I always find it absolutely nuts and hilarious that people with ethnic names like OLIVEIRA try to call out others that "shouldn't be here"
LIKE DUDE YOU GO HOME TOO! 😂
I CAN'T BE TOLD TO (Go back where you came from) AS I AM FBA FAMILY BEEN IN AMERICA SINCE THE 1720'S! HOW ABOUT Y'ALL FAMILIES?!?!?
Many whites didn't come to America until they saw the BLACK STATUE OF LIBERTY IN THE LATE 1900's (that's how many Europeans got their citizenship)
Lastly, these countries like the US, Canada, and the EU fucks around all in these countries business, overthrow their leaders, destabilizes those countries and then WONDER WHY THERE'S SO MANY IMMIGRANTS COMING! LIKE COME ON AND GET A CLUE, STOP MESSING AROUND WITH THEIR POLITICS AND MAYBE THEY'LL STAY IN THEIR HOME COUNTRIES

We europeans are threatened in the east by Russia and in the west, incredibly, by the USA (in addition to the trade war with the EU, Trump just a short while ago said he will take Greenland one way or another). And we are threatened commercially by China, which is expanding dangerously in Africa.\nNow, in the face of all this, either we admit our mistakes and look forward, all together we Europeans UNITED (politically, economically and also militarily), otherwise we will be just a side dish to world history for centuries to come.\nI would add, LET US SUPPORT THE ECONOMY AND EUROPEAN COMPANIES. LET'S BUY MADE IN EUROPE, INCLUDING DIGITAL SERVICES!

Many thanks to Trudeau. I just love it, World Democracy Leaders like Trudeau, Macron, Keir Starmer and many more EU leaders will come to the aid of Americans to show just how Corrupt and Deranged Trump is and, he can't threaten or fire them. Trump's actions WILL trigger a unification of EU Countries with Canada and any other country that Trump threatens. Tesla EVs won't be purchased, EU and Canadian Satellites won't be launched by US companies, and you'll see EU and Canadian Defense company R&D funding and sales take-off as new Trade agreements are made between these other countries that Severely hurt the US Economy in numerous ways which, just maybe, some since into the total Nut-Job, Scum-Bag, multi-Felon and Rapist named Donald.

We in Europe support, honor, and respect the Canadians. I come from a small town in the southwest of Germany, and people are still telling me stories about the nice canadian soldiers that were stationed there until the 90s. I've got canadian relatives and I absolutely adore your country, like so many other germans and europeans. We stand with you Canada, because we share the same values and a COMMON SENCE AND HUMAN DECENCY❤ Qualities, which are hard to find in this MAGA Administration. The EU supports you and welcomes you into their family, like it always has. Lets fight these dicks together haha

Let's be clear Mr. Trudeau, with your pandering to the EU.. No one in your country is at risk. You're so cozy up there taking other countries and other people's money. Nobody in your country is at risk of harm, unless you want to try something? Come on Son! The U.S. is tired of War. We The People are tired of the killing, the killing you are so comfortable with. There is enough War in the world without you adding to it. Are we crystal clear now? We don't need you. And I am willing to go without a few things to prove it to you. I think a lot of Americans are now. We'll see. MAGA ??

Never been about the Fentanyl, It is just an excuse to work in the Tarrifs so he can offset his tax reduction for himself.\nStarted with the 3 biggest trade partners to get the most gains, EU Tarrifs will come.

I'm from Poland. What terrible times we have come to live in... The world we knew is ending, and new alliances are forming. It doesn't have to be the European Union—let it be a UNION OF THINKING PEOPLE, a WORLD UNION OF GOOD WILL PEOPLE. \nCanadians, Americans - you are strong and smart enough (at least half of Americans who didn't vote for Trump) Please, don't give up, fight hard! \n\nUkraine + part of the EU + Canada + Mexico (Greenland/Denmark, Australia, Japan, who's next?) - we can survive without the USA, Russia, and their “minions”. \nWe here in Europe also have Putin's allies - Orban (Hungary), Fico (Slovakia). \nHowever, despite everything, I sincerely believe that decent Americans will bring the impeachment of “Orange Man” as soon as possible. Before he leads his country into hyperinflation and crisis...

