At the end, why are you asking "why?" You have super delicious food, you have a growing economy feeding the national GDP, you have super nice people. Also, if immigrants don't "integrate" then you get to enjoy a diversity of culture instead of it being white washed down to hamburgers and soggy, bland fries. Seriously, I don't understand any of the xenophobia in the comments- or the video here! Some of y'all sound like the MAGA that we have such a problem with here in the USA.

More like Khalistanis rather than Indians most people who are qualified only takes up Canada if they don't get their first choice ( US ) but Canada under Trudeau in the name of diversity allowed people with questionable background without any checks and they mostly come from one region , to generalise this goof up by canadian govt for monies from international students to subsidise education to Canadian citizens is just mind boggling to start with :)
As we know Canadians enjoy their company with Khalistanis , we don't need them here , keep them close to you

Folks....(1) If there are no immigrants We will be eating boring Fish & Chips all the time (2) If immigrants are not here it will be difficult to guard this massive country against Russian threats from the north (3) If immigrants didn't buy our inflated GTA houses from us then we might not have had the Golden Retirements (4) The Dutch in South Africa lost their colony because they didn't have adequate immigrants to help them hold the massive land they captured (5) When someone is uprooted and brought here, they work 150 % than the lazy locals to reestablish their lives this is a fact supported by various economic studies and this is what becomes the engine propelling the country's economic growth (6) When the Chinese came from Hong Kong the locals blamed the Chinese for everything. When the Italians out grew locals in Woodbridge the locals blamed them for everything and called them as Mafia . Now you guys are painting the same thing on to Brown People .This is hypocrisy and not a fact !!! ALL OF YOU ARE SETTLER DESENDANTS OR IMMIGRANTS IN CANADA UNLESS YOU ARE A NATIVE MIND THAT !!! and be grateful for this beautiful world and the life you have . Another fact is Second world war was won by English & Allies using massive African and Indian armies. So the freedom we enjoy today in Canada was helped by African and Indian soldiers as well !!! The English simply don't have the numbers win by themselves .
BE GREATFUL AND LOVE THIS COUNTRY AND IT'S DIVERSITY PERIOD !!!
BELOW IS A SAMPLE OF WHAT IMMIGRANTS ARE DOING TO HELP THE ANGLOSAXONS :
Immigrant Oppenheimer - Enabled America win Second World War
Immigrant Frank Stronach - Founded Magna Corp
Immigrant Andrew Carnegie - Founded United Steel
Immigrant Albert Einstein - Enabled America win Second World War
Immigrant Shiva Ayyadurai- Invented Email
Kevin O'Leary - Irish / Lebanese immigrant
Elon Musk- South African immigrant
AMERICA RUNS ON IMMIGRANT POWER !!! BE GREATFUL !!!

HAVE THE NERVE TO COMPLAIN ABOUT BROWN IMMIGRANTS IN BRAMPTON OR ANYWHERE ELSE IN CANADA ???\n\nIf not for those NOT WHITE immigrants coming to Canada, Brampton would be like any other little city in Canada and would have diminished in population . The Whites alone couldn’t have provided enough of tax revenue to build infrastructure or maintain social programs.\nDue to projected low birth rates, The politicians did a quick fix to increase tax revenue. They offered IMMIGRATION to get working young families who already had education, skills and professions without investing a penny or offering help. Those Immigrants have to pay couple of thousand dollars to apply for immigration and have to prove that they have enough money until they find jobs.. They can’t claim welfare for few years either. By choice many Europeans don’t want to come to Canada. If not for those immigrants who work the aging population couldn’t have got pension.\n\nMUST ABSORB WHITE CANADIAN CULTURE ? English, German, Polish,Austrian, French , Spanish, Russian, Irish, Scottish, Greek, Italian, Turkish. ……..? WHICH ONE ?\nWhen Whites went to Anywhere. In Asia, Africa, Middle East , America, Canada and Australia did they absorb those cultures?\nDid they even ask for permission or get visas ?\nDid they not kill , massacre , rape ,torture and abused natives of those continents?\nDidn’t. The whites rob Or took by force all types of valuables, National treasures of those countries ?\nDidn’t the Whites forced their culture and religions to the Natives and punished them if they wouldn’t ?\n\nLook at Brampton now ! Look at those immigrant children ! Majority of them are university educated and hard working and paying taxes so all of us can live well. If the majority in a city is not like us, then we should learn their culture ?\nI look at the diversity and ENJOY AND feel the pride of a Canadian.\nITS NOT WHO WE ARE AND WHEN WE CAME BUT WHAT WE DO TO CONTRIBUTE TO OUR CANADA

