controlled.\nYou are more likely to be shot than in the UK, Australia or Canada.\nNo contest. 0 zJycj8c73sQ
2 years, 8 months ago @BrendaThompson-z7f So many positions in the US are elected so instead of the most qualified person having the job, it’s the person who can get the most votes. 1 zJycj8c73sQ
2 years, 8 months ago @tesseg Life expectancy in Canada is 82, in the USA it is 76. That's proof how inferior the American health care system is. It's an amazing place to travel. I wouldn't trade what we have in Canada to live there. 0 zJycj8c73sQ
2 years, 8 months ago @dennisheyes4561 It's nothing against America or the people, but Canadians that travel and live in other countries eventually miss home. You would probably feel the same if you came to live in Canada for a while. 1 zJycj8c73sQ