We are all living in strange times! The bad guy (Putin) is defended like he’s the good guy and the victim (Zelensky) is criticized like he’s the aggressor. This is so weird and negative like an episode of the Twighlight Zone! I think I can understand how Trump is viewing things. Bill O’Reilly seems to know how Trump thinks. Nevertheless, things are upside down! USA voting at the UN with North Korea and Putin and Belarus and against the EU and UK and NATO alliance nations … against the victim Ukraine? This is unheard of! Yet this is so ironic because Leonid Brezhnev, who was the USSR leader, when Russia invaded the sovereign nation of Afghanistan, and Vladimir Putin was a young KGB agent at that time, working for Brezhnev, is now in his position as leader, and he invaded Brezhnev’s sovereign homeland of Ukraine. Brezhnev must be weeping from hell and regretting his invasion of Afghanistan! Crying from hell, seeing his servant, Putin, in his seat of authority, and invading his homeland like he did to Afghanistan, I’m sure Brezhnev regrets but it’s too late now. He’s burning in hell and he can’t get out of hell! \n\nThe bad deal that Clinton and Yeltson and John Major dealt to Ukraine in the 1990s when they moved all of her nuclear weapons to Russia was like declawing the Ukrainian cat and now the cat can’t defend herself against aggressors because she has no claws to defend herself from aggressive attackers!\n\nCanada and Mexico are our friends not our enemies! China and North Korea still idolize the USSR/CCCP flag and Soviet Union hammer and sickle. Putin is a thug and gangster like Joseph Stalin. Everyone forgot what happened to Alexander Litvinenko except for those like John Bolton. \n\nWe are all living in perilous times! The wrongdoer (Putin) is called good and the victim (Zelensky) is called bad! This is so negatively bizarre and wrong! Isaiah 5:20 warns against this! Putin is not pure evil but he’s definitely not a good guy! He’s a gangster and thug like Al Capone! I think President Trump is walking on a tight rope by trying to make a good deal with Putin. And that tight rope spans from one high rise building to another - the senate and house chambers of the US legislature. The midterms are coming soon and if President Trump loses the house and senate, that tight rope could snap! And all those shock and awe executive orders etc. could come back to haunt him like a boomerang thumping his head.\n\nNever in my wildest imagination would I ever imagine Canadians harboring bad feelings towards the USA! This is 180 degrees opposite of how things were when Ronald Reagan and Brian Mulroney were in the political arena!

You know there's an old saying that I'm sure Trump is very wise about you keep your friends close and your enemies closer I would say the way Canada is talking they consider us an enemy look at all these other countries that suddenly lined up against America who bailed all of them out of World War II and who brought down the Berlin Wall that shows how thankful you are and America's been paying the highest of the EU and the United Nations than any of you chicken countries I would just laugh at all of you you don't get it and all these comments are from Liberal Democrats who hate Trump it's real obvious that's who his fan base is Trudeau the little boy from the north who's not smart enough to come in from the cold poor guy he's in for a rude awakening she thinks he's going up against America and that we believe any of his BS

It's truly unfortunate that this is all caused by 1 person, who no longer has a system of checks and balances on him. I feel our relationship with the U.S has come to an end. We need to have closer ties with our friends in Europe, and secure more trade deals with the EU and Great Britain.

If I was Canada I would put the army on standby. I don't trust the US at all. \nThey will come for your assets just like they said about Greenland and how they wanted to get assets of Ukraine. \nSame with Russia for the EU.\nAlthough Russia is small/overrated player.

A trade deficit occurs when you sell trinkets that no one wants or trinkets of poor quality. Next steps. Restrict people who come from no vax/raw milk regions from entering Canada; Hold military exercises in Canada with EU, Mexico, Columbia, Brazil; Close the Detroit border crossing for 3 days (thousands of amurucans work in Ontario), Restrict electricity exports to NY and MN; Restrict Canadian air space; Alaska no fly zone; Increase landing fees at YYZ and YVR. . Remember 1814 and Lundy`s Lane.

Not personel just buisness. No we are not. We are trying to get the tyrant (putin to the table) EU is weak and we are the only ones who can solve this war. Yet NONE of you even tried while Biden was in office. This will enable us to produce these goods at home and you as well. No need to import export everything. You will come out well too. Its the game you all are playing.

