Canada and Mexico are not responsible for the people in the US who chose to use drugs. I might come back and edit this because I am sure there are things I am forgetting: \n\n- coughing into your elbow instead of your hands (literally watched a guy yesterday on the bus cough into his hands then put his hands onto the support bar)\n\n- Standing to the side and letting people off the train so you can get on instead of trying to walk through people who are trying to get off \n\n- Standing up and moving to the side to let somebody off on an inside seat of the bus. I have a butt. I don’t want to be squeezing by you \n\n- Taking off their backpack while standing on the bus and putting it between their legs\n\n- Moving to the back of the bus instead of crowding by the doors\n\n- Standing in lines to get onto the bus instead of crowding\n\n- Not littering. Either put your garbage in the bin or take it with you. Stop leaving it on the beach or on hiking trails.\n\n- Learn about hiking before attempting it. We have people going up in jeans and flip flops in the evening and getting stuck on mountains or injured. Some wear running shoes but they don’t have enough traction for the trail\n\n- Shovel the sidewalk in front of your home when it snows\n\n- Stop dousing yourself with axe body spray. \n\n- Understand that Indian food makes your clothes smell. It gives off oils that get stuck in everything. Open your windows and doors when cooking to minimize this as much as possible. You won’t be able to resolve this entirely but do what you can. The skytrain now smells like Indian food even when empty. \n\n- Stop riding your bikes and scooters on the sidewalk. Before nepotism was all about networking, but nowadays, it seems to be about hiring Indian people that you know. I am being discriminated by employers because they think I will do the same once I am in. Diversity in teams matters. Indian immigrants don’t seem to believe in this and think all that matters is the most qualified get the job. This is how you end up building facial recognition models that don’t recognize Black people. \n\n- You work at McDonald’s. Stop blasting Indian music. The McDonald’s by my place is blasting Indian music from the back and it overtakes the restaurant music. \n\n- In a work environment, even if it is all Indians, speak English. You ostracize your fellow colleagues and customers. You are also not improving your English skills by speaking in your primary language.\n\n- Make an effort to make non-Indian friends. It’s really intimidating even as an Indian to see large packs of Indian men\n\n- Learn how to swim. Every year we have multiple drownings at a lake because Indian people are unprepared for the reality of the water. This is a basic safety skill.\n\n- Stop staring at women. Even as an Indian woman I get stared at by these guys. Just stop. \n\n- Get headphones. Playing music or having conversations on speakerphone in public places is rude and very inconsiderate of others \n\n- Stop cheating. Whether that’s cheating the system or during classes. We grow up here and environment that even though we can cheat, the culture makes it completely unethical and you just don’t. The consequences are significant. I get it that you come from a country that doesn’t have enough resources for its population, but you give the entire Indian community a bad name when you cheat, lie, and do other unethical things.\n\n- Learn about Canadian values. The Canadian charter of rights and freedoms exists. Under it cases were won supporting equality for women, LGBTQ rights, etc. this is built into our constitution and it’s so ridiculous to come across people who don’t adopt Canadian values. Why choose Canada if you want a culture of what’s back at home. \n\n- I get it that our healthcare system needs to improve but am disappointing reading advocacy for private healthcare in Indian Facebook groups in Canada. Tommy Douglas was voted as the greatest Canadian. He is the founding father of our nationalized healthcare system. For the most part, Canadian are happy that we don’t have a healthcare system like the United States, where your access is determined by your employer or your income. We don’t go bankrupt when we have a health emergency. Go back to India or go to another place where you can pay for private healthcare, but stop advocating to transition our healthcare system to a private system. While you’re at it go look up who was determined to be some of the greatest Canadians.

I live in Scotland for last 5 years, moved here because I was tired of India. Its corruption, polarized politics, and also how people behave. I have been welcomed by the Scots here, treated with respect and made many Scottish friends and know families who are some of the kindest warm people you will meet. \nI also know lots of Indians who are well behaved and good residents of Scotland. But sometimes I see Indians who simply take advantage of the Scottish hospitality. These Indian abuse the honor system to the point that it has become less prevalent. I once seen some north Indian guy singing vulgar Bhojpuri songs to a white girl when on the sidewalk in a manner that can be called eve testing, that made my blood boil. I absolutely hate it and avoid some Indians unless I personally know them. Being and Indian I dont want to be associated with Indians abroad because these 1-2% Indians have given the rest of us a bad name.