I wish India and Pakistan could be one country—not as British India, but as a united land where people from both sides coexist peacefully and share in each other's lives.\n\nIf we were truly united, think about what could happen:\n\n1. The $50 billion defense expenses on both sides could reduce, freeing up resources for growth and development.\n\n\n2. The Kashmir issue would no longer divide us, allowing Kashmiri people to live happily and fearlessly, finally at peace after decades.\n\n\n3. Punjab would be united again, blending its rich culture and heritage from both sides.\n\n\n4. Pakistanis could visit the Taj Mahal, and Indians could experience Lahore's old markets—all without the need for passports and visas.\n\n\n5. Imagine the beautiful sight of Ganpati Visarjan on Karachi beach, celebrating with the same joy as we do in Mumbai. We already have so many mosques across India, so all faiths would have a home.\n\n\n\nAnd my favorite thought: India and Pakistan together would have the strongest cricket team, with fast bowlers, skilled batsmen, and the best of talent playing as one.\n\nFrom an Indian perspective, some people might ask why we would want this—why merge with a country that has been under military control since 1958? There’s concern about extremist groups, the instability Rawalpindi brings, and whether Pakistan could ever embrace the same religious harmony that India enjoys. In Indian cantonments, people of all faiths celebrate each festival together—could Pakistan someday share this unity and respect for diversity?\n\nOn the Pakistani side, many feel merging isn’t practical. They believe it would only create more problems with a larger population, and cultural differences might make it difficult. They worry about job competition, about religious fanatics clashing, and about how their way of life might change.\n\nI know this dream may sound foolish to some, but I believe nothing is impossible if both sides truly want it. History shows that countries have overcome their divisions.\n\nI don't know why, but I just wanted to share these thoughts. I don’t want to get into the blame game over who caused the partition; I only dream of a future where understanding, peace, and mutual respect guide us all.

Canada is one of the best countries, I agree there are few downfalls, but on the other hand you can’t even in judge a book by just looking at it’s cover. If you are well educated, this country is the best to live in. Canada has already made their immigration policies stern, and are not welcoming everyone now. Do you think Indian politicians are doing good to keep India safe according to their duties? Don’t you think India has a drug problem too? Apply for a visa and come here, you’ll see many people settled, enjoying their life here. People have to face struggles when you move to a new country, it takes time. Canada in one of the most diverse country, go to a school here, they celebrate and acknowledge different cultures and teach about them. I think Indian are well settled and living luxurious life here.

These poor Afghanistans! For 20 years they enjoyed freedom, thriving communities, and freedom of thought, only to be taken back to Allah. ( the taliban )\nIslam brings terrorism, division, and an end to modern civilization, culture, and diversity. \nAfghanistan is doomed!\nWhat can we ( western countries ) learn from this ??

I've experienced life in Montreal and really enjoyed it, but living in the USA has its own unique advantages and challenges. While there are both positive and negative aspects to living here, overall, I find it quite comparable to other places I've known. One of the standout features of the USA is the affordability of housing combined with higher incomes, which makes financial planning more manageable. Additionally, I've found that making friends here seems easier, perhaps due to the country's diverse population. When I first moved here, before getting married, I effortlessly connected with many Americans who were welcoming and open.\n\nHowever, I do have concerns, particularly regarding safety issues like crime and school shootings, which is why I've opted for private schooling for my five-year-old daughter. This is an added expense, yet manageable given the higher income levels here, which still allow for a comfortable lifestyle in a sizeable home outside the city center. Many significant companies offer opportunities, especially in New Jersey where I live, and particularly for those with higher education in STEM fields.\n\nIn my experience, opportunities in Canada or Europe can seem more limited in comparison. Despite this, I envision retiring in Europe, drawn by its unique appeal and lifestyle.