I always viewed Canada and US as brothers, elder being a bully and the younger just going about its business. I never ever thought it will come to this... and If he occupies Greenland it will also loose the EU. What if BRICS and EU goes against US? Initially it might bring more jobs and money to US but this will be the last nail in the coffin, for some reasons I feel the beginning of the end for US has begun.

The West, especially in Europe, is trying to increase their GDP by selling dreams to immigrants: get high-salary jobs in EU. When immigrants come, they can't find jobs but they have to consume food, rent house anyway, for 6-12 months. At the end, they can't find jobs and have to leave. Suddenly, those people will have already given a lot of money to the local European country. What cost the European country? Nothing, except some piece of paper. ?

Canada, EU, UK literally have immigration policies that favour mass immigration. If these countries don't want people to come why make such open policies in the first place ?? These countries roll out most stupid policies in the world and they act surprised when the policies do what it's meant to do.Mass immigration is bad for any country but invitation through policies and then shifting the blame on immigrants is pathetic.

The Canadians have no idea about over crowding of immigrants. Come to Europe and open your eyes to the problems here. The EU which is only slightly larger than Canada (9.9m sq km vs 10.1m sq km) but has had over 30 million immigrants since the 1980s. Canada is a vast empty country compared to any EU Country, there is loads of land there to build new homes, but they don't for some unknown reason.

I'm pretty sure more will come but many will leave so on once they understood that their living standards aren't improving. I see lot of people are struggling and moving to Netherlands, Belgium and soon. Even with two income it's hard to survive in any EU countries. The main reason behind all this misery is lack of housing, tax, tax and more taxes. Netherland is also not a good at housing and taxes. European are not work hard becasue it will only result in more taxes and causes more misery. In EU majority of people choose to spent time with family and friends than earning more money. It is cultural difference between EU and rest of the world.\n\nImmigrants come to EU thinking of earning more fortune like Dubai or USA, so that they can send remittance back to home has just become a day dream. In reality these countries take half of your fortune in taxes and in return they give good water, clean air and almost peaceful life.

Some are yapping, they must not come to Europe!\nIt's NATO, EU, USA, UK... who sell weaponeries, supported decades of war in the middle east, brought their fake democracy and always left it ruined, worse than before... Now these mfs say we've no obligations toward them, they're muslims!\nDo you think they enjoy coming their, playing with their life and their family's, leaving their motherlad destroyed and looted by the west. Name one thing good USA has done so far being a world super power except wars and chaos ???

They expect for someone to come to work to speak German on C1 level, I mean for a reasonable job and on the other end they're allowing all the immigrants in that don't know German at all. They want cheap labor, period. As well even if you're from some other EU country they look at you differently so I don't know how would they look at someone from outside of EU. Would avoid Germany, only as a last resort.

It's all fine and well that you want to leave Canada but where will you go that's any better? After all it is your choice. The problems we see happening around the world are a global problem. There are at least 2 major wars going on. Inflation is rampant in most countries in the world and we ARE heading for a global economic depression that will dwarf anything that we've seen in the 1930's. Speaking for myself my roots are here in Canada which is not the Canada I grew up in anymore. Sadly. Used to be a really great place to live until Trudeau and his band of thieves ruined it. I may as well make my last stand here. If I was going to move where would I go. The EU? Absolutely not! They're tanking. America? No effing way! The American empire is collapsing. Along with the FED note. South America? Don't think so. Most S. American countries are iffy at best. Australia? No. They're nuts. New Zealand? No. They're struggling badly and people are leaving there in droves. Africa? No way in hell. So that doesn't leave very much. Antarctica? Little on the cold side. Few amenities. ;) May as well stay where I am and take my chances. Better the devil I know than the one I don't. If you're serious about moving out of Canada be sure to do your due diligence and research about your target country. Grass always looks greener on the other side but many times isn't once you get there. One place that I AM attracted to is the Azores. Beautiful place. Friendly people. Good climate. One drawback is that I don't speak Portuguese. And I would have to be independently wealthy. After a certain amount of time out of the country I would lose my Canadian pension. It's said that where we are is where we're supposed to be. I may as well take my chances, make the best of a crappy situation and stay here. There really is no better or worse place than Canada. The majority of the countries in the world are struggling with their own problems. I'm not willing to jump from the frying pan into the fire. One of the biggest reasons I want to stay in Canada is that if it does come to a nuclear shooting war it would be very unlikely that Canada would be attacked. So here I'll stay. For better or worse. The LIberals won't be in power forever and if people have the smallest amount of sense, so few will vote for them in the next election that the Liberals will lose party status. I fervently hope that happens. ;)