There are now quite a few news stories in Canada of immigrants leaving the country - some back home and others to the USA and other places. Many just get a Canadian passport and then leave. There are public health care and pensions, so it can be an asset and also a convenient travel document to have. A lot of Canadian university graduates have a very hard time finding work in their fields and a lot of them look to the US for a better future. Both immigration and unemployment in Canada are much higher that in the US - so more people are chasing fewer jobs that often pay less and are taxed more than in the USA. Opportunities are generally a lot fewer in Canada than the US, and the business environment is not as favourable, and taxes significantly higher. You would be getting some of the entrepreneurs from Canada moving to the US for more favourable conditions as well to launch a business and also now a lot more rich investor types, so-called high net worth individuals wanting to relocate, because they just raised the capital gains tax in Canada. Capital gains is also triggered on inheritance in Canada with a deemed sale of property and assets, so rich people would prefer the American system and want to be residents there for tax purposes and have their assets grow in value in the US compared to Canada. There are very large numbers of foreign students and other categories of immigrants which may have as their goal going to the US after getting a temporary visa to Canada which is easy to get - maybe something like half a million to a million people in those categories depending on the year, plus around another half million regular immigrants and refugees now. The Trudeau administration has increased immigration to record numbers. It has been steadily going up over the years for several decades since 1990. Because of family re-unification it can have a snowball effect and could significantly exceed 1 million per year. A lot of the sending countries have much larger populations than Canada, so there are a lot more that can be potentially sent to Canada in the future. About 1/4 of the population of Canada has been added in the past few decades. Add to that visitors and temporary visas - that is a lot of people potentially moving to the US. Before the 1990s Canadians visiting the US were not required to have a passport and a drivers' license or birth certificate was adequate. Now a passport is required. It is impossible to effectively control the long Canada-US border, so there could be some unified policies in that area agreed on between Canada and the USA on immigration and refugees. Canada currently has a very open immigration policy with the government actively seeking out more immigration beyond its current processing capacity and trying to take rejected immigrants from other countries. The Canadian government, especially in recent years under Trudeau is immigration hungry. It might be the only country in the world doing that. What some news reports are now saying is that some immigrants are actually leaving, since they find it so difficult in Canada and some are worse off than they were in the countries they came from, which were considered to be less developed than Canada. \nWashington currently has more immigration controls and administrative competencies than Ottawa, so US pressure and influence is a faster way to get reforms into the system than waiting for local politicians to do anything, which is unlikely. Canada is seen by some as a backdoor into the US. Biden's immigration policies could be seen as very conservative in Canada compared to Trudeau's. It used to be in the news about how refugees were trying to get to Canada and walking across the border in Quebec and out west from the US earlier, but now there are more news stories of immigrants leaving Canada trying to go the other way, probably due to high costs and unemployment because the government took in more people than it could absorb into the economy. They have the idea that immigration drives GDP growth so that they can borrow and spend more, expand the civil service, etc. without making any cutbacks or efficiencies, supposedly without the Debt to GDP ratio getting worse, just by bringing in more people as if that would drive the economy. A lot depends on who you bring in as well. Are they going to go on welfare, are they going to increase crime, will they somehow contribute to society, are they a net tax benefit or cost in terms of government services, will they invest money, will they start a business and create jobs for others ? Those issues do not factor into government decision making in Canada for the most part. Ontario Premier Doug Ford did say there were too many foreign students. It is bad planning not to consider those factors since there are other costs that grow with those policies as well, and infrastructure has to be expanded. I think that the real immigration numbers to Canada are not transparent or made public, nor are the costs involved, if anyone even knows what they are. Nor is the impact on crime. You can guess from what the reports are in other countries. The Fraser Institute has made some estimates on the net costs of immigration to the government budget a few years ago, which were very high and which by now have increased - the cost equivalent of several new aircraft carriers each year. They are big numbers which are not publicized, but it amounts to the fact that immigration is subsidized by the taxpayers in Canada and it is not paying for our pensions as an ageing society as has been claimed. There is less money for education, health care and pensions per person, and those social benefits will probably have to be reduced over time. Social programs can only be delivered to the extent that the government has money. The bigger social system a county has, the more such immigration policies are going to cost. Trudeau has been expanding various social