It's a great place to live if you are wealthy and own a home in a great neighborhood. \nI enjoy the diversity and the parks and the sense of community where I live.\nI can't imagine trying to make it here on an average wage.

WOW!!\nTalk about passive aggressive insults towards Canada.\nIn other words, you resent our weather, our culture, our tolerance, our diversity, and our separation of Church and state.\nSounds like you have made absolutely zero efforts to enjoy our Canadian cultural, Winter sports, and freedoms.\nYou don't want anyone telling you what to believe, or how to raise your children, and yet you are embracing a religion that discriminates against women, demands public prayer, and proudly resents the LBGTQ Community.\nYou can dress up your own bigotry in artificial smiles, and glib backhanded compliments, but your own bigotry comes across loud and clear.\nHaving said that I wish you happiness, but something tells me that no matter where you go you will seek attention by gaslighting whatever culture, in whatever country you chose.

But I’m sure you’ll continue to vote for the same people who ruined you city. Also, nobody actually enjoys diversity …. Birds of a feather flock together. Except for food, people actually do love diversity in food … but that’s about it.

Come to Houston, USA. I've enhanced my iman since arriving here. Every morning, I wake up to the freedom in the air. I don’t engage in the following:\n\nNo cheating\nNo lying\nNo backbiting\nNo listening to gossip\nNo corruption\nNo cutting of the beard\n\nHouston is home to 60,000 \nMuslims, with over 100 mosques and prayer spaces, 50+ Halal restaurants, and a Halal farm for fresh meat. The diverse Muslim community from around the globe makes it easy to practice Islam here. Plus, we enjoy beautiful weather all year round – 10 months of summer with 80% bright sunlight and a mild 2-month winter with temperatures in the 50 to 60-degree Fahrenheit range. Thank you!

Toronto is a great city to live. If you enjoy the quality of life Toronto provides. The nature, the parks, the diverse population and culture, and the beautiful people. Toronto is place for you. If you come to Toronto looking for social welfare, free benefit, free food and government handouts, then Toronto is not a place for you.

My point of view....\nIn Canada no language barrier as compared to Europe. If you can communicate in English then it's very comfortable in Canada.\nEveryone is very hardworking, their weddings are simple.\nThey don't spend too much on clothes.....no show off.\nWe need to be more adaptable. \nNot to fuss to much over the food. Be joyful and enjoy the beauty of Canada.\nDelhi is very comfortable.\nGood local transport, domestic helps , good hospitals and vibrant markets.....but the climate is too hot and too cold and the poverty ,air, noise pollution is bit too much. \nUpper middle class is a very happy space in India.\n\nIf health remains okay.... explore and appreciate the new place and their culture.\nIn India too much focus on food... that's why adjustment problems.( within the family also)\nI love the diversity, care for the huma life ,infrastructure and work culture of Canada.\nAbove all very handicapped friendly country.\nPeople are very polite.\n\nTrip to Canada has become very expensive ?\n\nAs a guest we too have a responsibility to make our host feel good and be an asset in whatever way we can contribute.