So the West Nato creates Chaos by Invading and Destablishing their Nations like Afghan..Libya..Iraq..Syria and then dont want the probelm to come to Europe???.All these migrants wants everything from your EU country..Free house..Free everything while their own EU Citizen is being classed as second class citizens, you only have your own EU Gov to blame for all the chaos that is coming to EU.\nNo wonder BRICS Nations are leading the way.

I left Germany after 5 long years. Despite having a Blau Karte, a salary of €86,000 and eligibility for the EU long term residence permit, I just couldn't stand the retarded bureaucracy, extremely inefficient systems, long waiting times for everything, the refusal of many businesses and service providers to even adopt English as an option, the dull cities, crazy real estate prices and a lot more. People were generally nice, but it wasn't too difficult to come across the nasty ones, especially in the service sector. Service, even with high prices, absolutely sucks in Germany, like the complete opposite of Asia. \n\nI didn't even apply for the EU residence permit because I couldn't bother with German B1. I speak 6 languages, so learning isn't an issue for me. My heart was just never in Germany, and it never felt like home at all.\n\nIn Germany, there's a shortage of everything, except attitude.

Turkey has a longer land border with EU country, Bulgaria than Greece. Yet almost all illegal migrant flows from Turkey are deliberately directed towards Greece only. The journalist did NOT wobder or investigate why?\nBS Journalism.\nTurkey over the years has directly or indirectly earned billions and billions as an illegal international human trafficking hub. How cone illegal migrants from ALL OVER and all directions..from Bangladesh to Lebanon, from Morocco to Nigeria and Somalia, all sonehow end up in Turkey trying to cross over to Greece. Why they end up in Turkey to cross over to Greece and not another non-EU country, closer to their end destination in western Europe, i.e\nLet's say Albania, Bosnia etc. The Journalist did not wonder how come and investigate?\nBS Journalism...

Sorry--I feel the need to correct one key aspect of this story. What is happening in Poland, Baltics, and Finland (with regard to migrants) is wholly different than what is happening in Greece. Comparing the two is comparing apples and oranges. \n\nIn Poland, it is Belarus who is weaponizing irregular migration patterns to specifically challenge the EU laws and disrupt society. While that may not bring any clarity to the legal situation regarding what the European Union should do, the *reason* for migration is fundamentally important. On the other hand, migrants coming through the Mediterranean Sea are coming of their own volition. The European Union *should* find ways to be more lenient when it comes to accepting refugees who are expressing genuine need and come organically. But aggressor countries like Belarus and Russia (who are specifically seeking to destabilize the EU) should be strongly disinsentivized from using human beings as pawns. Sure, Poles have shown anti-immigrant sentiment, but Belarussian troops have literally pushed migrants to the borders. They are causing the humanitarian situation, not the EU. \n\nTLDR: what's happening in Poland is totally different than what is happening in Greece. To equate the two is wrong.
|

I don't think Russia is actively weaponizing migration against Europe. It's just that Russia doesn't care much: if the immigrants come live in Russia illegally, Russia will deport them; but if they want to go to western europe (with free housing, free healthcare, etc.) through Russia, then why does Russia stop them? For what? EU doesn't care about Russia's interests, why should Russia care about EU interest?