programs as well, so higher taxes and debt are likely with that approach. Then more productive people and companies will want to leave Canada and go to the US. If they can just walk across the US border and get papers so easily making an asylum claim, it is not surprising, since it would take them longer to get a regular visa and work permit if they did it legally. You could call that a loophole in the US immigration system which is being exploited. The US is better governed in general and has a better system in many ways, but I am not sure if it is the same on that. People have arrived on boats and have not been sent back. At least in the US you have more open information about those issues. In Canada it is hard to find out anything about it. Deportations from Canada are very few. \nOn other issues in Canada when voting in federal elections you have to show a government issued photo ID like a drivers' license or passport to vote and bring a card that was mailed out to eligible voters that gets updated addresses when a person files their taxes. I have never heard of mail-in ballots in Canada, but there are remote areas of the country in the far north who may have special system for voting. It is easier to get a Canadian citizenship than US and many more citizenships are handed out in Canada each year in proportion to the population than in the US. Canadian might be one of the easiest citizenships to get in the world. The official line now is that it is a country of immigrants. Based on current trends, will very little opposition to it in the parliament and most MPs supporting it, future immigration to Canada could increase to several million per year because of the rapid growth of population in the world, and the momentum already growing of immigration to Canada, so it may change significantly in the future. Historically around the world you can see many examples that country names, borders, flags and languages change over time with population changes, so it might not be called Canada anymore in 50-100 years. For example, Bulgaria used to be called Thrace which had been a powerful kingdom in antiquity and had a different language which is barely known about anymore. Over the past 2,000 years it has gone through a number of changes and had various regimes governing it, has been independent and also part of several different empires. Canada has only been a country for a short time in comparison and has been been going through significant changes. Trudeau has said that Canada is a post-national country. Canada is also going through a period of critical self-examination and deconstruction-revisionism. A lot of what had been viewed as positive from its history now is seen more critically, with re-naming and removing historical figures now seen as negative.\nDiscussing immigration policy critically is considered by many to be taboo in Canada, unless a person is saying good things about it in general. You can hear people say that the government isn't processing enough people, for example, but not often that there are too many or that it costs a lot of money. I went to Conestoga college, and I wish your mon read my words. Canadians, should consider that international students are paying around 20k yearly to Canada Colleges institutions that are not offering better education than the one provided in their own countries for way less than 30k. Other developed countries, like Germany or Belgium offer the same programs to international students for around 8k yearly, but, the international students rather come to Canada which also offer an easier path to become PR. But then, they crash with the reality and they realize that even many Indians can't speak proper English to be competitive in a Canadian College or in a Canadian company. Unfortunately, Canadians educational institutions know that the English spoken by international students is not enough but, they send them an acceptance letter from the institution so they can come and study in Canada. So, the real problem are the Canadian public colleges and Universities accepting people with a poor English level from overseas. Canada is a great place to be but, this kind of actions make their productivity poor which is in reality the problem behind the bad economy development when compare with similar developed countries. So, your mon should first blame its own country policies and educational institutions rather than international students for that kind of behaviors when they are students. Also, you should put your self in their shoes, learn German and go to Germany and see how easy is to manage to get a waitress job only in German in a city like Cologne. And then remember that this international students are bringing 20k from their countries economy to Canada each one yearly. Know, think how many Canadians bring 20k yearly to India or Nepal... I'm only halfway through but feel I need to comment and well I'm not exactly a new Canadian. But I was born the but grew up in New Zealand. And well why not . I moved over there in 2014 with full rights as a citizen. My trade wasn't recognised. Canada has its own rules about everything. You need to have training to pour drinks in a bar wtf.! But yea I came wanting a better life and well thankfully I wound up in Calgary so eventually I had the money to leave. And come home where know having seen the Canadian shit show I'm killing it here. Every parent knows what is best for their children and families. I live in Pakistan 2. Me and my brother were born in US to Pakistani parents. My mom didn't want to leave US but my dad said there is no religious environment there plus our whole family lives in Pakistan and didn't want us to grow there. Our apartment owner who was Christian was not letting us go. He said that u guys r such an amazing people, good Muslims, nice to everyone and take Care for everyone. It was really hard for both of my parents but Allah made it easy for