@polymatter: \nI have enjoyed your videos for a long time. You do great job in explaining the finer details.\nThis video particularly hits hard to me as I am Indian living in USA on a H1B visa. I did my masters here in US and have been working for past 5 yrs, in total 7 years. My company just initiated my i140 application which will take around 3 yrs to complete then the wait for GC will start for 15yrs (for Indians only). During this time we are at the employers mercy. We do get high salaries. But we are in a perpetually limbo. Its hard to find a spouse, start a family or invest in property as your future here is uncertain. \n\nThe H1B lottery system was introduced to keep the selection fair, as there are limited number of applications accepted each year. Hence it is a gamble for immigrants wanting to come here to study and work. The chance of getting H1B is almost 50/50. H1B visa is a temporary work visa, it was designed to be applicable for 3-4yrs until one gets the GC. But because of GC country backlog folks are on it for 15-20yrs.\n\nThe Greencard country limits were introduced in 2009 as the US government felt they needed diversity in the country. They were scared that US will be filled with Indians and Chinese immigrants. Hence the country caps on each country on GC. So if one is born in Nepal, Sri Lanka or Pakistan they get their GC within 1-3 yrs. Where as Indians need to wait 15-20yrs. But here is the wired part, they only consider the country of birth NOT citizenship. Ex: My friend was born in Oman and was raised in India, he is Indian and has Indian citizenship. He got his GC in 1 yr. \n\nThese H1B policies are not a priority to the US government as H1B folks do not have voting rights. They do not have any incentives to change the legacy policies. And we as immigrants in US have no voice except to sit back and pray we get lucky. \n \nThanks for shining a light on this issue. Appreciate it!!

Diversity and minorities acceptance is relatively better in Canada. As an immigrant, the US would have been a big yes had it been thr 1990s but sadly, the perception to US changed drastically after then and would not want to live in the US even if given a job offer in Boston ( a beautiful city i fell in love with). Just because of what is happening on the political scene. If I need to leave Canada, it would be for Europe where work/life balance, public transit and culture of enjoying life prevails. American corporate culture is depressing.

Born and raised Cdn and every point you raise is valid IMO and experience. I love my country however, it is hard to get ahead, we work too much, and cost of living is so expensive. The reason why Canada is wonderful for those who stay is A) Charter of Rights and Freedoms - we are protected by laws and citizens enjoy legal, justice, policing and gvmt services that help protect quality of life. B) it is a safe country primarily and not easy to reach for insurgents, terrorist attacks and political anarchy etc. C) We have so much land and space for people to decide where they want to live - density is not high so you can have space. D) it is a beautiful country with awe inspiring nature. E) we do have one of the best immigrant populations and that is our crown. Being diverse is a blessing so if you are atheist, Christian, Muslim etc doesn't matter - you can enjoy freedom to worship as you wish. And F) Healthcare could improve but, the quality of care is world class and speaking as a breast cancer survivor who's treatment ran $120k (diagnostics, chemo, surgery, radiation, med professionals, rehab and drug therapies) we have access to that care whereas in other countries you may not.

I spent 2 years (1991/92) in Calgary and I fully understand the feeling. Canada simply has not enough quality job. For better job satisfaction and higher pay, you need to head south to get it. Canada is for someone who is looking for a peaceful life and have more private time but not a very social life style. The medical system needs some improvement though. Compared with the time (70s last century) I spent in England, I would say England is much better because Europe is so close and you could enjoy the diverse culture and food. Anyway, everybody has his/her own choice and that is good.

I actually don't object , particularly, to my high taxes in Canada. I do object to the fact that it took me , 15 extra working years to achieve a reasonable income due to the cost of an education being beyond my reach. Now that I have a reasonable income, I find those high taxes spent poorly. Dental care and extended medical or medications? Not covered.\n\nSo where do these high taxes go? Comparing my tax rate to the functional half of Europe's countries, it's about the same, more or less. \n\nBut they have better health care, affordable education and housing.\n\nAnd as others have pointed out, despite living in the biggest city, it's still relatively boring to many of the Major cities I've stayed in globally.\n\nI recommend Canada to immigrants who would enjoy a Rural or Suburban lifestyle that still has access to amenities and infrastructure. There are more opportunities in some ways, and the costs of living are much more affordable. But if you are interested in an urban life with what that has come to mean globally, the best Canadian cities can offer you is 'diverse restaurant options'.

Glad Saskatchewan got 6th, tbh was expecting a 7 but I didn't know the overall quality of life was so high lol. Yeah it's okay here and the diversity is nice, lots of my friends growing up were 2nd gen or 1st gen immigrants! Lovely people, I haven't really experienced much shitty people living here my whole life. I have heard many stories of people getting robbed or other stuff. I've gotten chased down a street once so that was fun. But I totally agree with your ranking and enjoyed the video a lot!!