TLDR; I am an person from a wartorn, oppressive country, and I unfortunately do not have many options to choose from other than Canada to have a chance for a better life.\n\nLet me tell you from the perspective of a person whose dream is to come to Canada: I know all this already, I know things are going terribly and the cost of living has gone up significantly. But the unfortunate thing is, the country I am from, is currently in turmoil. I do not fit in there as a person and hate the culture. Its incredibly corrupt with no growth. I am more western, and open minded, and my original country is a strict Islamic country. I do not fit there at all.\n\nI know Canada has all these problems, but its my only choice for a better future, I dont want to go to US because I dont wanna die, also, EU wont accept me unless I am from EU myself or speak their language which is a catch 22. Australia is also becoming a shithole. That leaves Canada and NZ. NZ doesnt have that good of job prospects and limited scope and I love Canada, always have. The weather and everything that comes with it.\n\nYes its not perfect, but I think its more about knowing that I can go back to a place, that is not dangerous for me and my future family, where I will get good care if I am stable job wise. Once I am in Canada, I will probably buy my own land and use that to have a trailer home there since they are still cheap, save my money, and probably retire in Philippines. \n\nI dont believe everyone else should do that and yes I know trailer's costs depreciates with time, unlike a house, but I dont care about that. I dont think of houses as investment and I never will nor I will participate in that practice. Everyone has a right for home.

Hello Seyi,\nPlease there’s this question which am finding it a bit confusing and it particularly about the eligibility!\n\n\n- Are you accompanying a family member that has status in Canada, or has recently been approved to come to Canada? \n- Do you want to apply for more than 1 person at the same time?\n\n- Do you want to submit an application for a family member?\n\nIn my case my spouse is an EU citizen and is exempt as she even though we traveling together!

I immigrated to Canada in 2010, and here are my experiences inside and outside Canada. I am grateful for a good education; having a Canadian passport opened up many opportunities in other countries to build a higher-level career. However, if I had known the amount of stress, health, and financial damage that I had to endure, I wouldn't have chosen to come to Canada. I would have remained in the US or EU countries where I could achieve even more without suffering to the level I did here. \n\nMisleading immigration promotion: The government-sponsored Canadian immigration program oversells what Canada can offer. It withholds information on the cost of living, chicken-and-egg problems like Canadian work experience is required to get a job at the same level as you are in, Canadian credit history is required to rent a proper apartment, Canadian education is required to secure a high-level job, etc. \n\nHiring process: I knew the Canadian system was not ideal for immigrants over a decade ago, but it got so bad now that even the born citizens are unable to survive. The Canadian government and employers lack a basic understanding that ambitious, high-achieving people immigrate to other countries for high-level positions using proper channels. It's ridiculous to see that Canada uses a point-based system to choose highly qualified personnel to enter their country yet expects them to pursue low-paying entry-level or labor jobs just because they have brown/black skin. At first, I thought having a Canadian degree and experience might help me get high-level jobs, and I didn't think how I spoke or looked would matter when I had high credentials to show off. So, I got my masters & Ph.D. from the Univesity of Toronto, which consistently ranks #1 in Canada. I have a bachelor's from a prestigious university in Asia and had a high-competitive, well-paid federal government job in another country. Still, none of that was recognized in Canada, and I had to volunteer for over 6 months, 10 to 12 hours/day, in a research lab that led to a funded PhD program. I worked even harder during my Ph.D. with many accomplishments, like 40+ research and leadership awards, internationally recognized scientific discoveries, and innovative technologies. I checked all the above and beyond in various domains (research, teaching, leadership, business, engineering consulting, collaborations, etc.). Yet, employers couldn't see past my race, gender, age, etc., and refused to give me the opportunity at the level of my qualifications. Luckily, I managed to secure short-term work in the UK & the US, and it changed even how I see myself. I was highly respected for my credentials, given higher positions than I applied for, and paid 3-4 times more salary and benefits. Of course, bias is an integral part of every society, but my race, gender, age, etc., were not as big of an issue to begin my career at the mid-career stage in these countries as opposed to Canada. \n\nHealthcare: Access to healthcare was another big challenge for me. When I moved to Canada in 2010, due to extremely low temperatures, I developed hives all over my body, my eyes got red, and I coughed for many months. The doctor said there was nothing wrong with me and refused to give me any medication. It took us years to get a family doctor, and we got one through my personal network. In 2015/2016, I developed an autoimmune disease, and my eyeballs popped out. As of today, I did not get to see an eye specialist as they have only 1 specialist in the area, and the waiting time is for years for the first consultation. Every time the family doctor told me that I had iron deficiency, even when I insisted that they should run additional tests and they cleared, they were flagged. The doctor never diagnosed my autoimmune condition. Luckily, during my short-term work in the UK, I saw competent interns who completed my care. NHS is poorer than the medical system in Canada... they are understaffed, don't have hospital beds after surgery, or don't have stock of paper gowns, yet the staff are highly competent and caring. Within 1-2 years, they did complete diagnosis by sending me to various specialists, completed eye surgery, and even found a lifelong condition that was preventing me from realizing my full potential. Following, in the US, the doctors confirmed the diagnosis of all the conditions within 1-2 months and put me on two small pills for life. It has dramatically changed my life, and I have even more admiration for the medical profession. While in Canada, I suffered for over a decade, and every time, I was treated as a hypochondriac and never given a single prescription. \n\nQuality of life: Big cities like Toronto are mainly affected by high crime rates, overpopulation, cost of living, low employment, low salaries, etc. A few months back, there was a huge auto theft, and one of my contacts lost their Lexus car within minutes of parking. Despite being a scientist, I have no faith in politicians or individuals fixing these problems. The salaries are not increasing, but the taxes and cost of living are on the exponential growth curve. The ridiculous part is that Canada expects you to pay taxes even when you are not employed or living in Canada! I lived in London and Boston, and they offer a much higher quality of life and pay. \n\nGrowth potential: No wonder Canada, being a G7 country, falls at the bottom of the list in innovation, equal opportunities, economic growth, etc. It has a decent education system but, due to its inherent bias in the hiring process and monopoly of certain businesses, loses talented immigrants and highly qualified Canadians to the US, the UK, and EU markets. Unless there is a dramatic shift in policies, Canadians, especially new immigrants, cannot expect any positive experience in Canada except for being discriminated against and losing valuable time and money by being there.