us. My mom passed away when I was 18 and my brother 15 and I really miss her. My option is u can guys move to Pakistan. U can get Islamic education + Islamic environment. No matter how bad our politics, government doesn't care about Its own country and no cleanliness but I still love Pakistan. I really respect you guys for making such a hardest decision with strength. I really support you guys with this decision. Just don't mind I was just giving an advice that Pakistan is way better but it is totally up to u guys which country u like to make your better life. But where ever u guys go, u are all always in my prayers even our brothers and sisters in Gaza. My family moved 22 years ago from Mumbai to Toronto…while the struggles said on your channel are real, there are also perks which I feel like you didn’t get to experience. If people have good jobs, stable family life then DON’T move…culture shock is huge that people moving from India don’t consider, just by wearing and eating western food doesn’t make you western! \nThere are sacrifices to be expected which you don’t realized as your great grandparents or grandparents might have made when they started out! \nMoving to another country is never easy, unless you’re loaded with $$$. People in India are lazy as they have people working for them and don’t realize how difficult it is living outside of that lifestyle (not everyone in India can afford housekeepers, cleaners). Being independent and doing things on your own has its own positive (just need to figure it out). \n\nI have worked in healthcare for 16 years and let me tell you…social system works better as everyone gets the health service without being judged about $$. Healthcare is based on priority around the world but people don’t understand this as they feel like their problem should be attended first no matter what! \nNot all drugs are legal in Canada, marijuana is legal though with acceptable limits…you probably were misinformed about drugs! Teach your kids about right /wrong when it comes to drugs, smoking, alcohol and that’s the best you can do! I know people who live in India and do all that which you mentioned you were worried about for your kids. \n\nWhat you experienced was a classic case of culture shock and your expectations didn’t match the reality! Moving away from family, changing lifestyle and being responsible adult (doing things on your own rather than relying on workers) is difficult but doesn’t make the country bad that have you an opportunity to settle! Don’t take things for granted even while you live in India…appreciate the effort that goes into everything- keeping roads clean, people working hard, etc. \n\nBest advice I can give to those considering moving to any foreign country is: Keep an open mind, be ready to work hard and visit the country you want to move to before you make the grave decision of uprooting everything! Things usually turn around and get better after 5 years mark- focus on upgrading your education if you have a basic degree from India (even you know how competitive things are in India, so how can western world not be!)\n\nBeing vegetarian- things are tough when it comes to food but living in Toronto has never been an issue. Even people living in India avoid outside food due to hygiene reason which is not a problem in Canada as food inspection is pretty strict (having worked with ministry of health). \nCities like Toronto, Vancouver, Montreal, etc has variety of food options (including veg)…just have to be really open to trying other cultural food (Asian, Mediterranean, Italian,Mexican, etc). My parents are strict vegetarians and have never truly struggled when they are out. \n\nCost of living is definitely higher as the standard living is higher compared to India. Education (until grade 12) and healthcare are free (in reality, you pay tax for it), you get pension when you retire (based on your contributions and type of jobs you had)…you failed to navigate the system and I will say having family around is why you didn’t take opportunity to explore and learn on your own. \n\nPlease don’t come to Canada and make life difficult for other Indians who choose to willingly accept the culture and lifestyle here after going through this hardship- cost of living and housing has gone up dramatically in major cities because of immigration influx! If you’re serious about moving and putting up, only then move! Otherwise all the best for your future endeavours!

I agree, I was born and raised here, unless you speak the language, have a good education, its puts you behind the 8 ball if you want to stay here. Why? Because the cost of living is too high, Why? Because our gov. let foreign powers come into out country and flip our real estate to make fast profits and that drives up the rents and costs of housing to the point that you cannot afford to live here, period. The only way that you can do it is to team up with other families and all live in the same place and slowly build up your education, job skills and income to a point where you can afford to live and get a place of your own, thats the way they did it in my parents time and it seemed to work, but when you have a gov. that all they can think about is their climate control BS and to raise the carbon taxes, interest rates causing inflation, causing prices to go up on everything it becomes a losing battle. So unless you are prepared to work two or three jobs, don't even think about it, because now its next to impossible to do unless you have someone supporting you on your climb to the top. In Canada we need health care workers and that could be nurses, doctors, health care aids, psw's, dsw's and physiotherapists, in some provinces they give free courses to get these jobs and you end up getting good wages like min. 25.00 per hour to start and all the hours you can handle, that means if you work 60 hours a week, you make 1500 a week, now that you can survive on, I know this for a fact because a friend of mine just went through the course and now she is set for life, that was a PSW course, its all up to you, if you want it bad enough, you can have it all. The bitter truth must be accepted. Without any exaggeration. Completely impartial. I have to say that I didn't see a single piece of garbage in any of the other country's videos to convince myself. Without exaggeration, in all Canadian cities, you will find a piece of trash or garbage on the ground less than every hundred meters. It must have an important reason. I do not know. At this time I live in Saint-Sauveur with my family. I work 5 hours a week as a volunteer person to clean the sides of roads, streets, national parks, and public places in the city. I lived in Vancouver for 4 years, this city is a disaster. when you drive or walk on East Hastings, Victoria Drive, Commercial Drive, West Georgia, Broadway, Main Street, Granville, and most places downtown, you never believe this city is in Canada. they're worst than some places in Africa or the 3rd world countries in Asia. I love this country and try my best to help. I came for peace. I thought Canada is a developed and first-world country like European countries, the US, Japan, South Korea, Australia, News Land, and Singapore with the western standard, and also I thought is one of the best. The first time 2018 I arrived in Vancouver, I was shocked. I saw a lot of homelessness, trash, crime, ugly urbanism, and rusty houses in downtown and east Vancouver. I saw, homeless people, pooping and peeing everywhere and it's so common. nobody cares. I was shocked again. I endured for 3 years but every day going worst. late in 2022I decided to move to the east coast because I thought that place has a stronger culture. I chose Montreal. I had heard it is the capital of art and civilization in Canada. it was absolutely wrong. Canada is Canada. I was shocked again, again, and again. the wave of homelessness, graffiti, vandalism, bad smell, terrible infrastructure especially roads in or out of the city, and above all, you can see trash everywhere. plastic bags, tissues, water bottles, and disposable cups. You cannot see any street or park or public place without these. This is impossible. surprisingly nobody cares. neither the people nor the government!!!!!!! please, don't be fooled by the advertisement about a good Canada. please, be careful. most of the things about a good Canada are deception.

Nothing is the way it was years ago ,Today our society has changed , Certain things that were accepted years ago are no longer accepted in todays society .Its new Governments and new Generations of people that think differently than the ones in the past .Things are different ,Besides that, you cant blame people of today for things that happened in the past by people the generations of today didnt even know. That isnt in any way even fathomable. But if there is hate floating around Canada for some ,maybe the hate isnt for the race of the people, but for the individual and their behavior towards others. Reality of Canada - Very bad weather - freezing with gusty winds with \nsnow or ice ,get ready to shovel alot of snow in winter, winter type \nweather is for 8 months, very high price of house plus other high \nexpenses which are unaffordable like on an average house price is \nmillion dollars plus other expenses makes you 12,000$ per month which \nyou will not get easily as salary, high rents also almost 1700$ for one \nbhk ,whereas on an average you can make 2000 $ /month , high car \ninsurance plus high phone plus interntet plus grocery , no taste of \nindian vegetable & indian food ,its a big problem if you are a \nvegetarian, no specific job industry & 97% warehouse jobs which pay \nlittle also 99% sardars drive truck but truck is a very hard job esp in\n winter ,very hard to get good paying jobs & other jobs fon't pay \nthat much only illiterate people can do , no social life ,even no \npersonal life as women become very weird after coming to canada & \nlots of divorces happens in indian people after coming to canada, people\n of canada are very dead & shows no emotions like indians are . when\n kids grow up they have no feelings fo rtheir parents in canada as they \ndon't know what is indian culture , super worst medical system with 20 \nhours waiting in emergency plus doctors will never give you any medicine\n due to legal fear also you will never get timely treatment or even a \nmedicine like india, also specialist doctor appointments will take 6 \nmonths in canada while you can see specialist doctor daily if you want \nin india , dental & eye is private but very costly only if you have \nwork insurance, no servants or maids like india so you have to all jobs \nlike cleaning house, cooking, laundry ,dishwashing by yourself even if \nyou are coming from 8 hour job which is very tiring , canada is only \nheaven for punjabis for others they have to be very careful

why not just make your stay here legal? stop hiding, pay taxes, gain rights, live in a house and get a job. if youve been hiding in a church for 15 years. youre not doing your family any favors. just do what it takes to become legal. i know its harder said then done these days but its gotta be better then hiding in a church basement for 15 years. plus you need rights, you need to be able to call the police when theres an emergency with out fear of deportation. come on! one time i hit an illegal with my car. destroyed the back end. i felt so bad! i have great insurance and wanted to take care of their car, and make sure they got checked out at a hospital but they refused cause they didnt want to get in trouble. their car never got fixed.... even though I wanted to fix it! i mean come on people supporting illegal imagrants are puting them in danger. they need to be given a path to legal citizenship and stopped from entering with out doing so.