Why do people still keep coming to Canada? Because it's even worse where they come from. Unfortunately, even countries in Europe are in trouble. Have a look at France and Germany. Germany is in debt and in recession; all Latin EU countries are in debt up to their eyeballs, facing bankruptcy thanks to free spending liberal governments. As for Developing Countries, their GDPs are not enough to deal with their populations reaching working age. Their growth is too slow, so opportunities abroad look attractive. And, if immigrants move onward to the USA, that is the natural flow Canadian immigration has had for decades. The Can. government will need to become heavily involved in creating affordable, high density housing, cut red tape, and make education cheaper if they want to retain migrants.

I have been reading the posts and almost all are saying life is lonely, here in US or Canada or Eu. So why do you want to come. You can happily stay in your country and enjoy your culture or whatever. It looks like the season that you're filming is winter and its going to be very cold in most places, so most of them stay back in their houses. Everything is available along with all kinds of foods in these countries. May be you dont know how to cook any kind of food and you might have been used to somebody cooking for you. If you feel stressed then meditate or do yoga or take a long walk on these beautiful and clean roads that are not found in many countries.. OR Stay back and dont come to USA/Canada/EU, unnecessarily leaving all that goodness in your countries.

there are dozens of flaws in Canada's immigration system. I am surprised to see that a person who has not spent a single minute in Canada enters the country as a permanent resident . has not paid a single dollar in taxes enters as a permanent resident. has not played his part in Canada's society and doesn't know fuck about Canada enters as a permanent resident of Canada. it does not surprise me to see people commenting about residents living in Canada do not speak English.

\nI will give an example of the UK here which is far more developed than Canada and have very high standards. first of all, no one can enter the UK as a permanent resident of the UK. even if their partner is British, they will still come to the UK on a visa. depending on how much their British partner earns, it will take 5 to 10 years for them to settle in the UK, provided they pass the residency test in the UK(which Canada does not ask for whether you are in Canada applying for a PNP or PR or you come directly from another part of the world). a person who gets in the UK as a student spends minimum 7 years, if he is not married to a British /EU national to get a PR, most spend 10 for a UK PR(known as ILR in the UK) provided they pass the test for English and life in the UK (citizenship test). in return, the UK offers to its residents what no other nation offers. canada is giving away residencies as if its a leaflet. it's easier to get a Canadian residency than it is to extend a skilled visa in the UK. I have lived in Canada and felt that standard of living in canada is not very high as compared to the UK. so if Canada offers easy residency to people, it is only because they also know they are not giving away something precious :)
